Yeah, about this. Sim cards are used to authenticate phones to the cellular network. NOT for tv. For tv that would need a smart card which are mostly used for satellite tv in the USA or for USA cable tv a m-card aka a cable card or a cable box with a cable card in it. For ota tv aka antenna tv, if you are near a city or a tv station's broadcast tower, a simple unfolded and bare paper clip would work as an antenna.

Fake. The Sim card has a chip inside. All chips need power and ground in addition to Input/output. You can count the gold pads to see how many this Sim card can be using depending on application.

Hello . In the video I use a used sim, it doesn't require any monthly fees.
Due to the nature of actual SIM cards I don't believe there is the slightest possibility this would work. Especially after most people trying it will either lift the gold pad from the card by applying too much heat for too long or bridging solder between the pads.

The actual reason that this could work is because antennas are basically just metal wires. Just like a coathanger antenna or a paperclip antenna would work

Some Note: The sim card I use is a broken SIM card, you don't have to pay any fees and the video I'm making on the 3rd floor of my house, it gives great results, the antenna captures a lot channels with sharp and stable quality, but with the 2nd floor, the number of channels captured is less, and not as stable. With the 1st floor, it is more difficult, I have to take the antenna outdoors and hang it up high. It just works. Please follow the steps I have shared, I wish you success.
