Create your own simple and eco-friendly seed planting pots using only a pair of scissors, newspaper and a jar. Use black & white newspaper to make the pots as black ink is made of soy and safe to use around edibles. Avoid coloured newspapers as the ink contains some toxins.

Thank you! I used some brown paper sacs I scrounged from our local organic shop, the sort that bulk dry goods come in. I also added a circle of brown paper inside the pot to reinforce the bottom and make sure the compost stayed in as my bases weren't as neat as yours! All the best from sunny Normandie, Sue

DO NOT TRY THIS. I started seeds indoors on paper pots and egg cartons and they both got mold. The paper pots succumbed first and then the egg cartons got it too. Mold is unhealthy and I think it affected my health. I transplanted my seedlings into plastic cups. I suggest you use plastic cups instead.

I started all my seedlings indoors in egg cartons several years ago, I never had a problem with mold. You may have watered them to much.
If u want to try again.. then wud suggest to use fungicide, that will surely help you.
Do you realize how much mold there is in the ground?
