Thank you for sharing. It's nice to see how other folks do that very first month. I got monetized close to the same time you did, and it just so happened I had a video pop at the same time. I was blown away that my first day was over $90!!!! I finished December (2 weeks monetized) with over $3,400 in AdSense revenue. It's truly crazy what can happen in RUclips land!!!

So cool how honest and open you speak about this topic. In Germany most of the people don't speak about anything including money and especially how much money one another has.
I think it's easier to get to the point where you make money with RUclips if you're English because most of the people from everywhere understand English. But if you're trying to do videos in English while you're from a different country you've got an accent or you're just not good enough. In my opinion many people would not watch these videos because they don't like the way you speak.

It's initially more than I would have thought for your first month. But after watching the video in it's entirety, I'm not surprised. This is an exceptionally well edited video. So, I would think you already had really good engagement prior to being monetized. Hopefully it's grown for you exponentially.

I think it's so cool to earn any amount like this from RUclips, it's super exciting in the beginning! It will be fun to see how this grows and when you make the "what I made in 2021 from RUclips" video 😃 Glad to hear it only took you a couple of days to actually get monetized once you applied. I'm super close to hitting that threshold, about 500 hours away, hopefully, they approve me as quickly as they did you!

Ahh that’s a good point! I checked form Jan 7 through Feb 7- you’re right! The RPM did go down a little bit, but not too much luckily! Will be interesting to see how it changes throughout the rest of the year 😊

It’s cool seeing a small channel do this. All the other videos I’ve seen on this be like “I’ve made 1.2 million last year just on ad sense” and then I go cry because I’m barely at 24 subscribers.

I started my RUclips channel after a co-worker told me he knew someone making thousands off RUclips. Little did I know how hard it would be to get monetized lol (still have a long way to go). Now I just enjoy learning about video editing, and posting random adventures.

Not a bad start at all to just getting monetized. While it may not be much, it is certainly a good starting point. I would attempt to use either all of it or at least 50% of it into the channel. The remainder, I would invest and then do periodic updates on how that is working out.
