Heroes of the storm has been my favorite MOBA for a while. It’s the only one between the League and Dota 2 that I am able to play consistently and still enjoy. I usually if I just need to chill after a long day of work or just want to relax I play heroes.
Yeah for some reason we have very of toxic Russian Dota and CS community) I'm not quite sure why, but everyone is very serious about winning. There's a chance it has something to do with one of our former Dota streamers - EvilArthas. He was both extremely popular and toxic for many years and probably had huge impact on our community.
Do you think that the native Russians (I know that a lot of different countries speak Russian) are more defensive online because of the bad rep they got (not deserved) that they then internalize? I played a lot with Russians and it seemed that very often they were defensive and assumed I had a bad preconceived idea of them.
Im not quiet sure, we're pretty much hateful to one another as well) it's kind of complicated to find a reasoning to it. It is what it is, and it always was like that. We had post game fights at times, when computer clubs were popular here, about 15-20 years ago. So i doubt it really has something to do with prejudices
@@tinwendil1226 ok, well we had those fights here too, I remember one after a game of counter strike, one on the losing team sneaked on his mate's computer and deleted his diablo 2 character, it got worse than a bar fight

Thanks for the info, I know that streamers have a huge influence on in-game communities, we had the same with LoL and french streamers.

Seemed like a case of "kill the streamer".
I think they just used the same mini-map placement of League of Legends to make it more accessible for existing Moba players.
What happened with Grubby and Dota? Is he just taking a break?
He got tired of the Dota community, they drained all his mana. 🪫
