It's time to dial in the @fuelwoodwarwick Kindlet 200 so it is ready for mini firewood production. For more on the Kindlet 200 or Kindlet Pro now available through @WolfeRidgeSplitters visit wolferidgemfg....

You should set up the Kindlet 200 for production. It would bring the mini firewood factory to life!
Thanks for sharing this video, Dan! I hadn't heard of the Kindlet 200, so that was fun to watch 👍
Great little splitter!! Once you get your process set up, you'll be in full production!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
What a cool machine! Definitely a time saver👍👍
I can see a Back40 mini wood factory coming in the future. Good job learning the new machine.
That would be pretty cool...remote controlled and a heated lazy boy recliner to kick back in as it runs...hahahaha
Neat set up Dan . We’ve had good luck with our yellow bag material we get from quadel industries . Cut it to length and it fits right over the wolf ridge bagging station . Them red bags sure don’t like being in the sun .
Morning Dan! There is a machine for everything eh? That is a pretty cool unit. And perfect for the Mini's. It should make things much easier for you. Have a good day out there!
Oh yes GP, there is a machine for everything, BUT is there a MAN to run the machine like there is here in the Back 40?!?! 🤣😆🤣
Nice machine!
I had seen the Kindlet on-line, manufacturers style video, now it's nice to see it in use " in the field" showing the input and output processes.
Cool machine. Enjoy.
I've seen those videos as well, the 'in the field' content is fun to make and even with the stops and starts the production of the Kindlet sure beats swinging a hatchet...hahaha
Looks like you got a good process started 👍 Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
So far so good....I always enjoy trying different things when it comes to fine tuning workflows so I'm sure there will be changes made along the way. 👍
Nice video Dan! While it is tying up the tractor, it’ll be interesting to see how much production you get per hour of tractor use.
If we had the lengths closer to that 6 inch sweet spot, they wouldn’t have the tendency to flip around. But, it looks like it’s getting better even with the 5 inch lengths!
Dan,
Suggestion: Try using black bags for your mini firewood. Usually, black colors block UV rays. White does nothing to block and in my telephone career, you never used anything white in the outside plant environment - even if it was sheltered. This is why anyone using white cable ties outside soon see them pop. So it might be worth a try to go to black bags if you can get them (and it could segment mini from other bagged wood).
hi there you will figure it out .i keep alot of kindling in old milk crates ,the sun does not bother them , open sides and stack able. like all processers they only like a spisfac wood . best to all john
Good Morning Dan, It’s the real deal👏🏻Aint’t perks great😂👍🇺🇸
Good morning...is it cooling off down there yet? I might have to fire up the boiler next week up here! 😬 😆
Dan, mid 60’s here this morning, to warm yet to start our boiler👍🇺🇸
Dan, Pretty Soon you will need an I dry, a building and a packaging line. Great video!!!!
Dan,eventually you’ll have it all figured out or dialed in with your mini firewood shop 🤘😮😊❤
We shall see, I'm still trying to figure out regular firewood....hahaha...just kidding! But this machine makes the splitting quick and easy.
Over all the thing work pretty well . I mean every thing has it trouble spots . But that’s a nice unit .
Nice going Dan on that Machine. Leave you Tractor where it is and should be fine. You have it down on your Mini Firewood on how to Seperate it. The Left over Slash can be used in you Fire Pit if you Want. Should keep you
Still Healing up, sore and Brusied, plus a now Large Cut on my Arm from the Saw Kicking Back. Can't seem to stay Well. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
It looks like leaving the board in the kindlet to prevent twisting is the way to go. I also feel that your drying time in the greenhouse is going to be the next bottleneck. To speed that up, it might be an idea to put the wood in baskets or toads, create a secondary greenhous/windtunnel around them with plastic and force air through them with a boxfan (no outside air, just recirculate the preheated air from your greenhouse). That boxfan could probably run from a solar generator for quite some time.
The seasoning/drying might become a bottleneck if I start running green logs, these chunks were split a few months back so they've been pre-seasoning...lol. As long as I can stay somewhat ahead and maybe increase the capacity of what the greenhouse holds.
Is there a larger version for regular sized firewood? 🤔🤔🤔
You could leave the Kindlet in the same orientation as it is now. You'd would just have to clear a path around the rear of the Shelter Logic so that you could place your totes with your rounds on the infeed side.
You have a lot of stuff
Sweet unit…is there a cheaper market for the lesser desirable pieces? 🇺🇸👏🏻
Seems like you have it working best for the situation. My question is. How can it expand on any kind of larger scale?
Looks good. I see a few on top turned sideways maybe if more was on the infeed side it wouldn’t twist. Be cool if they all got split. Peace
Hi Dan As I Was Saying about When I Worked At Mrs Paul's Kitchen I Would Cut and Open Up the frozen Blocks of Fish and it Would go down a Cover Belt on Metal Rollers jig Saw Would Cut the fish in a Triangle 📐 and Smaller Pieces Maybe have a Cover Belt At the end of The Kindlet 200.and Circle The Belt Around you and have The little Boss Man Bag it 👍 I Would leave your Japa Tractor 🚜 right Where it's At you Should be Good 👍
It would work bagging it right off the Kindlet if the chunks going in were already seasoned, which some are, but otherwise if the splits need to season more I wouldn't be able to bag it. I might need to find some big baskets to put the splits in.
Tarp The Tractor 👍
Wait, hold up! You're not stacking that mini firewood in the tent to season it? This has got to be some kind of scientific study on a micro scale-aka “the Great Mini Wood Experiment”-to finally answer the age-old question: Does wood season faster when neatly stacked or just lazily piled into a heap? I mean, sure, one method looks like firewood Tetris, and the other like you're building a squirrel fort, but we need answers here!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Cheers my friend 🍺🍺🍺
Enjoying the videos you share with your Woodhound family 🥰
How soon before you come up with a dedicated power unit to run that thing and free up your tractor?
Bill
When Wolfe Ridge starts mounting Honda engines on them I might see about trying one of those, but for now using the tractor isn't too bad.
👍
Leave the tractor where it is add some hydraulic hose extensions
That could be an option as well. 👍
From what i seen on these machines if the trough is 6 inches thats the size your wood needs to be to optimally split..
That is definitely going to stream line the mini firewood business.. a bit of a learning curve but I think the more you run it the easier it will be
Yes indeed...still have a few things to try as well like full rounds instead of the pre-split chunks. And then if that goes well I'd need to find some small logs...lol
