A whole bunch of Nightwish fans will be suggesting so many more songs to you! So glad you reacted to this. Their songs are always top notch. After this people tend to react to Nightwish - The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley
Now that you have opened the Nightwish door...prepare to be bombarded with requests, so I might as well chime in...Nightwish- Poet and the Pendulum Live at Wembley 2016
I don't think so. Ms Tara Simon seems to know her stuff well. Even nothing that the music sounds it could be for a movie. Tuomas do love to listen to movie soundtracks by Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer. And in an interview, when asked about singers, he also mentioned Celine Dion - because of her technique. And she is right about Jukka being a good drummer keeping it just so. From her reactions, while she noted on Floor's technique as good, no mention about her voice's timbre and tone, about Floor's diction, intonation and phrasing. I frankly think Floor's techniques is risky. But, hey, she's a vocal coach before. Maybe she shows what she is doing.
1:being a vocal teacher yourself doesn't make you immune to mistakes. Psychologists can be crazy bitches themselves as well. Although her technique indeed is pristine and highly proficient, no question. I'd give a lot for a few sessions with her advise. 2: saying she's got an opera background is misleading. she had some rather basic classical training, but nothing very extensive. It enables her to access immense dramatic effect. But she truly reigns in contemporary singing. The whole package is outstanding.
She is also a giant woman (1.83 meters for a minute, if im not wrong, and a huge chest). It helps her to nail classic Nightwish songs so easily (more volume-more sound-more space to work).
Floor dropped another bomb in a dutch program called Beste zanger van Nederland. She did a duet Phantom of the opera score, and hits a few notes that are only for the greats among us...
I had the absolute privilege of seeing them live twice. They are amazing, incredible, wonderful. I cried many times. I also got to meet them which was a mind blowing experience. They are truly incredible.
Tara, one of the things that is not mentioned very often is that this is a 15 song set and this performance was song number 13 in the set. Thus, she is doing all of those wonderful technical things, such as breath control, etc, after about an hour of performing. Now not all of Nightwish's songs are this long, but there are a lot of them that are similar in the amount of effort that Floor and the band have to put out on stage. The whole band is just amazing.
NIGHTWISH is Spectacular live! This was about an hour and a half into this concert! The Wacken 2013 show was impeccable in its entirety. You should react to more Nightwish live... I would recommend The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembely 2015. It is a absolute musical masterpiece and it showcases Floor's diverse vocal talents.
People go 'round and 'round about which recording is best, but I come down on the Buenos Aires show the previous year. When she hits *THAT* note in Ghost Love Score it's like slamming at high speed into a block wall made entirely of awesomeness. 😀 Time, space, and sound all converge and it's like nothing I've ever heard.
i was there in wacken back in the days. there were 83k people listening to the band. i cannot describe the atmosphere closely to what it was like. i literally had goosebumps from head to toe. It was such a unbelievable experience. everyone should have seen this band live. its almost like a movie that covers every single deep feeling you carry in your heart. Thx for that great reaction!
@Tara, WOW it took you a while to get here, but *so glad* you did! Hehehe, watch out....you're about to be bombarded with requests from the Nightwish family. I'm looking forward to it!!!!
I love it when someone gets introduced to Nightwish. Floor is such a badass, probably the only person on the planet who could have been a true successor to Tarja.
@@Harolddespui I have heard Floor singing operas before. She is extremly good with that and in general easily one of the best singers in the world. But when it comes to opera she is not as good as Tarja. Maybe it is because Tarja is a trained operatic singer and floor is not.
@@Delibro Lots of other voice coaches presses space and switches into speech mode. Then presses space again to return to listen mode. They tend to catch more details by being 100% focused on listening. And we too enjoy it better to not have the talk overlaying the music.
Floor is a goddess. Before the release of their last album, this was her favorite Nightwish song. She was performing her favorite song at the largest metal festival in the world--and she bleeding NAILED it. You need to check out "Greatest Show on Earth" by Nightwish. It's her best vocal performance to date (in my opinion). I've seen them live thrice, and it's spiritual.
The recording of this song from Buenos Aires in 2012 is astonishing. She'd only just joined the band full-time and people were clearly uncertain about the new singer, but by the end of this song she OWNED Argentina. :D The crowd's on their feet chanting "Floor! Floor! Floor! Floor!" One of the most magnificent vocal moments in rock.
