I think it would also be nice to add that rather than meeting Luna in the epilogue at the end of the second arc, Moon has a vision of pantala, or at least the silk wings, and maybe in the new epilogue of arc three we see Moon and her friends arrive on pantala to set up a theoretical 4th arc about the two continents reconnecting
Yes! I still really think Pantala and Pyriah should reconnect in some way. Either Wasp is still too powerful to defeat on Pantalas own, or Moon is curious enough about it to go there with her friends and some characters from arc 1.
Yes! As a long time fan I kinda want a connection to Pyrrhia to see how our old friends have grown and evolved after the Darkstalker issue. The one Tui wrote was kinda depressing tbh. You know, all the *Death*, and *Doom* and complete utter hopelessness? Yeah... I'm also kinda sad that Cyprus cut off Freedom (Formerly named Lizard.) But I'll admit, the history behind Pyrrhia and the Scorching was cool, but SO, SO, confusing.... I still like this version though.
From what I remember, we are told that the Chrysalis in Jewel Hive goes around like the Scooby-Doo gang because of how "nice" Lady Jewel is.. But that in Bloodworm Hive the Chrysalis is, so we are told, more of an actual resistance movement that helps carry out a terrorist attack. So, perhaps, an alternate book 14 could be from the perspective of a member of the Bloodworm Hive Chrysalis. Both showing the abuse they get, and the desperate methods they resort to to resist. As a book from the perspective of dragonets, obviously this would mean sending child soldiers into battle. It can show the commencement of the burning. The protagonist could see a troop of Hivewings try to salvage the wingless Silkwing dragonets as the structure falls apart and, reluctantly, stops fighting to help with that... So when it comes to negotiating between the three tribes to stop Wasp, the first hurdle is to make sure the Silkwings from the different hives don't start fighting each other. Just think, one of them seeing the Treehopper / Tau relationship and having absolutely the worst reaction. Because unlike how the two Leafwing factions that reluctantly tolerate each other, the Silkwings could be outright violent. Edit: Also, if you're going to bring back the flamesilks, you need to make Admiral want to simp for Wasp and stay there as everyone else agrees to leave. Seriously, WTF is wrong with that guy!?
Her comparing the Chrysalis unfavorably to the Talons of Peace doesn't make much sense to me either. The Chrysalis actually does some stuff as compared to the Talons who stole some eggs and then became glorified babysitters.
@@easymodegamer501 May I mention that the Talons of Peace probably did Rebel Stuff, we just don’t see it because the only Talons our protagonists were close to were the Guardians looking after them and they were a separate part of the Talons. The other Talons were at a camp far away from our protagonists and we know they weren’t babysitting dragonets other than their own. Is this good enough proof that the Talons of Peace did other things besides looking after the Dragonets of Destiny?
Snudoo and Willow x Sundew were the best parts of the entire arc. Blue is also adorable, and I like book 14 because Snowfall was funny and had a good character arc
I'd also like to say if I would write an arc 4 it would focus on the rebuilding of pantala (this is going off the original story) and would focus on fact that the Hivewings were basical Germany during ww2 and extemist groups would try to renestate Wasp to the throne, and Phirryia being the western powers would have to act as a peace keeping force there and deal with the problems in thier own kingdom.
@@MaryDavison-bx5cn While I think that would be intresting why not deal with these issues but use those characters I just gave a plot not characters and I am just a fan of the books my opion is no greater than your's
Great video Cyprus! This is wayyy better than the arc 3 we got, and I think most of us hope that arc 4 will have more of a arc 2 flavor. Anyways, great art and great chat!
@@the26thLetteroftheAlphabet i liked 14, i just felt like it didn’t help out that much with the plot aspect of the third arc. It was basically just snowfall freaking out about these dragons invading her kingdom, which is a perfectly normal reaction and fun to watch, but idk.
