Xbox achievements switched to online only with the xbox one onwards. It makes them delayed and unreliable. They have not fixed this in 10 years. Wonder if they will make them offline as well again if they are making a handheld.
I'm thinking they're going to be heavily pushing cloud technology in this next console. Games are being built specifically with that in mind. The best example that comes to mind is Kojima's OD game. Which could possibly be a unique launch title?
Microsoft's new surface pro runs on Arm. As for consol Gen, it should be an annual refresh like phones. That would give Devs more flexibility just like apps on a phone. Some will work only on the newest console and others could work on the last five if it were a yearly refresh. Side note, my new samsung s90d 65" TV has built in support and comes preloaded with the Xbox app and connects to my Xbox controller. I have not tested it yet because I have the series X and life is busy, but I see the future is xbox is an app and streams on any smart device. The TVs just need to get cheaper and they will. My TV cost close to $2k currently.

if they actually pull off the OS situation where there is a minimum spec that can be cranked up all the way by other manufacturers and it can somehow play steam games as well as it has been alluded(so PS first party as well) then xbox will actually have a chance of matching sony in hardware sales. In terms of revenue/profit they will surpass.
Making the console more PC like has been a big win in the sense that we keep all our games, the downside is that the “jump” isn’t as big so it doesn’t feel as impactful. And I for one DON’T CARE, give me a new box every few years that plays my games better and I’m sold. At this point I’ve been one the fence about going back to PC gaming for the better performance and flexibility, but I don’t want to loose my gaming library. So I’ve just been hoping for an Xbox flavored PC release. Like give me the windows equivalent of a steamOS. Built to be an xbox but you can still access those PC apps for when you need them. Even better if all the parts are upgradable and you have the option of “mid gen upgrades” but just swapping out the graphics card, or the processor, or bigger/faster ram or storage. Even if that’s the end of the traditional console, I think it’s a huge win for giving the console a path into the future
No issues with the generation disappearing, 4 years to a new hardware release with an X version appearing halfway through that 4 year cycle - so better hardware every 2 years sounds like a great plan for XBOX
Correct me if I'm wrong but most Xbox Cloud based games are actually running the console versions of games. Based on that logic, Microsoft cannot simply stop making consoles as they'd need to have a Console to base their Cloud infrastructure on. Say the Xbox Series X2 and S2 (I like those names better, fight me, lol) never get made, then Cloud Gaming would be stuck running Xbox Series X/S versions of their games unless they use the PC versions which in practice presents licensing issues since many publishers treat Xbox and PC as two different platforms. So maybe its wishful thinking but perhaps there will always be an Xbox Console to be the basis for everything that's not a PC. Also, if they just ran virtualized versions of Windows to run the games, they'd possibly have to deal with greater security risks since PC games typically are not aware that they're running in a cloud sandbox and thus do not prevent the user from messing around with things.
I know exactly what it is. Outdated at launch.😂 500€/$ is not enough to build a console that is more powerful than the series x. I would pay 1000€ for a good console. Still cheaper than a good PC. I hope they dont make a Xbox prime s.

Kinda hope they dont release a new console in 2026. This allows Sony to get their hands on it and see what technolgy is in it and change and upgrade what they can to help ensure their PlayStation is more competent then the 10th gen xbox. Which would be bad for Xbox Studios. Also, this gen seems to be finally kicking into high gear and games talked about 3-5 years ago are finally coming close to fruition. So id much rather see Xbox Studios wait and hold out for 2028 at least so we can hopefully see games take better and full advantage of what these 9th gen consoles are capable of. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and Xbox Studios doubles the system memory to ensure ddvelopers have enough to work with.