I NEVER CLICKED LIKE BUTTON FASTER AND HARDER, BEFORE EVEN WATCHING THE VIDEO! I'm so happy you finally reacted to metal goddess Floor Jansen and I'm so happy you loved the complete band, since you mostly react on pop artists. The amazing fact is that Floor was singing very vocally demanding songs for an hour already, before singing Ghost love score and she doesn't even sound tired a bit. That's how great her technique is and her stage presence is awesome, she was totally commanding that crowd with her magic! The highest note she's hitting in the song fans named "Floorgasm"! :D Thank you for reacting!
Floor is pathetic if we compare her with Taria. Try listening the same songs and you will hear the difference, Floor's voice is much weaker. There is only one Valkyrie.
@@1Predatel1 You've noticed that except for yourself, no one here in dozens of comments has made any kind of comparison between Floor and Tarja. If you do not like it, do not see it, simple. Even if I prefer Floor to Tarja or Anette, that does not give me the right to insult them. I tell you, Tarja's voice was the reason I became a Nightwish fan, and when she left, I moved away from them for a few years. Until I hear Floor ... As many say, she is a Goddess, she is simply the meeting of the best vocal attributes of Tarja, along with Anette, with the bonus of rock voice she as. And therefore, she has an improved singing technique, and her presence on stage is sublime, the audience gets mesmerized. But this is just my opinion and personal taste, I will not go around saying that the others are pathetic. It is a matter of RESPECT.
@@Juvahh Sorry I misspoke (Quarentime life n I was abit high) I meant previous singer "Tarja Turunen" the first female singer on Nightwish. I personally prefer Floor but Nemo still my favor song by them n Tarja n her Phantom of the Opera was fantastic. I saw them in cousert when Tarja was there singer n I was the greats saw I have ever gone to.
Nicolas Cardillo Hahaha that’s alright. I was already thinking “did they replace Floor too? Please nooo!”, lol. I used to like Tarja a lot (been in 2 Nightwish concerts myself and loved them, both with Tarja), but while I didn’t get to like Anette so much, I’m really enjoying Floor singing. I didn’t see Anette live, but I absolutely gotta see NW again now with Floor. It seems to me that she’s a more versatile singer than Tarja was... she was awesome, but more focused on the “operatic” part. Anyways, Nightwish always was and is a fabulous band with exceptional live performances. Let’s hope we get the chance to keep watching them live many times!
@Talsong Kingslayer I'm sorry but that's not true, Floor is a lot better than Tarja, maybe not in opera style, but Floor can do whatever she wants, but Tarja can just sing opera, that's all. Nightwish is free now to do whatever they want, wich is great because the band have a lot more to offer that just the type of music that they used to do. Also you can watch an interview to Troy, he said that Floor can sing anything, wich is not the case for Tarja, so yeah Floor is a lot better singer than Tarja.
@@daddycool4047 if you wanna call it 'what reactions will make me popular 101' I dont think tool needs to be in the list. Just the 1st 3. But Nightwish - Gls always leads on to Poet and the Pendulum, Romanticide, Greatest show etc ...
Now you have done it. Soo great. Floorgasms to all. Nice Reaction. This Concert was recorded at the Wacken Open Air 2013 in front of 82000 People. Floor Jansen the Queen of Symphonic Metal!!! Thanks for the Reaction!! Greets Paddy
@@ravendarklawgaming197 I love Floor, but would never diss Tarja's voice. Her pure classical head voice is in a league of its own, even if Floor is more versatile and has much better vowel pronunciation for English lyrics.
Well, Floor has a bachelors' degree in performance arts (Rock academy), so she definitely knows how to sing. She's also inherently talented and best thing to ever come out of my country that's not sports (Floor ranks higher though, it's a shame so very few Dutch people know of her).
Now that you've heard Floor sing let me suggest "Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show" and you can enjoy more Floor and discover Simone Simons ethereal voice at the same time.
Nightwish has had multiple very different sounding vocalists during their very successful career (Tarja Turunen & Anette Olzon. Also their bass player Marco Hietala has a killer voice and features on some songs). If you feel like it, it might be fun to try and analyze some side-to-side comparisons of different singers doing the same songs live, and commenting on their technical differences!