Honestly I love both plotlines. A look into Hazel's mind would have been pretty interesting, and to have Luna's fiery personality back would be amazing. And Wasp remaining the villain with no evil plant would be great.
Wasp felt like the second coming of Blister, who, in my opinion, would’ve made a great evil queen. With Scarlet off the throne, I missed that chaos… I wonder who would’ve been the wickeder queen!
@@JustaSamoyedwell let’s explore this. We could base it off of what we actually know they did, in which case it seems wasp is worse. But if we are thinking, like how you worded it, of what they each would’ve done as queens, blister was said to most likely want to take over other tribes. She’d probably attempt to take over the ice kingdom, but not have any luck. Skywings… with Scarlett off the throne, even if Ruby is strong, rubys tribe is still recovering, even if blisters is aswell. Blister, i feel, could pick her tribe up pretty quickly, then send them to attack the mountains. She would have a tentative agreement with the nightwings, as one of her first acts as queen would’ve been to take out the rainwings- but the nightwings aren’t strong and she knows that. She could re tie her connections to the mud wings pretty fast, if not by using her words then by intimidation as she now has a full army and massive kingdom. She’s already allies with coral so getting coral To do whatever she wants or simply killing her and making, say, auklet or anemone queen would be easy for her, to then manipulate the dragonet, then she has nightwings mudwing seawings and rainwings are either at a position like the silkwings or dead. So it’s only a matter of time before she takes over the mountains, and I feel that glacier as one of the best queens, would know the danger and withdraw her tribe, making all that situated territory into sandwing territory. Now let’s compare the two possible queens. 🦂= blister 🐝= wasp Theoretically / possibly wiped out an entire tribe? 🦂✅🐝✅ Taken control of other tribes? 🦂✅🐝✅ Started wars and killed many dragons? 🦂✅🐝✅ ( and blister wouldve killed more dragons considering they’re more tribes on pyrhia) Manipulated other authority figures 🦂✅🐝✅( blister worse because again she’s done it to more dragons ) Been at war for 10+ years 🦂✅🐝❌ ( we don’t know how many years the tree wars spanned but I’m assuming not 20) Literally mind controlled dragons 🦂❌🐝✅ If you have anything else to add like this comment and @ me with your additions! 😊❤
I didn't love Arc 3... But i might have with a few changes similar to this! Great job. I would miss the scavenger reveal and seeing Pyrrhia, but from a story standpoint, I'm inclined to agree a few changes would have been nice
honestly when I first read this arc I didn't think much about it and enjoyed it a lot, but thank you so much for this video I love your interpretation so much more and now I can think a lot more critically about it and I realize all that was missing. I did like hearing about the history of the humans of Pantala and Pyrrhia in the original books, but don't think it had to be the main point and the breath of evil and cottonmouth and lizard really was just a stretch and didn't make sense. I would LOVE to see the full version of your books they would be amazing!! (hint hint) ALSO CAN I JUST SAY THE ART 🤯🤯 you continue to inspire me so much and THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL ILY
One of my favorite videos you’ve ever made!!!!!!! I love this idea, and although I love the writing of book 14 by itself, I do agree that it stand out at lot, this is such a beautiful idea!!
I would have loved to read this plot line so much more than tui’s. I do adore book 14, but it most definitely falls closer to a legend than a main series book. I hope arc 4 brings back the passion of the first 2 arcs!
