at the 1:43 marker...2 small vertical diamond-shaped dents in hood just above VW emblem at both 11 and 1 o'clock...if it's in the press, it's in every 1 of them, guidecoat would show these up billboard-big...33-year Dick Nobile certified GLASURIT painter.
That's on the front bumper and just made out of plastic. There isn't any press and it can simply be fixed.

Hands 🙌 on building the Beetles was by far much more entertaining. I vote for VW to bring back the air cooled engine and the Beetle.

Beetles were made in Australia from the early 1950s til 1977 in Melbourne Victoria in the suburb of Clayton. The facility was bought by Nissan motor company of Australia in 1969 I believe before fully taking over the facility for local manufacturing of Datsun vehicles. Nissan had been manufacturing vehicles in Australia for some time prior to the occupation of the old Volkswagen facility in 1969 before completely taking over the factory in 1977 which spelt the end of making Volkswagen cars in Australia. Datsun/Nissan car manufacturing in Australia continued until 1991 when Nissan decided to cease car manufacturing in Australia. The factory was sold to HSV, a performance offshoot of GM Holden which made high performance versions of the iconic commodore and high performance versions of the luxury based lwb statesman and caprice until the end of Australian car manufacturing in 2017. HSV continued until the axing of the Holden brand in 2020. A bit of trivia and brief history of Volkswagens manufacturing existence in Australia. 😁👍

I have a 15 year old golf TDI which is still in good working order because it gets serviced every year but the inside plastic and upholstery is falling apart. I don’t think that VW Europe understands how hot cars get in Australia. A number of years ago I had to have the lining of the ceiling replaced because the glue had degraded so much that it was hanging down. Since then numerous plastic parts have broken and the linings of the doors are coming off. This is just an appeal to the manufacturers to take the high temperatures that cars in many countries face when they use plastic and glue.

Drum brakes on the rear axle? This is 2020!
The motor drives the back wheels and does most of the braking.
Yes it's 2020 and these EVs have powerful regen, rear disc brakes are just fashion and not needed.
The article cited by Schlichter Hannes says that when brakes are used rather infrequently rust is a major concern in disc brakes and will cause heavy costs for the owner. Furthermore, drum brakes are lighter and help reduce weight and they are much better protected from dirt and rain/water. As far as function is concerned drum brakes do the job as well as disc brakes with the exception of fading on overheating which will occur much less in EV due to recuperation.
@@higamato3811 This is the official new, but the real new is that drum brakes are cheaper than disk, You always will have to brake, so maintenance is not the problem. The performance of disk brake is far better than the drum. It is only cost. Companies doesn't care about customer's economy maintenance. Only care about earning money with the after sales : Drum brakes cost more reparation hour, better for the company.
@@yutufyourselable As it seems that is not correct. With recuperation and one-pedal-driving the brakes are much less used than in combustion engine cars. The remaining brake job is almost exclusively done by the front brakes which are disc brakes in the ID.3. This leaves the rear brakes without function in a lot of situations, and this ist where the rust problem comes in.

Just a shame that the ID series interior materials are so poor or I would've bought an ID3 over a Tesla. And I say that as a previous owner of an excellent (seriously) Wolfsburg Golf R.

Jeden Tag immer wieder die selben, monotonen Handbewegungen zu machen, ohne dabei verrückt zu werden, ist aber auch nicht jedermans Sache...
Lange fährt man mit einem VW eh nicht, entweder bis zum Einspritzpumpenschaden oder dergleichen oder bis zum Abgasskandal. Kaum zu glauben, dass es noch Leute gibt, denen sie die Autos verkaufen können.
NIE WIEDER DEUTSCHE FZGe - dort kauft man Made in Taiwan oder China --> je nachdem was billiger ist.
@@christianlehner2295 komischer weise werden es immer mehr Hersteller die mit Unregelmäßigkeiten bei den Abgaswerten auffallen da wirds schwer ein Hersteller zu finden der da nicht mitgemacht hat.
@@raphi25895 sehr geehrter Herr Lang! Das ist/war nur einer von etlichen Gründen, dass ich den ganzen Fuhrpark umgestellt habe und keine deutschen FZGe mehr habe! Habe jetzt beruflich Mazda & Hyundai im Einsatz; bei beiden kann ich nichts negatives berichten, der älteste Mazda ist mittlerweile ca 9 Jahre alt, mittlerweile größtenteils im Privatbetrieb mit über 380 TSD KM drauf und absolut keine Schwierigkeiten. Die erste Panne hatte dieser mit ca 5 6 Jahren und über 300 TSD KM drauf (Abgassonde def. - das ist mit diesem KM Stand okay, mit ca 330 TSD KM kam die Lichtmaschine, dann flog er endgültig rüber zum Privatbetrieb), nicht mal die Kupplung oder dergleichen wurde getauscht, nur Service Reifen Bremse - normale Sachen und läuft von einem Service zum Nächsten. VW Audi bei 150 TSD Einspritzpumpen def., Getriebe def. etc
Antwort vom VW Konzern: das ist eine absolute Ausnahme (2x???), so wie Sie die FZGe belasten, das können Sie Ihnen nicht zumuten, damit nach Griechenland usw zu fahren, etc
Ich kaufe die Autos zum Fahren und nicht zum Anschauen , dafür hab ich meinen Oldtimer!

Drum brakes in the rear what is this 2000
Is an electric vehicle, barely use brake. Having a rear disc brake without using it will corroded, drum solve that problem (that’s what VW said)
This production line is all spit and polish Not much good when your car sits down on a journey and VW dont want to know and put you on a waiting list for God knows how long while VW Germany and garage exchange ways to pass the BUCK , I have been there and so have a quite a number of other VW owners .Never Again , VW is too strong .

Once upon a time VW was a decent brand. Last 20 years, reliability is gone, innovation is gone and is one of the lowest ranking brands in reliability. I bought my last VAG car at 1997 and sold it 5 years later. Since then Japanese cars only.

Since "diesel gate", VW has been getting cheaper on interior plastic components to save money I guess. The quality feel of VW fit and finish is what I loved about VW! Sad to see it go in recent years. VW Group had $13 billion in revenue last year. Why are they cheaping out?
Golf R is perfect, my 2019 golf R stick, made in Germany, Golf R never came from anywhere else for U.S. ..Fit and finish on golf R is great.
