Awesome comparison. I once decided for the SCX, the 4M wasn't invented them. I'm happy with my minis and won't cjange to the bigger scale. But I have to admit, every rig comes along wit many upgrades.
Thanks very much 👍 Yeah, it was the same when I got my scx24. They are very capable rigs with upgrades. I think it really depends what type of crawling etc you want to do. Minis are great and open up new ways to enjoy RC. For me personally 1/10 is still my favourite though, outside playing in the mud is my favourite thing to do and the bigger RCs just do it better. 👍
Was going to go with th3 trx4 bronco but got the defender and got the scx24 in bronco and will say axial with upgraded shocks and motor it as good as the traxxas but when throwing parts at both they both perform the way you build them . Traxxas always sees what axial is doing and builds similar products and ads what the people ask for in the scx24
Absolutely helped me make up my mind.( must admit I was leaning towards the Traxxas before) but hands down the trx4m is the way to go for me, especially that the trx4m bronco is out now. thanks for the thorough comparison.
Yeah the trx4m is definitely better out the box than the scx24. I think the only thing I don't like about the stock trx4m is the slow speed control. I just fitted the low range gears to mine and it made a huge difference. 👍
I've had the scx24 bronco for some time now and just picked up the trx4m high trail and I would say if you want performance straight out of the box get the trx4m bronco or the scx24 jeep or deadbolt but if you love to tinker I love my scx24 bronco
@@DoURC the only 2 I were thinking about was maybe a slight lift kit (to get better clearance especialy in front with the bumper) and the light kit. Would u say there’s anything that’s like a must do to it?
Great video I would have really liked to have seen a Bronco VS Bronco. TRX4M you can reset the ESC to crawl mode and it does better. SCX24, with lot's of mod's, I have burnt out motors of 3, and all the servo's have fried, 7. TRX4M, with a few mods, all the motors and servo's, are still working. TRX4M servos are still weak and I'm sure I will be burning thoughs out soon. I would like to see a little better motor in them also.
Thanks very much and great info. 👍 The TRX4M was already in crawl mode, as I'm not a fan of a brake when crawling. The one thing I have found with the TRX4M is after running it in water it seems a bit worse, whereas the scx24 I've ran in water and mud loads and it's no different. Both great little platforms though, although I think the FMS FCX24 is better value for money out the box. 👍
I think it really depends on your budget and what you want to use it for. I love my TRX4, thing is a beast and definitely my toughest rig. I've only tried one RC4WD and that's my C2X, but it's an awesome bit of kit. I've got a full review of the TRX4 Defender on my channel if you want to see what you think of that. If I could only own 1 RC, it would be my TRX4 Defender 👍
I honestly think the FCX24 K5 Blazer is better value for money and outperforms the TRX4M in a lot of ways. If I could only have one, I'd choose the FCX24 K5. 👍
Thanks very much 👍 Yeah I can imagine reducing the body weight will help. I've bought a load of brass upgrades so I'll be doing videos on those soon. 👍
Important question does the trx4m sound that awful in person or does the camera and mic make it sound worse than in person. That straining noise is foul..
@businessraptor127 No worries. It's hard to say exactly tbh, as generally when I use it, it's either on my rock course for testing, or a trail run which includes mixed terrain with mud and water. Running it through mud and water works the motor harder, so drains the battery faster. On all my runs, I've never ran out of battery. I'd say you can expect to easily get 45 mins, if not an hour runtime, maybe more. 👍

Yeah with upgrades they're both good and very capable. As an rtr, the FCX24 is better than both though imo. 👍

I would say get both , can't go wrong with either one !
🤣 That's a good shout. 👍

Just ordered the Silver trx4m defender. Hyped as it’s my first Rc ever. 🔥
Ah excellent, hope you enjoy it. I've got upgrade videos in my Mini Crawlers playlist if you want to see what it's like with some mods. 👍

@@ItsDoggerid recommend portal axles and a furitek ESC Motor preferably waterproof to start with and definitely some wheels the tusks are great
Why do they mate with the rocks?
I guess rocks need loving too?! 🤷♂️

Good comparison, i love my 24th scale trucks, not yet got trx4m but do want a defender and bronco at some point 👍👍😀
Thanks very much, they are great fun. Definitely check out the FCX24 too as they're great value for money. 👍
Nice comparison.
Thanks very much. 👍
Bro, could you recommend what to buy in 1/10 scale rtr? rc4wd (tf2,gelande,miller motorsports..), traxxas trx4 or smts else?

Il mio Ford Bronco scx24 ha migliorato molto le sue prestazioni tagliando la carrozzeria in eccesso 😊 ottime spiegazioni e bel video
Thanks very much 👍

I have this one ... trx4m defender blue color
Nice 👍
Très bonne comparaison 👍💯👍
Thanks very much mate, appreciate it. 👍
Are they waterproof?
Pretty much yeah. 👍
Cool video 😎 can't wait to buy a traxxas defender and ford bronco some point 🤞
Thanks very much mate 👍
Yeah I'd really like the Bronco, especially in tenth scale. 👍
@@DoURC yeah definitely 💯
Don’t think these trucks are very comparable, but good review
Thanks very much 👍
It's really about comparing the different options on the mini crawler market. 👍
Important question does the trx4m sound that awful in person or does the camera and mic make it sound worse than in person. That straining noise is foul..
No it sounds like that in person! 🤣
I've just fitted the low range gears which has made it much better. 👍
@@DoURC appreciate the feedback. I was either getting the low gears or a second transmission. Good to know it will quiet down a bit!
@businessraptor127 No worries. I've ran mine through mud and water too, so the bushings are a little crusty, which doesn't help! 🤣👍
@@DoURC got another one for you! What kind of runtime are you getting on flater ground vs on trails and crawling?

What is that annoying high frequency sound on the TRX4M?? That is the one thing that prevents me from going with it over the Axial…
Yeah it's quite whiney, it's the electronics. Unfortunately as its slow speed control isn't great, it does it a lot as you're running obstacles. 😬
@@DoURC do upgrade ESCs help to reduce that noise?
imo, the SCX24 is too small for my liking, Trx4m all the way!!❤❤
Yeah the trx4m is definitely a nicer size. I actually prefer the fcx24 k5 over them both. 👍
