My 14 year old grand daughter just walked in while I was listening to this. She was freaked out, said it was "demonic." I told her this was one of the most famous albums in history, that we used to go to the planetarium and watch laser light shows coordinated with this music, and that I love it. She just looked at me like I was crazy. I don't know what this newest generation considers good music, but I'm positive it will never compare to this classic.
When I was a teenager I listened to this album for the first time with head-phones . . . But, it’s a young rock band was formed in Monterrey Mexico around 2014 by three sisters, and their third album called Error released recently, could be the equal of this album considering their age and contents. @@sheldonleonard1965 it took me a while to think why this hit so bad, and I'm thinking it's because the visuals seem to riff on news footage of Black victims of police brutality and the resulting funerals. But it's done in this way that feels like it's neverending, just this string of deaths and funeral after funeral. I hate that this is what life in the 21st Century so often feels like. And more generally, at some point as you get older, you start to understand that you're just attending funerals hoping you get a good crowd at your own. Not that you'll ever witness it of course.

50th anniversary of this. One of the all times great albums. Just been to see one of the best tribute bands here in the UK. Think Floyd. Superb musicianship. Not in big venues with all the visuals but for about £30, great entertainment As close to hearing Pink Floyd live as you will ever get now

An absolute classic album. Realistically I’m not sure that “remastering” it was really required. An album that celebrates its 50th year. Amazing. I heard it first when I was 10yrs old. A neighbour had just installed a quad sound system and I followed the sounds of Money around the room as it played. Awe inspiring to experience the melding of music and technology to enable an experience that could be felt. A visionary album that still resonates today. People have been born, had children and grandchildren and then died since this was released. Wars, famines, droughts, climate destruction, increasing global poverty and the list goes on. If only we could all be better than we are.

In 1974, our family of four moved to Tucson, Arizona. Every Friday, my parents would drive us towards Gates Pass after stopping at 7-11 to get slurpy's. THIS album played everytime, on 8 track, while we simply went to watch the Arizona sun set. Every week for years, this was the ritual. This album is like drinking water for me. Thanks for this video rendition!

I'm 72 years old and the first night I spent with my husband to be this album played over and over on an 8 track. Thank you for the memories. He's been dead of cancer for 14 years but the memories are soothing. I know he listens. It's better than Let's get drunk and screw; which he played for my parents the first time we had them to dinner! Love you!!!!

@@sheldonleonard1965 it took me a while to think why this hit so bad, and I'm thinking it's because the visuals seem to riff on news footage of Black victims of police brutality and the resulting funerals. But it's done in this way that feels like it's neverending, just this string of deaths and funeral after funeral. I hate that this is what life in the 21st Century so often feels like.
And more generally, at some point as you get older, you start to understand that you're just attending funerals hoping you get a good crowd at your own. Not that you'll ever witness it of course.

I`m 64, I was 15 when I first heard it. It's been my favorite band since then. I love this sound.
So many have fond memories of this classic seventies album. I was 15 when it came out and it was our anthem at the time. Still love it and it’s on my playlist.
The talent of Pink Floyd was or is beyond some of our best. They were true music masters of their time. Most all of their albums were true MASTERPIECE'S of their time.

I'm 71 and this was my all time FAVORITE group. Had babies later than most. My children especially my daughter, born in 88, knows the words to most of Pink Floyd's songs. This album I have continued to enjoy to today. The visuals ARE FABULOUS!!! (acid flashbacks)

50th anniversary of this. One of the all times great albums. Just been to see one of the best tribute bands here in the UK. Think Floyd. Superb musicianship. Not in big venues with all the visuals but for about £30, great entertainment As close to hearing Pink Floyd live as you will ever get now

Greatest album ever recorded when I was 13 in jr high in 78, one of my teachers brought this album to class and played it for us it totally changed my perspective on music he even let me barrow the album so I could record it to a cassette tape needless to say one of my favorites teachers.

An absolute classic album. Realistically I’m not sure that “remastering” it was really required. An album that celebrates its 50th year. Amazing. I heard it first when I was 10yrs old. A neighbour had just installed a quad sound system and I followed the sounds of Money around the room as it played. Awe inspiring to experience the melding of music and technology to enable an experience that could be felt. A visionary album that still resonates today. People have been born, had children and grandchildren and then died since this was released. Wars, famines, droughts, climate destruction, increasing global poverty and the list goes on. If only we could all be better than we are.

My 16 year old grandson asked me,"Who is this pink floyd ?" "A friend told me to check them out." He is a hip hop listener mostly.. I had him bring up darkside , told him to listen to it while we worked (he was helping me do some insulating and drywall), and he had his headphones on.. He was in awe, he jumped at the alarm clocks, he cried a couple of times.. He thanked me over and over.. He was in disbelief of what we grew up on.. ❤
