Qualifications to be an Eligible Angel Investor (according to SEBI and Income Tax)
1. Has net tangible assets of at least Rs. 2 crores (excluding the value of his principal residence)
2. Has experience in any of the following forms:
a) early-stage investment experience; or
b) as a serial entrepreneur; or
c) is a senior management professional with 10+ years of experience
3. The Income Tax department also expects such a person to have an average returned income of at least Rs. 25 lakhs in the previous 3 financial years.

I think the eligibility you mentioned are for investments through AIFs. If someone is investing directly (not through any VC platform), does the criteria still remains the same?