Honestly, nightwish are the most talented band of the last 20 years, but still dont have the recognition they deserve. They have album after album of incredibly delicate yet extremely technical anthems
It sure is. I almost came when I first heard it in 5.1 DTS format. Absolutely transcendental experience. Of course with the original Tarja's vocals. I like Anette and Floor, but they can't outperform her in that song.
@@Holtijaar OH, yeah, I agree. Tarja is a metahuman, half siren half woman, but I really love the epic end Floor made in the shows as a golden finishing to an amazing book.
Ohh MYYYY!!!!!! Finally you did it! :) I've always loved all (old and new) Nightwish songs, but... I couldn't even imagine, Floor Jansen was such a good technical singer. Now, as you have pointed out all the details and put the dots over "i"s, Nightwish has dramatically risen in my eyes! Thank you very much!
My marching band did a Nightwish set for my sophomore year. We did “Sahara”, “Islander”, “Escapist”(Concert addition only), and “Moondance”. We NEVER lost a single competition during that set.
Lucario007 how is that possible? The Islander, Sahara and Escapist are all dark passion play era songs. In 2004 Once was released, Tarja was still the singer and none of those three songs were written.
Thank you, Tara, Thank you. I've been waiting for this since I started getting into vocal coach reaction videos. I love how you point things out. It comes off as the most professional, yet entertaining vocal coach reaction video. I really enjoyed your reaction to Nightwish. I hope you react to more in the future.
I saw Nightwish in concert last year and it was THE BEST concert I've ever been to. I even got to meet them. They are so cool and were very nice to me. I was shaking and nervous but they made me feel very welcome. Seeing them in concert and meeting them was number 1 on my bucket list.
I can't understand how you can listen to her singing that chorus and talk and think about technique instead of just getting goose bumps and feel like flying in another dimension
*insert Ann Waychoff'* Welcome to the Nightwish Nation! The band has been around since 1996 and pioneered the Symphonic Metal genre. The band was created by the keyboardist and composer, Tuomas Holopainen, who writes 95% of the music and lyrics, with the others being Marco (bassist). The singer is Floor Jansen, a legend in the metal world. The last note she hits is what we call a Floorgasm. This song is a sweeping epic love song with truly poetic lyrics. There is SO MUCH to this band that you'd appreciate if you react to more of their videos. Most people are going to try and sway you towarsd "Poet and the Pendulum", but I recommend you check out "Story Time" or "Romanticide" both from this show Wacken 2013. You'll be even MORE amazed at what Floor can do on those songs. She is also capable of growls (see "Yours Is An Empty Hope" official live video).
@Adam Blackstone "The band was created by the keyboardist and composer, Tuomas Holopainen" But What about Tarja Turunen and Emppu Vuorinen? They're all co-founders!
Tuomas had the idea in his mind already and then asked Jukka and Emppu who were on board. Then asked Tarja. They all make up the band but he started it and it is following his vision / direction but with consideration of the other members input of course.
ferretmom66 Yeah, but Troy, who plays pipes for them, is an official band member. So her statement is still accurate; maybe she spotted Troy at the back of the stage early on, even though he wasn’t a part of this song? She certainly seems to have done some research on the band prior to watching the video.
@@DarkJediPrincess I think there's a bit of Troy's work around 7:20. There is actually a great example of the Uilleann pipes in a different song during this concert: Last of the Wilds.
If you love this line-up then watch any live recording from 2013 onward (actually she jointed them right in the middle of their American part of their worldtour in 2012). they have had 3 vocalist 1 Tarja (mainly operatic she was with them until 2005 a very good vocalist) and Anette Olzon (very average singer with a rather disappointing live voice IMHO). Futhermore Floor had been the lead vocalist of "After Forever" and "Revamp" before she jointed them. This is were the band knew her from because she had been on tour with them as part of the support band and had become close friends. Both of her previous bands are also worth a look.
welcome to Nightwish fandom. i highly recommend to watch the entire show of Wacken live from 2013 where this song is from ruclips.net/video/nIsbXJ81SK0/видео.html
You're going to absolutely love this video when you watch it again and don't talk over all of her amazing singing! You're going to be mind blown! It's going to be wonderful!