I love your artwork, Cyprus! I also loved your rewrite for Arc 3, because your version is what I was desiring when I was reading the books. I wish the OG Arc 3 showed more of Pantalan diplomacy and rebellion without Pyhhria needing to be there. If you want to actually write the story, I would be all for it! I also think it would've been interesting, inspired by other ideas, where the LeafWings hated fungus as some type of evil presence and that it was a forbidden practice to speak to fungus. Then in Arc 3 they find the Breath of Evil itself was a fungus that went into the brain. Queen Wasp finds this out because Hawthorne was practicing the forbidden "dark" arts. It also would make more relativity to the zombie fungi we have in our world where the fungi take control of insects such as ants.
for me, i liked the whole “breath of evil had its own consciousness and mind”. it held the faint edges of a native species fighting against an invasive species, and failing, then slowly evolving to take back its original environment. back during the waiting-for-book-fourteen-to-release era, i had the idea of the breath of evil puppeteering a dragon corpse to act as a “i’m one of you, trust me” kind of thing. i sorta want to go back and try to flesh it out more as an alternative story line, but im not sure how
Forgive me if I’m wrong, but the breath of evil was controlled by a human, but it’s a very infectious plant, so it didn’t have a brain, it was being controlled with something with a brain
Ooh! I love that idea! If you want them, here are some of my tips/ideas on how to flesh that out. Feel free to take them, or don't. These are just my takes on the concept. Obviously, the plant can possess you. But what if it could *overtake* the mind? Like, use it as (essentially) dirt to grow in, and thrive or something. That could add a threat (that would most likely hurt the dragons), and would make it so it could possess the dead as well. Maybe they could end up as plants or something? Slowly be turned into trees ig. Make it manipulative. Like really manipulative lmao. It possesses corpses and people, and possibly uses pollen as a way to infect others. It infects a part of the brain (control center, to think logically, whatever), and yeah. Making it do that could add loads of horror and tension if done correctly. Then, from there, it can grow off of the living, and use them to establish control over Pantala. There's probably some sort of cure (weedkiller hehe) that can help them or something. The three tribes (LeafWings, SilkWings, and HiveWings) need to work together to eliminate the breath of evil, to save their kind. Even just a ragtag gang, like the actual arc, would be awesome. And if they convince the rest of their tribes, the alliances would make more sense. Like how Cyprus said in the video, Cricket could have more depth, and realize that SilkWings also are sentient (surprise surprise), and then try and convince her tribe to stop being douchebags to them. Add some sort of conflict here, maybe? In the end, the HiveWings HAVE to cooperate. Due to gluttony and greed, they're hesitant, but they don't want to get infected and be turned into a plant. Also, main vid talks about SilkWings actually having a real resistance, and showing differences between their respective team vs the LeafWings'. That's another good thing to try and build on. Then, the LeafWings (very similar, just show how they're angry little things but forced to cooperate) And if you're wondering, being FORCED to do something CAN work as character development. Soon, they actually work together and are able to get their W E E D K I L L E R
I do believe you are right. On all of it, actually. Especially on the Cricket personality. I would have loved seeing her realize Hivewings might not be all that great and mighty as she grew up learning. Book 14 (like you said) was completely random. It was a good read; it was interesting. But did not quite work. Finally, I would have LOVED a Hazel book. That would have been great. You were right again about the last book. Lunas Pov did not quite feel like a great last book. I loved Dusky (he's a good target for potential future books), but overall the last few books were not the best. This was a great video. Have a Blessed week Cyprus. Hope you're doing well! :) 🫶🏼
Love this art piece so much! I feel like you really captured the friendly, playful, yet serious relationship of the arc three main characters! I also really enjoyed listening to your insights regarding a such a controversial and flawed plot. I look forward to you next video!
Maybe Lizard/Freedom could still be in this rewrite of arc 3 but as a hybrid baby between a hive wing, a silk wing and a leaf wing as a representation of the freedom and union the pantelan tribes now share.
I like the idea of her being in arc three but I honestly think that it'd be cool if she stayed the dragon tribe she is but instead it went back in time thousands of years ago and showed us what it was like for her and how she was treated. Maybe it would be cool if she had leaf wing silkwing family members since hivewings didn't exist until three thousand years later and she had the same personality but was somewhat interested in helping the pantalan tribes have peace and freedom.
