Hey, hell yeah, that's totally a thing. When the whole album has a theme, usually telling a coherent narrative like you mentioned here, like it's an audio movie, it's called a "concept album". I'm not trying to be a smartass. Some other concept albums include "Antichrist Superstar" by Marilyn Manson, and "Cruelty and the Beast" by Cradle of Filth. Check THAT shit out, if you haven't already.

THANK YOU! It's really satisfying to hear someone who is actually well versed in musictheory etc. to praise this bands skill. All of them are so good! I mean just look at the insane rhythms the drummer has to play. It takes a lot of training and muscle to play the double base for 7+ minutes (let alone for a whole show). Same with the guitars and bass. You can see how concentrated they play those sweeps etc. And their singer is just amazing as well. I can hardly fathom how much practice and time must have gone into this. Absolutely amazing!

Rebecca, thank you so, SO much for voicing out loud the level of talent required to play this type of music. You do have to be a bit of an athlete, especially vocally, to make it work. Metal in general has never gotten the full acknowledgement in that arena, and it is very much appreciated when someone of your obvious talent and experience gives it a go like this. I love that you can sense the energy in the songs and not just dismiss it as noise :)

So I would love seeing you react to Jeup. He has an impressively high voice and special tone to it. He is a vocalist from a group called Imfact. I would strongly suggest either
I Promise You (an OST for a drama that he sung)
    Or
Love, ing (which is not his song but originally by a female kpop singer which he covered, there is only a korean caption on the video so don‘t be irritated)
Hope you see this comment. He is truly amazing and I wish he got some more attention.

Great reaction as always, you have a metal soul hiding and waiting to headbang jaja. You should check their song Tonight we Ride to see more of her vocal range, she is amazing, her voice is like a valkirie riding to war XD. Happy New Year, i wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for doing Awakening. It was a year and a half ago or so when I saw it for the first time...fell in love with it instantly and watched it a lot. This band is really good but I like this one the best because it shows the band playing. A lot of their vids have a lot of theatric acting and I'm not as into that. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did the first time I saw it...it's amazing! Now I'm going to watch it.

I’ve said it before, but I just adore the range of genres and artists you choose to view, especially if it’s someone with whom I’m not familiar. I’m totally downloading this thanks to your analysis. I also wanted to pass on a funny thing that happened last weekend. My wife and I were looking after our two and a half year old niece, and as troublemaker toddlers are wont to do, she stole my iPad and opened RUclips. I happened to have been watching your first Dimash reaction because it always makes me smile, and my niece pressed play. We then spent the next hour or so watching “the pretty lady with the sparkly room talk ‘bout singing.” I owe you a lifetime supply of green tea for that one, because though she be small, she be a hurricane, leaving exhaustion and a necessary margarita for auntie in her wake. As always, you rock!

If you allow me to make but one suggestion, it would be, for you react to: Nightwish Sleeping Sun, there are 3 versions, one with Tarja singing, one with Anette siging and the Last with Floor singing it, it's... a live expeirience of all the 3 sopranos from Nightwish performing it in their own way, the same song sung differently but yet, it's still the same song ,that make me marvel upon how a single song can and did changed my life for better.

Well, the internal shape of the mouth has a small part to do with some of the sound that a vocalist can make. Teeth are part of the shape. And, having bad teeth myself, I can attest that there is even a certain amount of extra vibration that may occur (most likely unwanted when attempting to attain a pure single-note sound). Brit's dental hygiene is SO VERY IMPORTANT to her abilities! :)