The commentary tended to smother much of the singing. Sadly. Perhaps watch it first, make notes and THEN talk about it at the end ! I stopped watching this review after 6 minutes .
She is awful...she watched Grammy award winner Yebba's amazing performance of My Mind, and felt the need to diss the way she was dressed. Me thinks she likes herself a WHOLE bunch...
Great video. Love your facial expression at 9:49 when she hits her note. The word "Floorgasm" is often used when describing her vocals, and now you know why :)
You’ve gotta react to to Floor Jansen on Beste Zangers. She sang Vilja Leid (sp?) the first week and Mama the 2nd week which was this past Saturday. Its a dutch show and theirs 6 dutch singers and every week the other 5 sing a song from the other singers’ , that they are honoring in this group, musical history. They’re all very good. But Floor absolutely kills everything...as usual. Week 1 they honored Henk Poort who is an opera/operetta/musicals dutch singer. And this past week it was Samantha (cant spell her last name) she’s a dutch folk music singer. But yeah. Please!!!?!
What society dictates Blows ah but are you a drummer in a high profile band though? You know it’s like a top sport don’t you? I have insomnia too and if I’m not taking sleeping pills, I’m tired of sleep deprivation and if I do take them I’m groggy and hungover. Don’t know which feeling is worse. Sometimes walking the stairs even takes my breath away. So yeah I do believe he had to quit his job due to insomnia. God knows he’s not the only one. But if you’re not having any troubles, care to elaborate on your secret? I’m sure we insomniacs are dying to know this miracle solution
This was when Tarja Turunen was still with the Nightwish. so slightly different vocals. I forgot the had a new lead. Tarja also has some amazing song that she did on her own as well. Very worth the listen.
@Jorge Conceição Yes, she does. But it's not the same. Not that its bad, but clearly Phantom of the Opera is owned by Tarja. Just like with Ghost Love Score, Tarja sung it, but Floor's version is what its known for.
I love that you noticed how hard Jukka was working! He's a really talented drummer. He had to step away from playing on tour with the band because of his health, but his replacement is also really great! Every song from Nightwish is very different, I'd love to hear your take on more from them! I think you'll really be interested in The Islander - Live from Tempere. The Bassist, Marco, sings!
Jukka is a very talented drummer and definitely a showman, but his replacement - Kai Hahto - is one of the best drummers in the world, and Nightwish couldn't have gotten a better man for the job.
Thank you for doing this one! This concert is just legendary. 82,000 people and they just put a killer song after another, amazing. Floor was just joined the band 6 months ago at the middle of the US tour, but she didn't show any insecurities at all. Bass player Marco is also great singer, if you do more Nightwish you need to hear him :D So, 'Ghost River' from this same concert, or 'Phantom of the Opera' with original lead singer Tarja Turunen.
Well thats because she is, objectively, one of the greatest singers alive right now. If you watch Best Zangers you will see that all the professionals singers there, even the legend that is Hank Poort, were absolutly impressed by her.
@@realeyesrealizereallies1176 it comes down to personal taste I guess, she didn't say they sung badly just that she preferred the more classical approach from the musical, she was very complimentary of Ghost Love Score. I think it was Opera singer reviews or something like that.
Just saw Linor Oren on the Beste Zangers duet with Henk Poort and Phantom of the Opera. She was not that impressed, but I think mostly irritated since she was expecting the original Andrew Lloyd Webber composition.
Listen to some of Epica! Simone Simons is a great singer too and even has duos with Floor Jansen (Sancta Terra live is fantasitc!). Try Essence of Silence (official live video), The Obsessive Devotion (official live video), The Phantom Agony (Retrospect) or Chasing the Dragon (Retrospect). Pregnant in a few of those and still killing it. And lastly Consign to Oblivion live at the Zenith for mindblowing showmanship. PS: Isn't symphonic metal the awesomest thing ever? Yes. Yes it is. It's the best mix ever.
@@TontoEpstein You are wrong. Yes, some backing choirs and symphonic parts are played from backing track. But not as much as you think. Tuomas has fancy keyboard and if you focus on him, a lot of symphonic parts (especially strings) are played by him. I maybe looks like his keyboard can't be heard, but it is not true. He is playing a lot of backing symphonic parts. Only it is not so obvious...