I'll wait for an official announcement before getting hyped. All that said, if I were Xbox I 100% would target a 2026 new generation release date for the anniversary and more than that, I'd try to move the console to a 5 year new hardware cycle from then on (which will also mean new consoles always fall on the 5 and 10s anniversary years). I just feel like generations aren't going to ever be as profound as they once we're and from a shorter time between new hardware without a pro model scheme. Also I'm gonna put it out there and say I like the name Xbox Prime whether its real or not. Xbox Prime X would also go hard.
Well I read the article they said those next Gen rumors for Xboxes fake but I don't know who to believe at this point because you can't believe everybody so it could be real and it could be fake I take everything with a grain of salt not less Xbox actually comes out assist something
They also have to define, why Xbox. Why buy these machines with Xbox software if a normal pc with steam will do just fine? Can they convince Japanese dev to release games on Xbox store instead of steam?
@AvoidingSpam not releasing a consistent line up of exclusive content, lying multiple times about exclusivity and employee retention regarding acquisition. Releasing 2 different console SKUs that delay 3rd party titles, upsetting their loyal fan base by releasing 1st party titles on rival platforms making their purchase of an Xbox unnecessary, shutting down studios and laying off thousands while also wasting 80 BILLION on studios that havent released quality games for a while when they could have just invested that money into their employees, sending mixed messages to consumers on their business model, I could go on and on man
Of course, people are going to care. Most hardcore Gamers are, at least. Hell, even with the Nintendo Switch, 30% of Switch users primarily use that console docked. Home consoles are still the go-to for heavy gaming. Portable gaming is just as fire, but not so fire that it has pushed hoke gaming to the side.
Xbox's only choice for next gen is full Steam OS compatibility. Anything other than that will be a failure. They need to flip the table on the console market.
I honestly don’t see the point to any new Xbox hardware under their current direction. Xbox hardware just tanked this holiday season, and the reason is simply that they offer no incentive to invest in Xbox hardware as they continue to work towards bringing all of their content to every competing platform. I can tell you that as of right now, given their current direction, the Series X is definitely my last piece of Xbox hardware, and it sucks because I invested heavily into their platforms since the OG replaced my Dreamcast at launch. On the Series X alone I own almost 1700 games, and they’re taking a piss on that support, and in my opinion everything we’re seeing today stems from the backlash they got to signing a timed exclusivity deal for Rise of the Tomb Raider and Phil Spencer’s public humiliation tour for daring to compete. It’s awful, I hate it, and I’ll have no part of it. I’ll simply buy the new Switch whenever it comes out and that will be where I game from then on. It’ll never be PlayStation, and as long as they continue to spit on brand loyalists, it will no longer be Xbox.
Why not a handheld and a separate dock with additional compute and memory that's essentially a "under the TV console"? The subsidized high-powered game console is dead. Nintendo abandoned that market years ago and the low sales of the PS5 Pro shows that expensive dedicated gaming consoles are now a niche market. The Switch, Steam Deck, and Rog Ally are the future of mainstream gaming. That's where the bulk of consumers will be. Microsoft chasing a dying market is what allowed Apple to kick them from the top spot in smartphones. They had the market leader in PocketPC phones and ignored what Apple was doing with iPhone and instead focused on fighting Palm and Blackberry. Focusing too much on the battles of yesteryear is a death sentence for many companies. Microsoft's focus should instead be on merging PC and Xbox gaming into a user-friendly console-like experience and put that experience on PCs, laptops and handhelds. Trying to subsidize a $1,000 console will kill the Xbox brand. Microsoft's focus should be on a single experience for all devices and cloud gaming. That's all. The traditional console is a niche market that's no longer growing and trying to subsidize the cost of hardware with $300 million games won't work. The old console business model is dead. The razors are too expensive to make and so are the razor blades.
Just F.Y.I., both the XSX and PS5 launched on November 10 & 12, 2020 respectfully. That is four years ago, not five. It won't be five years until later this year, in November. Just about every content creator I see keeps making this mistake.
We already have XBox One. We don't need another Series considering Micro$oft never followed through with the idea that there could be various Series SKUs. Plus if they did it now everyone would apply them to current generation XBox.

It has not been 5 years. It has been 4 years and 2 months. No one rounds 2 months up to a full year. Your entire video is skewed from the very beginning to lean toward the ideas you’re attempting to propagate.
I doubt they are doing another traditional console. It will be more like a gaming pc with an xbox sticker on the side and they will try to convince everyone that they have just invented something that already exixts.
A gaming PC without windows and all the bullshit? I am extremely hyped for that. The only reason I have a PC is for the games. The worst thing about a PC is windows. If Xbox can make a gaming PC with all the games without windows, that will run PC games better than equivalent PCs because they won't need to account for Windows draining resources in the background. That's going to be a best seller for sure.

