I did this, and then went to my local lending library. I held another piece of wire in my left hand, and a dvd or a book in the right. When I got home, I found that I had overloaded the circuitry in my TV, so had to go back to the library and borrow a paperback. So definitely my life has improved.
Maybe it works in cities or overseas but not in rural area in south africa or let me know how

When I was a kid I used to do a coat hanger Ariel and it worked pretty fine. But of course limited free channels.

Just put a paper clip in the over the air antenna slot. You will receive over the air TV channels.

Du bist so genial. Ich "genieße" deine Tipps immer.
Der 1. und der letzte Tip habe ich auch schon gemacht. Das war Ende '80 (1980) Anfang '90er (1990) Jahre. Nun bin ich froh zu sehen, dass ich damals alles richtig machte. 😄 Nur mit Schleifpapier die Kabel angeraut, habe ich nicht. Es funktionierte aber dennoch prima.
Die Idee mit der Spirale als Antenne ist auch super. Habe nämlich im Bad ein Radio ohne Antenne und nur ein Metallkabel gerade hoch zur Decke gelegt. Also ohne Windungen. Es funktioniert nur begrenzt. Ich denke mir, dass ich mit deiner Idee einen besseren Empfang haben werde.

Most folks in the 80's just jammed a metal hanger into the spot where the coax cable goes into. It's the same thing, and it only takes about 2 minutes. Sometimes you may need to have your kid stand there and hold it for awhile during a football game, but that's why we have kids....

Worldwide 😂. I live a mile from my local transmitter and can't even get a signal from an indoor aerial. Love to see them get signal from US. The transmitter name is Whitehawk Hill, uk
it can catch local TV channels around you. Note that you should hang it high to achieve the best effect

Here in eastern Canada we have only 2 air channels, with this method receive many more?
Also could this be used for a UHF VHF HAM radio as long as it has the same input attachment?

Don't believe it, until you've tried it. Seen a similar video for free Internet connection. I tried it, it turned out to be misleading. Many do this just for the view numbers

@@creationholic101 as in outside, structure free, where reception is typically better, yeah all that would do is bring in local TV stations, would not be any different than having a TV aerial, kind that people have on the roofs of their houses, mega mansion it's a cool design but that's where it ends

I did this and plugged into the back of the TV and now I have a bruised head. I fell off the books I was standing on trying to get a signal.
