During Los Lobos’ set, David hidalgo busted out Jerry Garcia’s legendary Alligator Guitar for a couple of songs. The guitar was later used by Susan Tedeschi as well. Hidalgo led the charge on the classic Dead tune “West L.A. Fadeaway” with Alligator in hand.
I was at this show and was surprised that everybody was singing along (myself included)!

Why surprised? The Dead owned that place for a decade.
True, but I'd never seen Los Lobos perform this song. Yes, I could have looked at their setlists from previous shows, but I like to be surprised.
