This is the album that I have been listening to since I was 16 all all of my friends and girlfriends had a lot of great experiences..It never gets old ,like an old friend,The Best of all time.
@@mikedenley6739 I was 8 years old. I had a big mirror that I put stickers on. The prism stickers that came with the album were displayed prominently. My current copy is MFSL direct to disk.
My roommate said the other day, it's like you're from another planet, the moon. I said the dark side of the moon. He doesn't get my cosic enegy but listening to Pink Floyd reminds me that imagination and mystical realms are what was happening during this era of music. "Taking away the moments of a dull day... fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way..." That was life then, smoking weed and listening to music and lying in the sun in So. Calif. Can't beat life then. Now it's much crazier but then it was Peace, Man! Loved it!
I never get tired of Dark Side of the Moon album, uncut or digitally remastered it's PINK FLOYD, Gilmore, Wright, Mason and Waters! This album will be playing way after I'm dead and on and on, I'm 65!
Me too, and I'm 76. This album was released when I was in my early 20s. I've LOVED Pink Floyd since I first heard them. Even my father who would have been in his mid40s at the time loved this. He hated all other contemporary artists. 🙄Hated the Beatles 🤔 most of all "ya ya ya", 🤨he would mock when he heard me singing their tunes or when I played their "She loves you" singles on my little portable record player. Memories 🙂
When you’re 6 years old and dad and his buddies decide to step out of the studio for a ‘smoke’ but leave you alone with this album spinning on the turntable, it’s downright creepy. It’s like an imprint that has remained with me all my life. 54 now and I treasure every lyric. I would say this brilliant work of art has helped save me and guide me through uncertain times…..
I had a 1981 Z28 and this on 8 track, T tops. It was a glorious time, youth doesn't know what it has. I went to Korea in 1983 and there was a club called the Moon club in Tong Du Chon which played Pink Floyd all the time. Great times.
Sometimes a wanna pretend this isnt the greatest album in the history of music.... and then I listen and its always reconfirmed... it just is! Close 2nd are WYWH and Animals! MASTERPIECE
No offense but I hope this video never goes viral (so you don't get ads, I guess you would but I'm not really sure.) I'm probably 20 of the views on your video, this is my favorite album in existence and it's wonderfully edited together. I come here every time I listen.
As long as it's in my control (there's copyright claim on the video) I'll never put ads on this video. I think it'd defeat the point of editing all song together smoothly. Honestly I thought the video was taken down after the claim but I'm glad you and other are able to enjoy it!
Masters of "slow". I grew up with the Beatles (saw Ed Sullivan when 10 years old), They were my heroes. Learned most every song, Listened to every detail of every song in headphones, and then out of phase speakers (reverse the leads on one speaker and you hear things you never heard before). Picking everything apart. Became an audio engineer and musician. But have to say, if I was stranded on an island by my self, and had only one album I could take with me for the rest of my life, Dark Side of the Moon would be the one.
So many memories from when I was a teenager tripping on acid or getting high..The go to music for all those crazy nights..I'm 46 now..only weed and shrooms 4 me now...still rocks!!!!!
I got to see them in 1978 at the stadium in downtown Cleveland it was so cool the light show was amazing it was packed out it was probably the best concert I ever went to still love my pink Floyd especially when I smoke me a dubbie do 😊😂
As far as song placement, quality, flow of songs, and overall journey, this album has no peers. You can not get closer to perfection. this is the one and only time that I consider my opinions, facts. I feel The Cures Disintegration is a great album with the same aspects but doesn't even deserve to be in the same milk crate. Remember, once you hear that first note, there's no turning back.
I absolutely love this band and album! Seen in concert several x. Amazing. Wish i could tell story of R Waters going to a friends house in Phx. They were playing at ASU stadium that night. 😂 wild. Peace
Let me simply echo what peter before me said. Accept that i was 14 and its all of floyd that is timeless. None of it ever gets old. Some of the best music ever recorded.
It's one of the greatest albums of all time. Had tickets to see them in LA but got stuck in Teajwana and missed it. I did get to see them in GA in Atlanta GA tech stadium great concert.
Saludos!
My kids heard this album and other PF from babies through today. They grew up with it, and now they get a lot of other music by classic bands and progressive bands. It's all in the environment as a baby. They love them some jazz too. It all makes my wife and me really happy to have things to share together from our younger days and their life. We have seen many concerts together, and that has been priceless.
One of the two most important albums ever released, Sgt Peppers being the other one, could not tell you which one is #1 or #2 only both are mind blowing albums.
For best results, listen to from an original release analog vinyl using a 1970s era stereo headphones with a 6.35 or 3.5 mm plug/Jack. Note if using the optional Brown herbal blend, be sure to use a double album cover with one side slightly tilt it up and remove the many stems and seeds left in the herb before use. Optimal recommended environment: A discrete dark room, preferably in the basement, equipped with a black light along with a wide assortment of posters that can be found at Spencer's Gifts. Kick back, relax, and enjoy 43 minutes of blissful escape that you've never experienced before.
Love them i met my wife and I'm going to have her in my heart she is gone she was wonderful and she loves pink she is in heaven now hopefully she will see you there Ruth and Bob Mace peace love to you all
First time I heard this, I was about 2 hours into a bowl of blue meanie soup served at Juniors right around the corner from The Pub in Kuta. My girlfriend at the time, a Swedish girl named Õsa and went back to my losman and just let the album wash over us. Ah……Bali in the old days.

Wrong. Dark Side is pretty good. I wouldn't want to choose between Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering, so I vote Seconds Out as the greatest.
