Great job, man!! John Bonham’s drumming was so perfect and sounded so complex, but he was really more simple, throwing in things at random, so one could never really anticipate what he would do next. The live filming at Earls Court 75, Seattle 77 and Knebworth 79 and you can see it…and the power he had was always there. Of course MSG in 1973. The Custard Pie track has the four of them so tight and precise, it just grabs you right in with it!! In my top of my Zeppelin list since the first day. Rick 😊🎶
You rock and rock HARD. Every beat. Fantastic. Saw them @ Earls Court '75 on the last tour gig Sunday. They came on early by 5 minutes. Your work is a phenomenal and tremendous memory blast. Keep 'em coming - ta muchly.
Dude you could be in comedy. Got to that Bonzo down🤘 I'm jammin Right alongside Jimmy. Sound's just like a Zepp rehearsal in here. OH the Ocean next. Count it off!!!!!
THIS IS IT! That's how you play fucking Custard Pie! Grit grind and groove! As if youre playing in a storm on a ship on rough seas! Ghost notes are fantastic! Great jam-along! (no such thing as a drum "cover"!) ---GARY -first time viewer.
very nice mausoleum this is also one of my favorite grooves wouldn't you know it and you always play fantastic you're fun to watch baby smile, play it now!!!
I am a guitar player, and practing this song is driving me CRAZY. The stoptime part (1:06-1:12 in the video above) is killing me. It's not hard to play, but the timing is throwing me off. Is it straight 4/4 al the way through there? I may be crazy, but I swear there's something weird going on there. 2 Beat measure? Man, Zep could really play.
It's 4 measures of 4/4 I think. The hits that he crashes the cymbal on are on the + of 3 in the third and + of 2 in the fourth measure. 1 + 2 + 3 (+) 4 + 1 + 2 (+) 3 + 4 +
YEOWZA! So good to see you play "for real" and having so much fun. Excellent groove my man. Hope you won't give up singing altogether though, as it's quite entertaining in it's own "unique" way.
Terry This is great to be able to cover zep, the only true rock drummer band with music. Couple years have gone by now and I see you cover/teach other songs How about a request? This was be like my Xmas 1970 in the Army-Germany MOM sent me two 8 track tapes #1 Zeps first LP & just as big I thought The Pipkins Gime Gime Gime Dat Ting Can you cover that? bring back some of those old hippie tunes?
I think that should make a series in which every weekend you upload a cover of Led Zeppelin, starting from Good Times Bad Times, all the way through Wearing and Tearing. That'd be awesome now that you are allowed to cover them on RUclips!
I cracked up at the end of the song when he said "I'm so happy", then belted out the beet shit eating grin on the planet. Terrys crazy! (I mean this in a GOOD way)...
Fantastic playing man. Was wondering if you could tell me which hi hat cymbals and stand you use here? If anyone could help me out really I’d appreciate it.
Thanks Brian- it's a Pearl 900 Series HH stand, and the hats are a Zildjian A Heavy 15" HH on top, and a Paiste 2002 15" SOUND EDGE BOTTOM on the bottom.
love it, love it, but please try real bass and guitar or at least a drumless track. also do you have any recordings of the band you were with that played the led zep? love to hear that, cheers Terry
+Abby doc If you go to the CREATE tab on your channel and click on MUSIC POLICIES you can see what songs can be covered. Many of them of them are from remastered albums and from live albums. Very few from straight off the original records, but some are Night Flight, In My Time Of Dying, Royal Orleans, Darlene, We're Gonna Groove...
Could you try using one of the drumless tracks I sent you for a drum cover?I know at least Whole Lotta Love is allowed on RUclips since I have both an instrumental and a remix on my channel and it doesn't have any viewing restrictions.
+Beatles Instrumentals and More I'd love to! I need to double check with RUclips though-even though WLL is allowed, I need to make sure that particular drumless track is. I'll upload it and see if it passes the bots. The Heartbreaker is like 30 seconds longer than the record (due to a longer solo that was edited)-so that one is out.
Perfection has your name! I do not know how you do it really well done! I'll leave a like, I am shocked! Gorgeous! A hug! You have the same desire to make things sa friend of mine, his name is Egidio, if you want to listen him, You can find He in my playlist! Kisseeees
You are having a hellava time there my guy.
Possibly my favourite Zeppelin song, that groove

You “untricked” that tricky fill for me. I’ve been trying to do it with my left hand only. Thanks !
Terrific, John! Thanks for the comment!
@@bonzoleum I relate to the inspired goofy and joyful kind of fun you have when you’re hitting the groove.

Это просто завораживающее!

Your good and yes this covers at classic tune from my youth years past 🚬🚬👀
Very nice. And to think that all these years I'd imagined Bonzo playing 16th notes on the hi-hat.
Dude you could be in comedy.
Got to that Bonzo down🤘
I'm jammin Right alongside Jimmy. Sound's just like a Zepp rehearsal in here. OH the Ocean next.

If this drummer ate custard pie while playing this . . . . I’m just saying. Great Jack Black impersonation, by the way.
I mean with Bohams triplets
Hi Anas-I’ll check that stuff out!
Fucking superb!🥁
Thanks, Conrad!!!

The recording was skipping and you ended up ahead.
