- Using a paperclip as an antenna, I put this DIY method to the test! Try it yourself and see how many channels you can pick up for free! As suggested in the comments, why not try stringing a few paperclips together to see if you can make a makeshift antenna.

Tried this hack for my daughter bedroom TV, it scanned 23 channels, some HD ones. Only 5 or 6 we're absolutely clear, one was a major tv station in our area. I will say that her tv is also a LG tv, will try on a non LG tv and will update on my findings. Thank you so much already saved $30 because of your video. 👍🤗
Damn I wish I would have known, I could have at least saved you $29.90 😭🤣 lol!
Jojo
Ok, I also tried this on my Element TV, a lot fewer channels than the LG, 3 or so. The channels were clear so it was better than nothing at all, and they were major TV stations 😊
Wow thanks so much for this. No ariel socket in hotel room, but your paperclip trick worked a treat.
Thanks from uk.
I tried this trick, and got 1 local channel, high-quality and no glitches. Also it doesn’t electrocute you.
thank you for showing everyone that this can be done and works well for freeeeeeee!!!!!
I live about 20 miles from the closest tower and i got 50 channels. Just from doing the L Paperclip antenna. Pretty darn neat!
You must have a really flat, clear shot! Nice!
I live 26 miles way from the nearest towers
I used to live right down the street from that one dude everybody used to be buddy's with before they wound up meeting their significant other and going their separate ways for whatever reason. I aint gonna tell nobody else tho
Insert a piece of copper wire into your TV and watch channels from anywhere in the world:
ruclips.net/video/t1X1_3sIfsc/видео.html
It worked. Got around 40 channels with perfect reception.
It does work! I can get 40 channels with just a paperclip (I live about 6 miles from the broadcast towers). A few of them are sketchy, they're clear sometimes but bad signal other times, including NBC. BUT I can get 66 clear channels with my $30 "HD Antenna" I bought from Amazon. So a paperclip isn't the best...but it works. Just to be on the safe side I unplugged the TV before inserting and removing the paperclip from the cable port.
Edit: I just attached a wire hanger from my closet to the paperclip and I'm getting 20 more channels, so almost as many as the $30 antenna, lol. But some of the channels are still a little clearer with the $30 antenna.
I wouldn't have thought of that. Try putting some foil on the end of it to see if it gets better. I didn't have any paperclips but I do crochet so I used a needle and added foil to the end and I got 21 channels 🤯
Glad ,the coat hanger trick worked.I tried ,it with my regular antenna.Sometimes,it make it worse for me.
I shifted and will take 1-2 months to get proper cable installed will try till then.
You can use any wire for even more channels.
Great and excellent...ty
For my tv the antenna jacks hole is bigger then the paper clip so the paper clip does not stay in goodly
super cool 😎
I am trying on the LG nanocell79 but no channels????
Big up man
Anybodu know if this works in the UK?
I did this on the same brand tv and got 2 stations. A nasa channel and some sort of french news station
Can't find any channels with a coax cable so I tried this. It did find 12 channels but no sound and screen is black 🤔
Does this trick work only in the USA ? Cuz wont work where I am.
I used a piece foil over where the athena have to go and it worked
Worked perfectly for me. I wonder if it would make a difference if I used more clips to extend it
Yes! Now you are thinking in the right direction.....build it to the moon!
Oh it does just tried it though I was never gonna fix it till I saw this comment thank you!
This is so funny!!!
Did you watch Tyler the antenna man do it?
Recorded horizontally:)
Will this work in India?
Doesnt work for me and im 10 miles away.
You’re getting another subscriber from this. I’ll try it out, and check back.
Whoa you got 5-1 like me!
Is that all local stations?
I am not sure, probably not every one of them....
I didn't get any channels.
POV: living in 2022 and think why people only have 20 channels when I have over 500 channels
Wow.What?That many?Do you have cable or satellite,maybe?
You are a fucking life saver...oh my god...
Ok for people who have a really old one it’s called auto stir not auto tune and it asks for pin, the default is 0000 thank me later
GOD♡BLESS

I tried this and I get 52 channels.
I believe that is new record!
@@NKYDIY Great. I just tried it again on my sons tv and he also gets 52 channels..
With my digital antenna I get 54 channels. With the paper clip I get 52 channels. I am no longer buying Antennas. I will use a paper and save that money..
Just do it like the video showed you then scan for channels….easy peasy.
@@shirleyjanz2166 I did do it like the video showed.
0 channels found
I only got 4 channels :-(
4 free channels yo from a paperclip!
:(
I got four channel too😖
@@jadesramirez4870 it depends where the broadcast towers are at, if there above 20 miles you probably wont catch the channels or they would be very glitchy.
@@zilla6448 Exactly.I am too far,as least about 50 miles from the broadcasting towers,so I do not waste my time ,with this. However,it does work for some persons,if they are close, enough.
ca take the paper clip out
it did not work
Sorry, maybe you are too far from your broadcasting towers.Heard,it sometimes work.Probably, need a regular antenna.Still, cheaper than cable or antenna.Have never ever tried this,as I am too far from the broadcasting towers.
ideate
What
polska działa
Lol 😂yo
BLASTING idea
Nothing. I got nothing.
I am sorry to hear that! Are you near other electronics?
Is it because obstacles are blocking the paper clip attena
I only got 4 or 3 digital channels and only 2 in analogue
I actually use a sony tv
i dont have signals too
Nothing in pethetic South African 🤣🤣🤣
Try a fork
Coax cord then cut the other half and use a fork
@@user-pe2eo5dv8ino no no, put a fork in the outlet, that’l do the trick! (Don’t do this!!!)
Got electrocuted don’t recommend
Well, unplug the tv first!
Are u fools paper clip is free anywhere or a piece of ord wire
Too cheap to pay for cable 🤣🤦🏿♂️

Or, too smart to pay for cable! 🙃
