Oh sorry, I missed that! Went back and watched it, great work as usual. I've been spoiled by this current camera angle and closeness where we can clearly see the kick. That sounds terrible to say and I hope it doesn't come off ungrateful. I really appreciate what you're doing here.
@@BONHAMOLOGY Wow! cool I got goosebumps from that back in '75, still do. I'd love to hear your updated version, but this take was sweet for me. I was lucky enough to catch them at MSG in '77 damn, I was 18!
Spot on as usual, George. Wish Zep had done this more live. Apart from a handful of shows in early 75 it was never played. Maybe they thought it was too similar to Trampled Underfoot or Plant's voice couldn't hack it. It was the perfect song for the stripped-back 80 tour in my opinion. Would have loved to have heard Jimmy ripping up the wah-wah pedal on this one.
Thanks George, love your videos. I am finally getting to grips with sme of these beats after 40 years. Seems I am more of a visual than auditory learner!!!
I've been watching Bonzology for quite a while now. I'm a 59 year old that has been drumming - off and on - since I was about 13. Do you guys think Bonham (and other drummers of the era) had a clue of the impact they would have on drummers and music all these years later? Do you think Bonham knew, at age 20 when he got into Zeppelin, how good he really was? Do you think drummers like this are that good when they get started in a band and then progress and get better - or do they just "have it?" I mean do you think when Rush replaced their original drummer with Neil Peart anyone had an idea of the drummer he would become - or was he already that drummer, way back then? Things to ponder....
Chuck Flint , I’m 66 and I still remember the magic of being at their show. Is was like feeling a mystical presence when they were in the house. It was palpable. So spot on professional! I play guitar mainly, but am learning drums too of late.
Chuck Flint : I should have said shows, plural, since I saw them every time they came to Detroit. I know Plant hated Detroit since the crowd was was unruly and there were assholes lighting off fireworks when Plant was introducing some new songs off Houses of the Holy at the time. He said quote: “Now that’s really stupid! Please no more of those fireworks Did you see how I jumped!”
Westy. A couple of questions George. The Kit sounds amazing but I gotta say the snare is just on the money and how I want mine to sound. What make is kit and particularly snare? Being a LZ nutter like Terry prob helps, but how long has it taken you to dissect Bonzo’s drum parts because I never heard them so accurately played before? Not just on this track either. Your clarity, feel, dynamics are a lesson in themselves and are helping me so much. You should definitely make some drum lesson videos. A series of lessons you would get many takers at a fee. More views are so well deserved and Drumeo need to pull you in too. Sometimes a breakdown of grooves and fills are just what’s needed. What a teacher!!!! How about some endorsements for both George and Terry???????
One of my favorite Zep songs, can't count how many times I've played this
Trey Murray word!!!
Same here. Spotify top played song two years running
I got a copy of Physical Christmas 1975.This was my favorite at the time.I pooped that album on and this is the first song I heard.
Love that fill at 3:36. And of course, in classic Zep style, it only happens once. Just feels so good to play!
I know! I love this song & that's my fav part of it!
Me too jsjsjsjsj
Such a simple fill on that last jam but damn is it one of Bonhams fattest. Hits you right in the chest
Brian Mund That's one of my all time favorite musical moments!
That snare sound is spot on man
Your the man ,best zepplin drummer on youtube. So relaxed. Thanks
Never realized all the ghosting with the bass on this song. Fantastic work!
Custard Pie was name of my first band at age 15.
Well done
Most valid custard pie cover
First song I ever heard stoned!!
Love it!
Love to hear some Physical Graffiti tunes...awesome! Thanks for posting!
stamperdesign More on the way. I just did the whole first half today.
That is some GREAT news! As of late I can't hear enough of the Wanton Song, such a funky Zep jam. Terry kills on this tune as well. Can't wait.
Also wanted to Thank you again. I know how much work goes into making these videos and posting it and everything.
stamperdesign I did post the wanton song already, look through our videos and you'll find it. I may do it again

This makes so much sense now...I thought it was 16th notes on the hihat, but it's just precision snare ghost notes! Thanks Bohamology!
Top 5 Bonzo groove tracks
Awesome! Bonzo’s ruff game was in top form on PG.
@3:35 the tastiest part for me.
That's one of my fav moments in the recorded catalog! I need to redo this one now that I have a better sound setup.

Perfect summation of my feelings about this channel.
Great bass cover video here, playing along with this drum track. Follow his channel!!ruclips.net/video/rSuMCkdHVBw/видео.html
When will you upload 'Good times bad times' ?
It is my favorite song
On the studio recording I hear 16th notes on the hi-hats....am I wrong?
He apparently played quavers on the hi hat throughout.
how are you micing your bass drum?
Gazuka I'm using a Shure SM 57 but I am still tweaking it. It's about 10 inches from the front head. I think it's a little too hot this time.
You need a little reverb. Drums sound dry.
Things have changed since I made this video.