@@Drawing-Roses I feel like if they somehow managed to get her free from cottonmouth she would somewhat reluctantly follow them and realize the chaos pantala has gotten into and try to start helping people while having hatred of scavengers inside her. If she wasn't freed I would assume that maybe she could control the vines and kind of choke or physically control then instead of mentally. I don't remember everything that happened because I haven't read it in awhile
I love this idea of a new arc 3! It was really funny because I was thinking about if I got the chance to re-write arc 3 what would I do and I was like Cyprus please make a“rewriting arc 3” video! And you did! I think that this could also include Pyrrha in some way but I’m not sure how. Thanks so much for making this!
I really like this AU as someone who despises arc 3's conclusion. This would also set up arc 4 as the kinda rebuild of Pantalan civilization and the two continents connecting. Amazing art btw 🤩
a Wasp Hive Chrysalis with HiveWing rebels would be a fantastic literary reward for Cricket after she has to accept that her tribe is corrupt. She finds out there are still well meaning HiveWings in her tribe and perhaps even that her mother and father were figureheads of the rebellion, and that's why Wasp did away with them.
I feel like Tui had to include the trip to pyrrhia to fulfill the prophecy and tie in the idea that not one tribe is better or worse than the others like the pantalan dragons think, she had to include the pyrrhian dragons to show them that you need everyone to work together to solve this problem and that our differences make us stronger together I feel like that was a big message in this arc.
I mean, I love your version so much, BUT, I think I like arc three as it is a TINY bit more- Minor spoilers for third arc I feel like arc three was mostly just a whole lot of almosts. Blue ALMOST gets caught by HiveWing guards, Cricket ALMOST gets added to the Hive-mind by Wasp, Blue and Luna ALMOST couldn't escape the flamesilk cavern, ect. Probably the worst that happens is just the breath of evil gets Swordtail and Blue, but nothing else really bad overall, and I feel like the tension was a bit up and down. Still, I loved the introduction of new points of view, especially regarding all of the Pantalan tribes views of each other, and how they slowly change once they all learn more about each other, so in my opinion, it was still a great arc.
i adore your hazel design SO much!! i was always so mad that her description didnt match her name.. also her being a pov character is AMAZING and we were absolutely robbed.
This rewrite is amazing! I loved the plot of the story.. besides the point where they revealed the breath of evil as sentient. Your rewrite was really interesting, and it would be cool to see someone tackle it as a fic, or something! :) Maybe to keep the Phyrria arc (while still maintaining every other change you made), a party of earlier-arc protagonists (like Moon, Quibli, etc) could make their way over in the second book, because Moon had a prophecy about Wasp and the situation in Pantala, or the Seawings find the continent in a similar way to canon. They’d meet the main squad of this arc, get the details of Wasp and the Breath, and stick around for a bit to help. Then, when Wasp starts winning and the lowest-low is about to be reached, instead of bringing the entire still-uncontrolled population of Pantala, they could send a smaller group of individuals, maybe the injured or younger dragonets, who couldn’t help with the effort and would only be at risk. One or two of the original Phyrrian group could lead them back, with others staying behind. This would allow Quibli to be his glorious self, the inter-continent relationship to be established, and for Snowfall to have her arc with dismantling the Icewings caste system, without the negative consequences. It could maintain the flow of the plot, leaving the main group on Pantala to lead the resistance, like you said, while also adding stress and tension among the fleeing dragons. Maybe there’s some sickness going around, or the predominantly younger refugees have no way of contacting home. Doing both plots (your rewrite’s and a modified canon’s) could solve the issues you brought up, AND explore multiple darker subjects/themes at the same time, without wrecking the pacing. Maybe Bumblebee went to Pyrrhia, how would the separation with Cricket play out? How would the Pantalans react to the dragon who looks just like their Prophet (Moon)? All fun ideas to work with. I REALLY hope this doesn’t sound critical, I adored both the original canon and your rewrite, which inspired this rant. This is just intended to be an idea, and I hope it comes across like that! (If it comes across as condescending on accident, I can fix it :3) Arc three was good, but it has a LOT of issues, and your rework is a really interesting and amazing way to look at it! Thank you for taking the time to make this video, and I hope you have a good day! Edit: I accidentally struck-through "like you said" which was an accident, so I fixed it! Sorry!
