I have gotten my bar squeezed by trees, but my trees are much smaller, and I have a much smaller place to drop them and not damage anything. The additions to the castle will make it even more like a castle. It's great to see the wood used by the different folks rather than being burned. Have good days!

    I used to burn a lot of brush for an old guy in town when I was in highschool. His secret for getting a good burn was a few pieces of junk metal roofing put on top of the brush pile. It helps hold the heat in and builds a good bed of coals. We would burn tree stumps still in the ground down to nothing.

      @@AndrewCamarata Hi Andrew- long time listener first time caller... it's really impressive to see that you read the comments and occasionally chime in. I'm a long time member of the fbook group too. Just sharing my two cents - I've watched every video you've made for probably the last 5-7 years as they have come out. I've learned a ton. I'm sure you've made a few bucks off the channel, but I get the impression that you really do it because you know you've learned so much over the years and people might both enjoy the content and learn things from you. Thank you for being such a stand up guy and sharing your gifts. I look forward to all your uploads. All the best to you, your fam, and your canine kids.

    Hello andrew
    I have just recently found your channel and I love what I see your an inspiration
    I own and operate a small excavating/ concrete business I saw one of your earlier videos where you mixed concrete in the back of a dumptruck and now I’m planning doing the same for my shop. I’ve been hard at work for the past 14 years building my own business and have always worked for someone else and never really taken time to build my dream house.
    You have inspired me to start building using recycled materials and just make the time for myself
    thank you for the great content keep up the good work

    With all the wild fires this is such a good idea, not to mention keeping the place looking like a park.

    • @janking2762
      @janking2762 3 месяца назад

      This region gets 40+” precipitation annually so wild fires can occur but are not common. Fallen trees etc. decay fairly quickly due to the damp soil and don’t contribute to wild fires as a rule. The heavy shade created by the dense forest canopy also suppresses ground cover plants, so, not much there to burn.

    At 18:51 that tree topples backwards on the skid-steer with some force actually dragging the skid-steer momentarily backwards! It's then wedged in the side of the lifting gear but Andrew gets out, cuts the top off the tree & then, when he cuts it again, at 19:14 the weight of the root-ball levers everything out of the lifting gear. You've got to love the way Andrew sorta looks to camera as if to say 'Yeah, I planned that' - he's what we in the UK call 'jammy'; meaning luck often favours him in an almost comical way.

      I don't think the tree caused the skid steer to go backward (If anything a tree balenced in the bucket, then toppling backward would push forward) I think what we're seeing there is Andrew notices that the tree had run into the overhanging tree, and he put it into reversr to keep it pushing the tree over .. a little too late.
