Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for reacting to my song request! This band is my all time favorite! Exceptional musicians. Exceptional vocalist. Exceptional lyrics. I included the lyrics starting with …..Ascend may you find no resistance… and ending with…Someday, I too will fly and find you again…in a eulogy for my 17 year old nephew who passed away.
Great band! Vocals by Myles Kennedy - top notch! (lead guitarist Mark Tremonti is a very good vocalist also - and the two of them harmonize so well together!) Guitars are excellent! Both guys play leads, but Mark does most. He is more metal, while Myles does more complementary blues rock licks. Both together are sublime! Too many great songs to list. Enjoy the rabbit hole if u choose to explore. It’s very worthwhile 👍🎸
a few things: 1) Myles (vocalist) was sick in that concert. 2) You (and who is watching this) can hear better the music without your guitar (sounds good, but can wait until the song ends). 3) Myles is an excellent guitarist. Both Myles and Mark are excellent guitarists and vocalists.
I enjoy some Alter Bridge (I play some bass & a little guitar into Ableton when I feel the urge to get an idea down), & I also enjoy Pearl Jam.... yet I've never heard PJ's "Betterman" at the start of this.... but now I'll never be able to unhear it - you're quite right!! Myles gets some crazy overtones from his upper range. Really unique voice. He also delivers some satisfying lyrical guitar parts. Quite the recipe for rock star behaviour, yet he is one of the most humble men in music, which makes him a favourite of mine. I used to enjoy the music of Creed despite Scott Stapp's vocals, so was very happy when the lads grabbed Myles to form Alter Bridge! The compositions are more mature & satisfying than the Creed days, & Myles' vocals are undeniable. Let's put it this way, I never spent money buying Creed albums, but I own a couple of Alter Bridge CDs. All the best from your newest subscriber in Scotland. :)
Agreed Amsterdam was probably their best captured live show with the orchestra the performances etc more than anything for me is them performing “words darker than their wings” I think it’s called, all time favorite song and I am shaky on the title

I'd never heard this before! Thank you
19:18 yes, he is holding the pick with the middle finger
Words Darker Than Their Wings live at Royal Albert Hall is a masterpiece and a must listen for everyone, including you!

Mark (lead guitar) is tuned half a step down and Myles (rythm) is tuned to drop C#, try fortress live from the royal albert hall.
That's what I thought, thanks for the confirmation.
Great video :) back then he did use the Fender Amps for clean only and Mesa Boogie Rectifiers for distorted tones
Nice, I did not notice that!

Myles was congested for sure - can really hear it when he spoke in the beginning to set up the song.
Still sounds great!
@@RB-oc7ti I think it was bronchitis. not only you can hear it, you can see his nose and part of the face "red"

Tremendous song. Good analysis.
Myles Kennedy uses a Open A tunning in his guitar. The main guitarist is Mike Tremontti.
Mark T.
Try their song 'Fortress' live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Subscribed…. Your not a good enough actor so I can tell you GENUINELY are enjoying what your seeing I love reaction channels with genuine folks
The Wembley gig is by far the weakest of all of the live shows. Amsterdam, that's what you should have reacted to.
?! at least he did a video on it
