I had a similar experience of good angel investor and bad angel investor, for some reason I valued the bad angel investor more than the good one and lost a lot of time.

Loved this episode and I’m motivated to get into angel investing just to get the experience. Can you please help with the following?:
    1. As a brand new person to the investment space, can you suggest one book that will ramp me up with the basics of investing? I.e . What do seed rounds really mean, what does a cap table mean etc.? These are disparate concepts in my mind but I need a coherent understanding.
    2. How does one find a club of angel investors in a city (in the U.S.) who will be willing to let new folks join conversations and learn from what’s happening in that world?

      1. Check out this book on Angel Investing .

      2. Check out TiE Silicon Valley or TiE Global. Both have angel groups that are welcoming to new comers.

Great insightful episode! I am looking at angel investing opportunities in Seattle. Any pointers for this geo region? One question - What is the lock in period in angel investing as in do you need to keep investing till the company goes public? Also, if for whatever reasons, things dont work as planned and you want to withdraw your investment how does that work?
