  • Nissan is betting big on the X-Trail to spearhead their CBU operations in India. This is a bold move, akin to tightrope walking without a safety net. They’re banking on the allure of a global model to overcome the price premium. But given India's love affair with affordable cars, it remains to be seen if the X-Trail can win hearts and wallets. Only time will tell if this is the beginning of a beautiful love story or a one-night stand. Vipul spends a day with it in Delhi

This is at least 10 years behind every car manufacturers present. They should have pitted XTERRA in the price range to compete with Fortuner as it doesn’t have any competition in the market presently. XTRIAL is clearly a creta class car with 1/10 th of featyres of the same with approximately two times its price. NISSAN should build the brand from scratch. Should bring the originals to the market like PATROL, Z350, GTR…etc. Should have a separate distribution and stop producing their budget line which they can continue through Renault. NISSAN should start their line from KICKS onwards going upwards to GTR. Then they will get good results and they should produce in India. PATROL and GTR can come via CBU. Even Mercedes and BMW is doing better numbers than NISSAN.

A Nissan 1.5l 3 cyl CVT petrol SUV for 40 lakhs + Tax. What is the management thinking or rather, what are they smoking?! That these buffoons are in charge of a multi million dollar enterprise is beyond belief.

Solid car with great drive + handling! Not for people looking for a ‘cellphone on wheels’ where a car is labelled ‘good’ because of the # of gimmicky features it has!

I own Nissan Kicks, it is a great car that did not work out, but then they learnt from their mistakes and brought Magnite, but now I doubt do they want to survive in India or they just want to shut down and go, X Trail is going to be a big flop, only big shots are going to afford and that too just for fun to have multiple cars in their garage..all those who want to do a serious purchase will go for Fortuner, Kodiaq, Gloster, Tuscon, C5 etc., Renault Duster can only save Nissan now..

I have a nissan terrano and using it for 9 years. Nissan service is very unreliable . The clutch is very hard and it’s not a pleasure to drive . No matter what we say , the perceived value of a 3 cylinder petrol is no more than 25 lacs ex showroom .
