Vw please offer a lighter interior trim on models as well as a lighter roof trim option, ad stop making thrown trim compulsory on top trims , please offer the lighter interior option that the USA did on the id4 founders

They build that 'manufacture' to assemble the more expensive Phaeton Model (you remember that thing?) and create a more special delivery experience. People who bought a Phaeton basically went there, watched how their luxury car was build using lot of manual-steps, and returned home w/ their new Phaeton. Today the Phaeton is history, but the VW-Glass-Factory still serves it's original purpose: Representing the brand in the light they want to be represented. Back then it were luxurious cars. Nowadays it is electric mobility (first E-Golf, now ID3).

Also it can be wise to show manual labor for 2 reasons: * You dont necessary want to show off your best "production secrets" on RUclips, unless you want to be bragging about it ;) * In Germany a lot of people are biased against electric cars, because there are threaten to make tons of high valued jobs obsolete. So this is a good marketing move to show that EVs can create jobs as well
This is not any production plant, it is the „Gläserne Manufaktur“ . It was designed to be a Manufaktur in which the people can look inside and see how the cars are getting made. It was created for the VW Pheaton- a luxurious car which should compete against the s Claas, 7 Series and A8. The real ID3 production line is in Zwickau, which is a much more autonomous factory, as you can imagine with much higher capacity (right now 1400cars a day) Look that up... Right now VW uses this production plant for the ID3, because they don’t have any other product for this plant. But I guess in the future this production plant will be used for an exklusive electric car or a car with low production numbers.

Das sieht dort so fein aus, weil von 2002 bis 2016 da mal ein richtiges Auto gebaut wurde, dass so eine ansehnliche Manufaktur auch verdient hatte.
War eigentlich auch immer skeptisch, aber man sieht ihn ja jetzt immer öfter und ich muss sagen, mir gefällt er mittlerweile recht gut.

Yep, the machines are working slowly. But the result is a good car. Tesla is nothing but good software. The rest is just crap.

Nonsense, they are still ramping the production, vw makes 10 million cars a year compared to tesla with barely 500k.
