Holy crap, the Great Gig in the Sky was amazing. Starts @15:20. On second thought, it was all amazing. And yes, I had a blast! Go River Hawks (they weren't called that when I went to ULowell, of course).
I am old. DSOTM was played the night after high school graduation, the last time many of us would ever see one another. Watching this video makes me feel as if that was last night. Thanks UML, especially for the wonderful musicianship.

Only been a Pink Floyd fan since the age of 10 back in 1972 when I heard this for the first time........lied on my bed with the record player on, and the Wharfedale speakers either side of me........listened to the whole album twice - what a masterpiece it is, and these guys deserve great credit for a fabulous cover - BRAVO guys.

I still have my vinyl version of this album, which I bought in 1973 when it was released. I played it so many times, and it got so worn, that when I played the B side, I could hear the A side backwards. You guys NAILED it. You not only captured the music, but also the feeling, the emotion that came out of the original. And the 2 women singing "Great Gig in the Sky"? OMG, I was literally in tears when I listened to that. I wish I had better words for that, but I don't think anything can describe that part - you gotta just listen and feel it. I was lucky enough to be at last year's "In the Court" performance, thinking "How can anything be better?". I just found out. To anybody who hasn't seen this yet, play it LOUD.
Absolutely astounding. I've been a fan of this legendary recording for 35 years and know every note and spoken word. These kids not only pulled it off technically, but brought out the deep well of emotions embedded within the music. This was a real pleasure to watch and brought tears to my eyes several times. Bravo!
Third time listening - still amazed. Super cool rhythm section, excellent voices, smashing guitars, on target keys/synth, soulful sax... these students and their professor are to be commended for their dedication, sacrifices and down right brilliance. And big nod to the technical/visual team.
as a vocalist, musician and lover of DSOTM & the Floyd - as well as one hell of a critic, I cannot speak highly enough of this brilliant production! my dudes on the synthesizers ; you rock everyone! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ there IS still hope for the world. ☮

This is outstanding! As a huge Floyd fan and pro musician for 30+ years, the drummer is the unsung hero here. Very nice feel for a young lad who hasn’t grown during the generation that created this music. Guitar tones were great. And come on, that 1st Great Gig vocalist 15:49 was just at another level. How is she not going to tour with David or Roger the next time they need a backup singer to sing this?
Thank you so much! The other guitarists (Leo, Jesse, and Colin) and I put a lot of careful thought and listening into our tones so I'm glad you liked them. And as for Cianan (our drummer) and the girls (Kamryn, Mia, and Kaitlin), you're absolutely right. They were amazing and largely responsible for how good this turned out in my opinion.

The attention to detail was was superb and the effort and emotion put into the performances melted my heart. Absolutely WoW. I'm 72, tripped on this album many times. Cranked up the volume to occasionally hurt my ears. Got to relive those trips. I agree with others, please produce a higher quality file.
I think that the longest video I have watched on RUclips was about 3-4 minutes long, and then came you guys. What a great performance, congratulations to all of you.
I "discovered" this timeless album when my older brother brought it home and I sneaked a listen. I was blown away then as I was now, listening to these young talented UML artists lovingly recreating the ground breaking work of Pink Floyd. The talented young women who sang Clare Tory's impassioned part in Great Gig in The Sky brought tears to my eyes, as it did when I first heard the album. Clare Tory created and improvised the vocals of that song, something she had to sue to be recognized for. I believe the talent brought by UML's singers would get her approval. Thanks for the great work!
I don't remember ever liking such music, was too slow for my taste... But now something changed, cannot get enough - this is something trully special, atmospheric, living. Amazing!

I saw Waters DSotM tour in 2006. This was on par with that experience. It usually takes Great Gig to bring the tears and I was moved long before these women crushed the cosmos and left me breathless. Outstanding.

I’m loving that this album still resonates with young people today. When I first bought it at 15, it completely changed my idea of what music can be. And it was already on heavy rotation on classic rock stations. I’m curious as to the genesis of this project/group. Did the students pick it, was it suggested to them? Anyhow, as an audio engineer who knows every syllable and breath on this album, your attention to detail is commendable. The guitar tones are fantastic, the amount of reverb on the vocals and sax is spot on, it is a really faithful re-imagining. Y’all should be proud.

What a masterpiece! Every guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist, drummer, sax was fantastic to listen to. It just kept getting better, I didn’t want it to end. Such a great performance and such an incredible audio and video production. I can’t wait to watch it again and share it around.

And your rendition of "The Great Gig in the Sky" especially - as others have said, you pulled off the best cover I've ever heard - you literally had tears streaming down my face it was so beautiful. And as for Cianan (our drummer) and the girls (Kamryn, Mia, and Kaitlin), you're absolutely right. They were amazing and largely responsible for how good this turned out in my opinion.

I "discovered" this timeless album when my older brother brought it home and I sneaked a listen. I was blown away then as I was now, listening to these young talented UML artists lovingly recreating the ground breaking work of Pink Floyd. The talented young women who sang Clare Tory's impassioned part in Great Gig in The Sky brought tears to my eyes, as it did when I first heard the album. Clare Tory created and improvised the vocals of that song, something she had to sue to be recognized for. I believe the talent brought by UML's singers would get her approval. Thanks for the great work!

I saw Waters DSotM tour in 2006. This was on par with that experience. It usually takes Great Gig to bring the tears and I was moved long before these women crushed the cosmos and left me breathless. Outstanding.

Kudos the the singers on Great Gig, Clare Torrey would be proud. It takes a lot of guts to attempt that song, and y’all killed it.
I’m loving that this album still resonates with young people today. When I first bought it at 15, it completely changed my idea of what music can be. And it was already on heavy rotation on classic rock stations. I’m curious as to the genesis of this project/group. Did the students pick it, was it suggested to them? Anyhow, as an audio engineer who knows every syllable and breath on this album, your attention to detail is commendable. The guitar tones are fantastic, the amount of reverb on the vocals and sax is spot on, it is a really faithful re-imagining. Y’all should be proud.
