Newspaper Plant Pots by Michele Made Me

Create your own simple and eco-friendly seed planting pots using only a pair of scissors, newspaper and a jar. Use black & white newspaper to make the pots as black ink is made of soy and safe to use around edibles. Avoid coloured newspapers as the ink contains some toxins.

Thank you! I used some brown paper sacs I scrounged from our local organic shop, the sort that bulk dry goods come in. I also added a circle of brown paper inside the pot to reinforce the bottom and make sure the compost stayed in as my bases weren't as neat as yours! All the best from sunny Normandie, Sue

Yep, that's the idea. I'm going to slit the sides of my pots to aid in decomposition but yes I will be putting them in the ground to be eaten by worms.

£12.00 + postage saved. I knew that it was quite simple to do but was not quite sure about the bottom .I may leave the bottom unclosed on a few as i'm sure the roots will bind the soil together.
