A bathtub of hot water and Epsom salts is kind of a lovely, peaceful way to relax after a hard day. The house is really, really wonderful.

My daughter has a lofted bed, and we used beaded curtains and a sari wrap I found at goodwill for a curtain to create what she called her cave.
I'm with Juliette on that rug. It's pretty fantastic. I'm so excited for you. I know it's alot of work but it's a beautiful home.

That dining room wallpaper is gorgeous, looks like William Morris . I love the wallpaper and color in the babies room. What a lovely home. Old homes are a labor of love and are my personal favorite
' If you really want to test your relationship, buy some wallpaper'. OMG, true statement! About 40 years ago, newly married, first house, I decided to wallpaper our main bathroom. It was a small room, and with both of us in there trying to match the pattern as we hung each strip, fit it all around all the bathroom fixtures etc. Amazing we didn't divorce!!!! I swore I'd never do that again.....and I haven't! Kudos to you for a lovely wallpapered room, especially if you're still speaking to each other, haha.

I had a bad accident a few years ago and having a tub has been a god-send for dealing with my chronic pain from the injuries. I don’t use medication for it but a soak in a hot tub makes all the difference! Before you tear out the tub try living with and using it for a while - you might be surprised! Your house is going to be such a lovely home 💜
This was my experience too. Keep a tub if you can would be my strong recommendation.
If I lived closer ( in FL) I would totally volunteer to work for free unpacking making bottles 😂and my husband would help Andrew. Hes like a bull moose. I know many would do the same. Block the haters and remember how many fans love and appreciate all you share with us. God Bless

Yes master bath shelves need to be replaced with a beautiful antique cabinet with glass doors. Your beautiful "new" home is a show stopper! I love historic homes, and hope you have many years of enjoyment raising your 😇 children there.
Your daughter has Bohemian style. You can bring all those lovely colors together with a solid bedspread. Maybe gold or pick a color out of the rug and use a muted tone of that color. You can also pull those colors together with the curtain for the bed, pillows, some hanging plants. I love the rug too. Also some whimsical art, a mirror with a color frame... so many ways to tame the colors of the rug and still enjoy its flamboyant beauty.

Love your house and the grounds will be beautiful once they are cleaned up. Older homes have more character and ususlly larger rooms. You will love fixing it up and there is so much you can do.
Beautiful home! Have you considered stenciling the back of each step (or every other step) to look like tile in lieu of wallpaper or tile?

In an old house, you cannot expect level floors, square corners, or even walls.
I love colors, especially the guest and baby’s rooms. And I’m with Juliet - her rug rocks.
One word of advice - give yourself some time in the tub. You might love it.

Bright colors can stimulate a baby , I always read not to do bright colors in a nursery. I think your house is perfect for you all. Can't wait to see it decorated.
The portable antenna is a set of cork cutters for test tubes. 😀 I sold a similar one years ago.

For the big rugs all around the house- you can buy a big roll of carpet pad foam at home depot/lowes for ~$20 and cut it to fit under the rugs to give them extra padding! Makes the rugs feel much more expensive and super comfy underfoot (good for homes with hard floors!) My mom learned this trick while working at a home renovation & design company- can do the same with any carpetting, paying for an upgraded pad under a carpet really makes a difference!
I think you should get a glass of wine & a book after the baby is born and take a long, relaxing rest. I love reading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Very funny, easy read.
As far as the gap between the wallpaper and the woodwork, you could take a sample of the paper to a paint store and get some sample pots of paint matched to the paper. Use an artist brush and the appropriate color. May be tedious but well worth the effort. Keep the sheen in mind for the paint.
You can use the extra wall paper to line the drawers also!💖👍

I got a great idea for bird feeders. Hang cracked or damaged vintage china cups in your trees and put bird seed in them. Looks fab.

For Andrew, the tools are called cork borers. Used in chemistry or biology laboratories to make holes in rubber or cork stoppers to fit glass tubing, usually in graduated sizes.

I used to roof, clean that rain gutter asap and sweep that water off first. Will save you thousands in the end. Clogged drains stink. I bought an attachment for my hose that shot out fast water to clean the rain gutters, telescope so you could reach easier. Love your new home!!