@@FadedLightBluePink I'm not "wrong." If you want to hear how they'd really sound without the ridiculous amount of backing tracks, then find the videos of them on their 2004 American club tour, and then compare it to their last show in Finland in 2005 that was recorded for video and reeked of prerecorded backing tracks.
@@TontoEpstein the main reason is that touring with a full orchestra and choir is logistically difficult and expensive. They only seek to make the live performance sound as faithful as possible to the studio recording. Covering all bases imo. No worse than rap/hip hop "artists" shamelessly stealing outright and sampling music from others to create their own worthless hits and making gazillions. At least Nightwish are really talented musicians. And this is a pretty gloriously epic performance.
@@rickleblanc8900 Why are you comparing them to rap artists, that's a concert joke, tool They don't need to pay a full orchestra, they need to play live with whatever they've got. If they can't do that, then don't tour.
I guess you delivered my favorite reaction to this epic track. Not only did you give technical explanations regarding Floor performance, but you also captured the show details, the band alchemy and the professionalism that lays behind. Great job!
Wacken!!! the biggest Music (Metal) Festival in Germany, and one of the biggest in Europe. 85 000 People, sold out in round about 30 minutes every year
Great video. I loved that you were so into it. If I may offer a bit of friendly criticism: From a viewer’s point of view, I felt that there could have been less talking/narrating during the song’s performance. I felt that there were times when you either missed, or near missed key moments. I agree with keeping the comments to a minimum and mostly vocal based and save the in-depth commentary for the instrumental sections. Just a thought.
@@rickleblanc8900 Agreed, not sure how she can judge a song that she constantly talks over. I like the british vocal coach better, she doesn't talk as much and also pauses to say things.
@@rickleblanc8900 Maybe it's because she is a vocal coach and tries to explain to people how Floor's voice and performance works? Cut her some slack, she is great at explaining and I love the fact that she comments on things in more detail.
Wow Tara, I love how you interacted during the song. this was on a different level, I just don't know what to say, and I'm not even aware of the song. you're definitely the queen of music, and song, and feelings, and emotions, thank you girl, hugs..
jim Someone needs to slide into Nightwish. Their current singer is my favourite singer of all time. (Yes, I love her more than Dimash and Morissette.) This band is phenomenal live, and their studio is okay, but live is where it’s at.
Yeah, people exclude music based on pre assumptions.. Someone heard a death metal tune in passing and thinks all Heavy Metal sounds the same. Nice though that some, at least, gets the wake up call and an opportunity to enjoy something new to them.
Chill dudes. Metal is good for those who love it. I would never listen to any metal were it not for Tarja. Don't care much for Simone or Sharon and their bands. They sound like girls with sweet voices singing pretty songs compared to Tarja, a woman with great timbre and tone who really made Nightwish sounds majestic and soulful. Without Tarja, Nightwish sounds like a technically good band playing bombastic and over wrought music. Still good. But no "magic" and distinctiveness as a symphonic metal band.
@@Tarasimonstudios As i already said before in another coments... Love your reactions and lessons... But I don't undestand why you did not made more videos of NW and Floor. I wait for, I don't know, 6 mounths and did not see anymore videos of this guys... Please give us this gifts...
@@catherinegoulet4263 After Forever was great, I used to listen to Energize Me all the time. So glad Nightwish managed to bring her on board after Annette left.
I gotta say this is the very first time I listen to this song. And I felt like cry emotional during it. Man, what is that. Soul-melting singing/instrumental
She taught for years, sang professionally with success for over 20 years, and is a vocal coach during her downtime. So yeah, she's both technical and emotional.
Her: "I'm probably gonna try to talk over some instrumentals, *if there are any in here*..." Me: That's obviously her first Nightwish Song - and there's a lot of talking ahead 😂.
Charming, soft, homely and incredible pressure. A very diverse singer, which can be a good idea to combine different techniques and style of performance. This modern trend has been going on for a dozen years. When rock or pop are performed by symphonic orchestras or classical works are performed by rock groups, when folk songs are combined with modern electronic music sometimes it turns out very unusual and beautiful. It enriches world culture.