I love the whole series and I just finished book 15 today. I agree it wasn’t the best because most of it was taken place in the abyss and kind of confusing but I love it anyway.
i LOVE the way you rewrote it, you should totally write it and post it on AO3 or some other site (only if you have time or if you even want to) it would be awesome!!
I like this AU idea alot more, and I think part of the reason why Arc 3 dipped in plot quality halfway through (at least to me) was that Tui got burnt out from the fairly quick release windows of her books. Hopefully her temporary break from WOF will allow her to give us a much better Arc 4 when it finally releases!
While I fully understand your point of view (and really like your take on the plotline), that wasn't what was in my mind when I was reading the books. I see, retroactively, that I was more impacted by arc 2 than 3, but I very much did like the multiple lore/world building we were presented with, with the icewing animus artifact and the gut wrenching info of the life 5000 years earlier. Oh the tears I gave to Freedom. I vividly remember planning to knit that scene with all the tribes, between the continent, and Freedom, finally liberated. That's why, in my eyes, even if it's not the best writing, it will always have a place in my heart.
I think this is a great remake! One thing that I would change, is keeping the loss of animus magic from the epilogue. Excuse me if she did/did not change that, was kinda half in on this vid, but me and my friends have brainstormed this awesome fourth arc idea, revolving around the loss of animus magic. Even if this isn’t fully canon, there are many paths going forward with this ending! Will share rough story draft at 300 likes
Best line of the day- OF this video "I...HATE.. the breath of evil plotline...'' lol i agree with book 11-13. And Yes Book14 felt like a Legends book or a different focus from the pantala (kinda like we are taking a break from the Arc 3), i had to stop reading and didn't read book 15 in fears it may ruin the "What it could be" for arc 3. and how you talk about how Arc 3 should be, Yes I would be down to hear a full detail write :D and see the drawn pictures of the scene, by your hands or by the fans Love your work Cyprus and, the artwork you did is cute, a real moment to show the fighting is over and peace and joy can enter on Pantala once again. Does leave me question what is by the mountains or how Hawkthorn got turn (could be manipulation or Hawkthorn had enough and made something to bend to Wasp will)
As a writer myself, I could never really quite figure out what went wrong with the end of the series, but you explained it perfectly! I love love LOVE your solution, it just fits the series so much better and I would totally read it in a heartbeat. Do you have any books of your own out??
I really, REALLY like this idea! I ALSO REALLY HATE the b.o.e plot line. And also in the book 15 a.u, you could foreshadow the scorching for arc 4. I think that would be ePiC!!!!!
Also, I never really thought the 3rd arc was that bad, but hearing YOUR book idea, I think it is much better. It is a lot more clear, and I love how you keep it on the same track.
Yes, i think having a actual resistance would make the ark soo much better, I think Moon would still have a vision and possibly try to get there, but get there once the wasp-killing is over to help the Silkwings sort out who's their new leader. I think it'd be fun to see Io or Luna as the Silkwing queen, but there are a lot of dragons who'd be great too. You did great Cyprus, I liked your idea a lot more than the original lol.
