basically the two ingredients, Duck and green onion goes very well with each other, but to for a duck to come waddling up with an green onion between its wings is not likely to conveniently happen, one could say that its farfetched, which is why the Pokémon is named as such, though in the Pokémon world they are common enough to be eaten and are ironically not farfetched.

In "our" world, all day people haggle with him because he opens the doors they forget their keys to in less than a minute. They hate and are mean to him. In fantasy realm, however, everybody loves him for his abilities and because he opens all the treasure chests!
I’m excited you decided to start this show! It’s the first fictional work in a while to completely absorb me so seeing others experience it is a joy. As you can already tell, aside from cooking and food, this series prides itself on a living breathing fantasy world that includes its own ecosystems and the people that inhabit it. The author, Ryoko Kui, is a major fan of rpgs rooted in the mechanics of dnd like baldur’s gate so there is also a heavy influence from western fantasy works (hence the localization name being a pun) so expect to see all sorts of interesting monsters and pieces of world building. Have fun on your adventure!!

This show has one of the best main groups I've seen in anime in a long time, their group dynamic is absolutely delightful. Also the worldbuilding and level of thought put into a fantasy dungeon ecosystem is spectacular.

Don't know if it matters to you, but those closed caption-style subtitles are a transcription of the dub rather than the original subtitles.
This is true however dub also just has better more accurate translations half the time imo. Personally I prefer it but you could go either way