YYYYEEEEESSSSSSS! I knew you'd have a lot to dig into on this performance. Floor Jansen is an amazingly talented singer and that entire concert was killer between her and the musicians in the band. As other people are saying, when you come back to Nightwish, please please please react to The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley. Its another one of their epic, symphonic songs that's packed with amazing musicianship, singing and emotion. That or I'd love to hear you react to Lisa Fischer - "How Can I Ease The Pain" ( Live )
People who don't play themselves might think that it's easier to play with a backing track, but actually it takes a whole another level of musicianship to pull it off. You can't fail even once or everyone and their grandmother will notice it. Especially the drummer, he keeps the group together or not.
Great video and yes the Dutch dynamo and Valkyrie Goddess, Floor Jansen is amazing but thank you for the shout out to the band. This group of Nightwish musicians had been together about 13 years and it shows. They know each other and trust one another and you are right who wouldn't want to have them behind them. At the same time you better be an awesome singer, especially LIVE, (the only way to really appreciate this band), in order to be heard over that symphonic metal score being played behind you. You did an excellent job of analysis which we all knew is coming and that is why you were bugged so much. NW fans are fanatical but we also know a great reviewer so we will push hard to get that review we want!! Well worth the wait for both parties, you finally got to hear an awesome band and song and we got a great review, so thank you!!
YAASS finally! I’ve been waiting a year for this! Welcome to the world of symphonic metal. Nightwish is one of the biggest of the sub genre and they’re a live band, mostly. Their live is better than the studio. I would highly recommend The Poet and the Pendulum Live at Wembley, it’s a longer but is phenomenal.

Other songs that are also amazing are Romanticide, Ever Dream, Song of Myself, While Your Lips are Still Red, Storytime, I Want My Tears Back, and of course - Phantom of the Opera... I mean, you can pick any of them and not go wrong so... Please and thank you?! :D
So far my favourite "Vocal Coach reacts to Ghost Love Score". Not only analyzing Floors voice, but also watching the bigger scope, the audience, the other parts of the band. Finally something to like in these sad react-times.
I've been a lifelong fan of Nightwish, their music holds so much importance to me that I don't have the words to decently describe it. Ghost Love Score is one of the most important to me because of the emotion it holds and the memories it is attached to from such a bad time in my life. I've seen a few 'vocal coach reacts' videos lately where they tear into the artist and I clicked here a little scared there would be a negative reaction but I'm so so pleased that wasn't the case. Tarja will always hold the top spot for me, especially with this song but Floor absolutely nailed it and with a big passion. I know this is a pointless ramble, I guess I just wanted to say how good it is to hear someone praise something so important to me. I hope you can find time to go over other tracks from Nightwish, they've always been so wonderful.

I'd say Floor IS a Wonder Woman... of metal :)
Classical music was metal before metal.

That was a 13th song out of a 15 song set. Still strong
AWESOME!!
Slowly, surely, another vocal trainer is being lured into the beauty of Metal.
Muahahahahahahaha
SHE WILL BECOME ONE OF US
The greater good...
Seems like she was down with it to begin with to me.
Floor is a vocal coach/teacher herself, so she knows exactly what she's doing.
Plus ,she Has an opera background.
@@angeltensey in the high heels she's wearing, she's up to 195 cm

Floor dropped another bomb in a dutch program called Beste zanger van Nederland. She did a duet Phantom of the opera score, and hits a few notes that are only for the greats among us...
That was insane.
Thank you for recommending that.

React to Nightwish - The poet and the pendulum (Live in Wembley), that's a must. 🤟
I had the absolute privilege of seeing them live twice. They are amazing, incredible, wonderful. I cried many times. I also got to meet them which was a mind blowing experience. They are truly incredible.
im hoping to meet them next time they come around where i live! i'm pretty sure i'll faint, but it'll be 100% worth it.
I've had the privilege of seeing them live 3 times now (once with Anette, 10 days before she left the band and Floor took over)
Tara, one of the things that is not mentioned very often is that this is a 15 song set and this performance was song number 13 in the set. Thus, she is doing all of those wonderful technical things, such as breath control, etc, after about an hour of performing. Now not all of Nightwish's songs are this long, but there are a lot of them that are similar in the amount of effort that Floor and the band have to put out on stage. The whole band is just amazing.