Xbox prime was the 360 era I no longer have faith in Xbox anymore Thanks a lot Phil Spencer👌
Na the blame falls to Don Matrick.....Uncle Phil just inherited the the Fallout aftermath
@ nah what did phil do this gen that made the Xbox great. He did nothing but made things worse 2 years of failed consoles back to back
Well I read the article they said those next Gen rumors for Xboxes fake but I don't know who to believe at this point because you can't believe everybody so it could be real and it could be fake I take everything with a grain of salt not less Xbox actually comes out assist something
Im getting this new Xbox when it comes out and im selling my ps4
They also have to define, why Xbox. Why buy these machines with Xbox software if a normal pc with steam will do just fine? Can they convince Japanese dev to release games on Xbox store instead of steam?
With the way they funbled this generation who would buy this next console?
@@vincentnguyen777 what did they fumble with this gen?
@AvoidingSpam not releasing a consistent line up of exclusive content, lying multiple times about exclusivity and employee retention regarding acquisition. Releasing 2 different console SKUs that delay 3rd party titles, upsetting their loyal fan base by releasing 1st party titles on rival platforms making their purchase of an Xbox unnecessary, shutting down studios and laying off thousands while also wasting 80 BILLION on studios that havent released quality games for a while when they could have just invested that money into their employees, sending mixed messages to consumers on their business model, I could go on and on man
It's gonna be an Xbox Pro at best. But is anyone really gonna care? Handhelds are gonna be a bigger thing in the future, Nintendo led the way
Of course, people are going to care.
It's not that crazy. The Xbox One is 10 years old
I was about to buy a ps5 but I will wait for prime. I know Xbox is gonna get it right soon and turn the tide
Suuuure 😂
Join Nebula, I would watch you there every day :))
❤❤❤xbox series power X best of the best 🥰🥰🥰
NOT going to be called Prime. Thats a kinda cool name, and we all know how adverse MS and xbox is to decent sounding names.
Xbox's only choice for next gen is full Steam OS compatibility. Anything other than that will be a failure. They need to flip the table on the console market.
And Ponies 🐴 said Xbox is Dead ⚰️💀🤣
Just ignore them, they figuratively (believe themselves to) have a horse in the race.
Shut up and take my money 😂
XBOX IS LIFE LOL
Didn’t Jez debunk this
I honestly don’t see the point to any new Xbox hardware under their current direction.
If it’s all digital then it’s dead in the water. I’ll be done with MS
#PRIMETIME ?!
Absolutely nothing new, except the thumbnail
Just F.Y.I., both the XSX and PS5 launched on November 10 & 12, 2020 respectfully. That is four years ago, not five. It won't be five years until later this year, in November. Just about every content creator I see keeps making this mistake.
It feels so pointless now
I think it fits with the Halo / Xbox 25th Anniversary quite nicely. New hardware, new Halo. Maybe lol.
Halos dead, nah, they murdered it. We just have to be happy with what Bunggie made and call it a day. It's þime to move on.
I don’t believe it. PlayStation fans told me Xbox leaving hardware they never wrong
PlayStation fan are so blind
Microsoft should let sony release the ps6 first and let no one care about it like the PS5 pro. Come out a year after with a bang.
Series X2 would be better honestly
damn i forgot this channel existed. might be time to branch out, the microsoft-only focus is killing your channel growth, views & engagement.
Switch 2 coming in 2025.
Xbox “Prime” coming out in 2026.
PS6 coming in 2027?
Xbox prime? What about Xbox Series One? Sounds better than prime
We already have XBox One. We don't need another Series considering Micro$oft never followed through with the idea that there could be various Series SKUs. Plus if they did it now everyone would apply them to current generation XBox.
that made no sense...
You have to remember they're still in this weird paradigm thanks to none other than Don mattrick 😂 I bet when he walks outside everyday all he can hear is TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV yeah we got it don what an idiot I'm still trying to figure out how the Xbox one runs on DDR3 oh that's right at 32 es ram buffer😂😂😂 anyway moving on
It has not been 5 years. It has been 4 years and 2 months. No one rounds 2 months up to a full year. Your entire video is skewed from the very beginning to lean toward the ideas you’re attempting to propagate.
Satya Nadella should hire CRAPGAMER to lead the Xbox division
it's time to switch to sony
Please release it next year and take my money 😤✅
Its just going to be another junky cloud streaming device. Xbox is trash, and no one at MS understands what gamers want.
I hope not. I want a console, not a PC. If I wanted a PC, I would get a PC.
The only hardware they plan to sell is the accessories to use on other platforms
I'm tired of AMD.I used to love Xbox consoles having tech no one else has its what made it an Xbox and of course powerful. I'm not impressed with AMD as of late.
