HOTS is truly the best PvP game right now... ...not because its all that good but because everything else is terrible and nothing new is coming out... All HOTS needs is more heroes and obvious balance fixes and I'd probably keep dumping money on skins, I imagine a lot of us feel this way.
Falling Sword is Johanna's AoE Cleanse ult. It is a defensive heroic ability that's only there to counter CC, in this case Anduin's Lightbomb. Thats why you use it as shown in 7:11 - You press the button before Anduin uses his Lightbomb, then Anduin is free to use Lightbomb, then you lose. This is the way. (Slash S, kappa and such if not obvious.)
This is why HoTS is and was the best MOBA. The full backstory of the heroes that allow them to do crazy things with. Rag, aba, chogal and so much more.
I'm a "old school" hots player. Used to sit between plat 2-4 on every season, around 2015. Now i started once again, yet with my knowledge of the game and my above average skill, im stuck at silver. Idk what happened to the game (or to me), but people really miss the basics and blame a lot when you try to ask them to follow macro. Is like, team is underleveled? I try to ask them to avoid fight, soak, camps in right time for OBJ then group and fight but no, they go, they die, and after that i even get blamed. Anyone else on my situation?
I can give you my experience: I started playing late 2014 during alpha, quit around late 2016 shortly after Lunara and Greymane came out, then came back for a bit in mid 2017 but quit for good shortly afterward. I believe I was Diamond in 2017, and before there were those ranks, I was in rank 1 during the preseason. I came back to the game on Jan. 3 of last month after not playing the game since mid 2017. After coming back last month, I went straight to ranked with barely any practice. I got Silver 5 and even went down to Bronze 1 after some loses. Then, I kept playing and hovered around Silver 1 and Gold 5 for a bit; then, I kept playing more and finished the season hovering around Gold 1 & 2. Right now, in this new season, I'm Plat 4. I've had terrible games where we stomped and games where we stomp. I've had games where we were losing hard early, but we end up winning in the end, and vice versa. It just depends. The game hasn't changed that much. You just need to keep playing, learning counterpicks, match-ups, etc., something I've been doing myself since I came back. Again, just keep playing so long as you enjoy the game, and I'm sure you'll climb the ranks.
I dont know if this is just anecdotal, but I was a diamond 1 peaker I think 3ish maybe 4 years ago. There were many counters and matchups I didnt know, many talents I didnt know, and map basics that werent instinct to me. I just started playing again and im literally in gold 5 and went down to silver 1, even though im playing with mroe knowledge than I had before... I feel like everyone that is still playing the game is far better than they used to be, potentially due to smaller player base since 3 years ago Idk. my games in gold elo feel harder than when i was in diamond. Im getting absolutely shit on sometimes but am usually top damage/exp in every game
Ty for sharing your experience. Im also, nornally, highest damage/exp and i find the 1v1 matchup at the start Easy. So basically im not in my Elo, but somehow the game roots me here. Also when i win i get around 195 points, when i lose 205. Which means the only way to climb up Is to have a huge win ratio. But that feel impossibile, games are so random that i can tell who will wins just in the hero pick.
The short and disappointing answer is that you are not as good at the game as you think you should be based on memory. I used to be a highly athletic runner, didn't move much for years, then tried a half marathon and cried in pain as old people jogged next to me cheering me on with words of encouragement. "But I'm a sports guy", my brain insisted. No, I'm fatter, lost cardio and flexibility and my joints suck. Games are no different. You leave your prime, don't exercise your brain and hands, and you drop ranks because other players are younger and have played more.
@@onkelpappkov2666 but im nornally performing better, best on every stats, i do camps when close to obj, i avoid dying for nothing etc. My issue Is that team does not listen, they fight when under leveled, they Aram 4v5, and blame me if i soak instead of fight
never understood the Falling sword "fun" aspect or things of the like. Imagine lv 20 Capt America Shield upgrade, you can hit 5 people and stun them all for 2 seconds almost all the time. it's an easier to hit Mosh Pit. for half the duration and half the cooldown but,
Falling sword 20 is huge. The cooldown almost resets if you hover over 2‐3 people. Multiple stuns, free damage, untargettable, engage/disengage. Doesn't fit every match up, but it definitely has its place
@@laugh8574 yea, ARAM maybe. the neat part about jumping in the air as a tank, is you take yourself out of the fight, you sit there, not bothering anyone. Can't bodyblock, can't face check, be a nuisance with your very existence. And you make the stun sound so amazing...it's a 0.25 sec stun. a W basic ability stun. it does almost nothing outside of interrupting channeling abilities. which you have your W for already AND it pulls stuff towards you already. And 20 falling sword is at 20. 13-14 minutes into the game where you dont have an ULT. So fun!~
@Shadow.24772 If you use it in the middle of a fight, then yea, it takes you out of your role. In a dive comp that your team can follow you in, it's an amazing hyper-aggressive engage. Alternatively, it allows you to zone out a bit further, knowing you have an escape. The 20 allows you to use it as both in the same engagement
@@EtherealHOTS I guess that's the point I'm trying to make but explained poorly. It's a movement ability that has a stun. And I only mention the 20 cus the capt. America 20 was mentioned
I don't know if it's because you've played a lot of Lol and Dota, but your engages now a days are really really bad lol. Gotta stop running in and dying my man, your teammates are none too happy
I am a simple man, i open youtube, see Grubby HOTS content, i click, i like, i enjoy... good time to be alive
I know this is copium but I want to believe that grubby is helping HOTS stay alive
HOTS is more alive right now than it was three years ago
Fan is keeping HotS alive. Grubby brings some new people

Can a M.U.L.E. repair Ragnaros? ( I have never seen both used at the same time )
Nope and MULE doesnt repair Ragnaros. It cannot extend molten core.
Ragnaros is not a structure in Molten Core form. He's still a heroic unit.