Check next The Poet And The Pedulum live from Webley and enjoy great music and vocals with so much emotion.
100% agree with this comment
That's a great song but never saw the live performance. I will have to check it now.
Yes Please!
Yep, @Tara, @Tony Lapore and others are right. You're totally ready for The Poet and The Pendulum at Wembley 2015. Buckle up...
I have seen them performing Ghost Love Score in 2015 at the M'era Luna Festival.
It was so amazing!
Hi Tera. That song was 90 minutes into their set. Also, the audience numbered 83,000. I love your reaction videos!
Even more impressive is this is after songs like romanticide as well
Floor is classically trained and is also a voice coach in her own right.
Have never clicked on a video so fast! So glad you reacted to Nightwish, and glad you enjoyed it!
i was there in wacken back in the days. there were 83k people listening to the band. i cannot describe the atmosphere closely to what it was like. i literally had goosebumps from head to toe.

She saw it all and made cogent comments. My only criticism is that she talked over some the most important voicing at the magnificent end of the song.
For that, hear the original video.
If you sea a video of Tara, lots of technical explanations are in it. I think that's why people are here.
@@Delibro Lots of other voice coaches presses space and switches into speech mode. Then presses space again to return to listen mode. They tend to catch more details by being 100% focused on listening.

Floor is vocal goddess! Thank you for reacting to that! :) Great information! :D Hope you can do more Nightwish at some point! :)
@Talsong Kingslayer go away from my comment. Many people love Floor more than Tarja
@Talsong Kingslayer I have all the albums and blu ray of Tarja but, Nightwish today, only with Floor.
@Talsong Kingslayer no floor🤗👍

Why bother? They're all singing to backing tracks, it's impossible to do a comparison.
Honestly, nightwish are the most talented band of the last 20 years, but still dont have the recognition they deserve. They have album after album of incredibly delicate yet extremely technical anthems

Welcome to the Nightwish Nation!
"The band was created by the keyboardist and composer, Tuomas Holopainen"
But
What about Tarja Turunen and Emppu Vuorinen? They're all co-founders!
Tuomas had the idea in his mind already and then asked Jukka and Emppu who were on board. Then asked Tarja. They all make up the band but he started it and it is following his vision / direction but with consideration of the other members input of course.
Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera! This performance is with the original Nightwish singer along with the bassist on the male vocals! Great reaction.
And this song was at the end of 70 to 80 minutes concert ....she is brilliant
Tuomas is the keyboardist, that pipe thing is just a fancy front for his keys.
ferretmom66 Yeah, but Troy, who plays pipes for them, is an official band member.
Yeah, uilleann pipes are the Irish version of bagpipes...most European countries have some version of the bagpipes.
I don't think Troy was a full time member of the band at this point - he did the pipe pieces, as well we other instruments, as a session musician IIRC
I have never heard of this group before but I am a fan now.

Well thats because she is, objectively, one of the greatest singers alive right now. If you watch Best Zangers you will see that all the professionals singers there, even the legend that is Hank Poort, were absolutly impressed by her.
Theres one reviewing the duet with Henk poort, she said she heard way better versions but lacked to say the names of those performers.
@@realeyesrealizereallies1176 it comes down to personal taste I guess, she didn't say they sung badly just that she preferred the more classical approach from the musical, she was very complimentary of Ghost Love Score. I think it was Opera singer reviews or something like that.

About the huge crowd ... This recording took place at the "Wacken open air", europe's (if not the world's) biggest Metal open air festival.
This "recording" is right. Most of the sounds you're hearing are being piped in rather than being played live.
@@TontoEpstein You are wrong. Yes, some backing choirs and symphonic parts are played from backing track. But not as much as you think.
(Yes, I love her more than Dimash and Morissette.) This band is phenomenal live, and their studio is okay, but live is where it’s at.
funny how everyone is like "I never thought metal could sound like that!" Well yes folks hear that. Nightwish, Within Temptation and waaay more.
Yeah, people exclude music based on pre assumptions.. Someone heard a death metal tune in passing and thinks all Heavy Metal sounds the same. Nice though that some, at least, gets the wake up call and an opportunity to enjoy something new to them.
