I love this format even more than the guest interviews.

Wow! Thank you for a great initiation ... we have tons of detailed stories too from our friends. For example, we have already waited for over 10 years now in an EB2 queue (Both couples working on high-tech) with no hope of getting one in the coming years.

A friend of mine who works at Amazon told me that focus (PIP) process can be started by manager at any moment. There is little to no prep on the managers' side required.
Another colleague of mine got PIPped from Amazon and had to leave US because they tried to switch my team and hiring manager asked about feedback to current manager. As a result, current manager gave negative feedback and ensured they get into focus. Hiring manager was stupid enough to ask feedback from current manager and rejected them after giving verbal confirmation.
I wasn't aware that one gets PIPed if they try to switch teams and current manager comes to know about it.

Thanks for talking about this! Got my O-1 visa a couple weeks ago and the whole process was extremely stressful (including H1B renewal prior to that). US can do so much better than how things function right now.

Thanks guys for highlighting this issue. Nobody understands this issue unless you’re an Indian. And we’re always put in the same basket as illegal immigration and the issues could not be more different. At this point in time I would be happy if we can just renew our H1b visas in the US instead of having to travel back.

Reminded me of my school days when I was a big WWF fan, ended up watching the last 30 mins of the Wrestle mania, goosebumps when heard the gong❤.

Gr8 initiative, while country cap removal might hv to go thru legislation. Lot of these can be fixed via Executive order by the President like stop counting family members towards GC for the 140k/ yr annual limit. Lot of us hv spent 10 yrs in US and eligible for Social security benefit when we retire but cant file I485 yet, comn'on let us file and get EAD AP atleast!

Can't wait to spend 30 years to get my GC and citizenship and then spend all my money on lawyers and medical bills! My POV is that if you really know who you are and what your values are, half the immigrants would not even be bothered enough to get a GC. Thanks for highlighting the biggest downsides of USA for indians, this needs to be talked about more

I felt really really sad listening to some of the skilled immigration stories :( Nobody ever talks about these issues..

Its really arrogant to ask people to not watch the podcast if they don’t know what llama is when these guys themselves are sitting with laptops having notes taken from media releases about llama . Can we ask them to not blabber about llama when they never implemented a single line of code for llama? Oh wait, they coded two decades back, great!

Why not stay home and build it? Is your plan for your entire countries to empty out and all move to the USA and UK?

India doesn't work, it's dirty corrupt. Builders can't succeed over there.

There are many Indians staying back and building companies. On the other hand, based on the new American economy "Immigrant Share of Entrepreneurs" 40% in CA and 30% in TX are immigrants. I'm sure that Sriram and Aarthi are not having grandiose plans to bring in a billion people. They are talking of people already in the US contributing to the GDP of this country but having their timeline to GreenCards/Citizenship stretched out.

@@alex9n If there aren't limits we'll easily have over a billion from other continents flood into USA. There is unlimited demand. At some point we have to have a conversation about making other countries livable for their people. I don't see a lot of the money being made in the West going to cleanup Asia/Africa/LatAm, I see people buying fancy homes and consumer goods while their kids become fully Americanized/greedy and letting their homelands suffer. Just my 2 cents.
