At 16:59 on this video, there are two vegetable serving bowls that you passed up. They are worth $40-$45 each. The pattern is Chelsea Vine by Mikasa. They are at least thirty years old.
I used to shop that location of GW, before I move to Michigan. Lots of good finds.

I absolutely can't stand banging noises like that. Happens alot at thrift stores. Either employee stocking loudly or a rude customer. I have to leave as loud noises really bother me.

I didn’t see the purple glass as a fairy light. I immediately thought it was a glass shade from a ceiling fan/light combo.
It was, I had those at one time.
It was a Home Interior Fairy light shade....there was a base and a votive glass that went into the base I think....been many years since I had it.

Yes it was hurting my ears. Had to turn volume down to tolerate it. Those clinking sounds are magnified when recording. I have hearing aids with Bluetooth audio directly to them from my phone, so have to really lower sound or mute.

Must be another conspiracy - missing Fairy Lamp bottom pieces. I also have found a very nice vintage fairy lamp top at a thrift store, no bottom for it. I found another that the bottom was in one section and the top in another section of local thrift store. I haven't given up hope of finding the one I am missing. Thanks for another fun and informative video.

I grew up with the dead birds on the tree. We had white and red ones also. My favorite one was blue and white. So many memories!

@@roselamanna2317 oh gosh no....they are fake little birds...Dollar Tree even sells some. My mom had Cardinals that had some gold glitter on areas of them and a little clip (alligator clip) to attach to the tree...loved them.

The glass lamp shade at the beginning...that was a Home Interiors Fairy Lamp...it was 2 or 3 pieces to it...but my boys accidentally broke it years ago horsing around. But if you have it as a ceiling fan, I find that strange. Did you buy it like that or was it in your home already? *just thinking someone rigged it up like that*

When I was a kid, my mom also had a box of "dead birds," but they were much smaller and each one was different. I guess she bought them to put on wreaths, floral arrangements, etc? But we kids found the box in the hall closet and took them for ourselves. We'd run around in the back yard with them, pretending the birds were flying, and we made little nests for them out of grass.