Helli We I guess most have never heard Iron Maiden before.
You talked through the high note, never saw anyone do that before and miss it.
yeah right.
i can relate. she's been talking through some great moments. the constant talking without pausing the video was irritating to say the least.
She talked through the whole video. She's really quite sickening to watch. Another failed singer doing vocal coaching.
@@randypeters366 😂😂😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
This how the world discovers a goddess called Floor Jansen...
Lol! Right?!
@@Tarasimonstudios As i already said before in another coments... Love your reactions and lessons... But I don't undestand why you did not made more videos of NW and Floor. I wait for, I don't know, 6 mounths and did not see anymore videos of this guys... Please give us this gifts...
@@Tarasimonstudios please react to Sonata Arctica - Fullmoon / there friends with Nightwish
I personnaly discovered her in her ancient band called After Forever in 2002. Saw them live twice. So I had my first Floorgasm a long time ago.
@@catherinegoulet4263 After Forever was great, I used to listen to Energize Me all the time. So glad Nightwish managed to bring her on board after Annette left.
Please react to Epica - Sancta Terra live with Floor Jansen ❤
This. It is a great example of Floor and how she interacts with others. And a great performance as well.
YES!!! React to Epica!!
With the added bonus of being exposed to the beautiful and very talented redhead SImone Simons.
Yes please!
I second this request 😀
I gotta say this is the very first time I listen to this song. And I felt like cry emotional during it. Man, what is that. Soul-melting singing/instrumental
She taught for years, sang professionally with success for over 20 years, and is a vocal coach during her downtime. So yeah, she's both technical and emotional.
Her: "I'm probably gonna try to talk over some instrumentals, *if there are any in here*..."
Me: That's obviously her first Nightwish Song - and there's a lot of talking ahead 😂.
I understand your comment 😂✨👍🏼
I'm not so sure, she has obviously done some research because she picked Troy out straightaway
@@Tomtraubert2009 nah she just thought tuomas was troy and the organ fascia were pipes
The poet and the Pendulum, The greatest show on earth, Ever dream, Romanticide, Yours is an empty hope.
Skip the last. She doesn't like growling.
100% she needs to do Greatest Show on Earth. A masterpiece for the ages.
Tara: wow i was not expecting that symphonic orchestra sound
Me: boy are you in for it!😄
i guess she''ll rally like those symphonic sounds form the Poet
"The Greatest Show on Earth" live at Tampere by Nightwish is an absolute masterpiece. I think you'll love it.
Awesome song and man is that band massively talented.
I was there and I thank you so much for your positive reaction to this type of music and your appreciation of the genre.
You should listen first then pause and then talk. You've missed most of the song while talking things you could have said afterwards.
Thanks for introducing me to this. And for your appreciation of this genre. Great commentary.
8 Simple Rules for Reacting to Nightwish
1 - At 1:25, that's not Troy. Also, those aren't Uilleann pipes.
2 - Yes, that drummer is killing it. Always does.
3 - Yes, the rest of the band are also serious musicians.
4 - So is Floor, but like, on turbo.
5 - Watch The Poet and the Pendulum.
6 - Then watch The Greatest Show on Earth.
7 - Then have a drink and a cigarette.
8 - If you need to come down easy from your Floorgasm, try Epica - Sancta Terra w/Floor.
Followed your instructions. Floorgasm well and truly achieved. I'll take that drink and cigarette now, and I don't even smoke.
Nightwish - Poet At The Pendulum (Live AT Wembley)
Epica - Sancta Terra (Floor Jansen) Live AT RETROSPECT show
Welcome to the Nightwish family and the wonderful world of symphonic metal. Feel free to freefall into the rabbithole of more Nightwish (please!), we will very happily watch every single one of your reactions! This was a joy to watch!
You'll likely drown in requests, which I see is already happening, and all I can do is suggest pretty much ANY other song from this same performance - Wacken Open Air 2013. Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley and Greatest Show on Earth from Tampere are usually where reactors go after Ghost Love Score and with good reason. :D
you now know why it was not requested ... it was demanded !
I have to pay tribute to the drummer. He is absolutely amazing.