If you ever need a straight vertical line for wallpaper just use a plum bob - a piece of string with a weight on the end. Perfect vertical no matter how old your building 😊
Once you start talking a bath you will find it so much more relaxing than a shower. Add some bath oil and or natural lavender or eucalyptus into it. Then set up candles and some music and a bath pillow...you will never want to shower again. I've always bathed in the tub, honestly even if I'm in a hurry. I guess it's because I was raised that way. My husband always showers and cant stand to bath in the tub. It's just a thing I suppose. Wishing you the best girl!!!🌸

You can use a sharpie around the edges of the wallpaper as long as it’s the same color. House looks beautiful!
I have a set of artists pencils that i use. You can usually find a color that is close.
I'm a retired painter, wallpaper hanger. Once a homeowner asked me to fix a strip of Mickey Mouse border in the playroom. After considering splicing a piece in I noticed that they had moved some toys and things in. Looking back in the closet were crayons.
She couldn't believe it and handed me $20
I would use a little matching craft paint.

I'm not a tub person either but your master bathroom tub is exactly like mine and I needed to use it when I got a pinched nerve in my back and the jets were awesome. They gave me great relief so you just might want to keep it for therapy when yours or Andrew's back gets sore from all of the lifting you two do.
I thought the same thing. And, they could add a skylight over the tub for stargazing.

Love your Home, as for the extra wallpaper, fast forward , maybe 5 yrs, and the wonders of Magic markers/ crayons, about 2 feet from the Floor! Store the wallpaper in the back of each closet you are going to need it! The little Picasso, is going to make, the walls Beautiful? LOL
I've put up a lot of wallpaper...Try painting the edges with a watercolor paint that you can blend to match. Little sable brush. I'm not sure about caulk???

Hi, that bell thing you said is a butter lamp stand for Buddhist alters. You melt butter and put a cotton thread inside and light it when the butter settles. It’s a Buddhist thing

Don’t know if you will get round to reading this because of the ‘giant’ list of comments!… but am sending it anyway 😃…On the ‘haul’ at the end….I just wanted to say… that the little wooden egg shaped item that unscrews, maybe a Nutmeg box/keeper …. Looks very similar to other examples I have seen before….???… so very interesting … particularly as Andrew bought the whole ‘Lot’ for the Civil War item 👍👍. Your new home tour was great… a very distinctive place altogether 👌👌… much progress made already… and the ‘grounds’ are brilliant, with that lovely Barn too!!… It is ‘SO YOU’and ANDREW… and the kids will love it so much !!…..Suggest that when the gardener (hope this one does do the work) has cleared the flower beds… that you cover the ground around the plants with a THICK latter of ‘Forest Bark’… that’s what we call it in England…. Made from bark chips…you probably have another name for it??… it is an excellent weed suppressant…. Which will save a lot of effort for you… I use it in my garden … and it works well👍… ask the gardener about it… or he may suggest it anyway….Wishing you safe and well with the birth of your little Girl…and that she is strong and healthy too…. The only opinions that matter on how your home is decorated is yours and your family's. Especially little Juliette with her room. But I personally think her room looks beautiful. And especially love how fabulous that rug is! 😉🥰
The nesting brass tubes are Cork Borers. They are used for chemistry or apothecary glass tubes. 🤓
I would consider taking Juliette’s wallpaper on the alcove wall behind her bed too, now that you have turned the bed.
Your house is fabulous,and you made great decisions ✨ I've had my own painting company for 34 years, and I've hung a lot of wallpaper. I hope you didn't caulk it yet. It might pull your color when wiping the caulk off.What I do in a case like this is I just take a piece of wallpaper to Hobby Lobby, or Michaels and match up the color,and carefully hand paint the white spots. Spot test in an inconspicuous place, and on a piece of white paper to make sure you have the color to match correctly.Then test right above the door frame, where nobody will see it. My sister had someone come in and paint a beautiful stencil on her steps. It wasn’t anything huge, just a simple design and it was really beautiful
I just had to tell you how much I love your guest bedroom that you painted yellow. It's such a pretty shade of yellow too. And the fact that it gets lighter towards the bottom of the wall is something I have never thought of before, but would love to copy if you don't mind. And the colors that the kids picked out are so warm and inviting. The baby's nursery is such a happy color.

I also liked Ashton's blue room - a perfect masculine base color for a nautical, celestial or sports themed room. He must be excited about it if he carried his own carpet up those stairs.

Before you get in that tub, fill it and add some washing machine cleaner and then turn on the jets to clean. You will be glad you did.