I really enjoyed this, but if you were to write it I would enjoy it if you somehow included Lizard/Freedom cause I think her character had real potential, maybe as a hybrid prisoner instead of a half-dead 5000-year-old dragonet, anyways on the whole amazing job and I love your writing and drawings, especially what ifs!
i would LOVE if this were to be how arc three was written. i mean i guess its cool that we got to see what happened during the scorching and a check up on pherhia, but like, we could have had, like, a cave with a carved story of the scorching in the wall, and we dont really need to know about pherhia during the pantala arc, y'know? also, i literally HATED the othermind plotline. i have this thing where i think about all i can remember of the latest arc i read and all i can think about is #1, how the othermind plot S.U.C.K.S. and #2, how bad i feel for bumblebee's biological parents 😢( i know most hivewings are bad and bumblebee could have had abusive parents but what if they were some of the good hivewings, that only wanted a child of their own, but it ended up being kidnapped by the dragons they are rooting for 😢😢)
I do agree with your AU version of Arc 3 of Wings of Fire, i was reading 14 and 15 soon after the books came out and was bored and was no longer being hung onto by the tension of scenes in my head like the first 2 Arcs. I would've loved to see more tension within Arc 3
I LOVE this AU, but I also really enjoyed arc 3, so I think an awesome AU is what it is. It would have been great to see this version of arc 3, along with the original. That's actually true for every arc, in my opinion. It's hard for me not to go down the rabbit hole of creating a ton of AUs. It's just something that has to come to mind. On another note, this artwork is GORGEOUS. I wanna say the best piece I've seen you make, but truth is, every large piece you make looks just as stunning!
I absolutely ADORE arc 3, but your version is SO MUCH BETTER- My opinion on the cannon plot: Book 11: Alright, could've been better, but still good. I'm just really happy that we were introduced to new tribes! Book 12: Absolutely love it! But again, could've been better... I just like how Bumblebee exists there, and also how we finally found out part of how Wasp controls the HiveWings- Cricket is one of my favorite protagonists tho :D Book 13: SUNLOW>>>>> And I loved how we finally got to see how the LeafWings had been living all those years, from the divided tribe to the dangers of the poison jungle. Also, Bumblebee>>>> Book 14: Probably my least favorite book in the arc, simply because of how little happens. I could literally summarize it in one sentence. 'Paranoid, inexperienced queen finds a magical ring that puts her through irrelevant character development while unfamiliar dragons escape to her continent.' Book 15: The first few chapters were okay-ish, but the rest... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I do agree that some of the plot lines needed fixing but some of the things you said weren’t that interesting to me I think that you need to add like the breath of evil in some plots but not in to much like in the book. I think the one book that needed the most fixing was book fifteen because it kept talking about how they were stuck and didn’t really talk about the other characters so you were pretty good about that. I also think that you were right that it should be a different main character because Luna just wasn’t really the best about being the main character in book fifteen. I also agree that Luna and Swordtail should have stayed the same as they were.
I absolutely love the art! Let me just say your probably one of the best cartoon dragon artist around! I so agree with the rewrite! I love Io’s design btw!
I really like this rework! I think the main reason Tui had the plantalan dragons hide and regroup in Pyria was to bring back some of the cast of the last books. Arc 2 had plenty of arc 1 characters, so it makes sense to include them in arc 3. Keeps them all connected in a way.
You should do a what if scarlet won the fight against ruby on your what if channel and go into detail about the skywing tribe! So much potential! Plssss.
I do want them to eventually put book 14 in to a character arc for snowfall and for the invasion to actually be an investigation in to distant kingdoms aka pyrhirra and for a later look into the book of clear sight to have little hints and a map to pyrhirra and for snowfalls character arc to be a winglet and on pyrhirra for moon to have multiple visions for pantala
This sounds like such an interesting plot line, and something I definitely think I would have enjoyed more that the books that we got. Of course there are many things that still need to be covered, but you would have to write the books to cover them, so overall I think it’s a very interesting plot
I'm so glad you mentioned Swordtail's fall of a character after book 11, I've been complaining about that for years. And while I would've loved a book from his perspective, Hazel is actually genius as it also gives us that "New queen perspective" that Snowfall's book did while actually being about an arc relevant character.
I could see book 14 way different but kinda the same Swordtail as main character trying to prove his worth as a member of the team instead of just being there. The book would have a prologue with snowfall being extremly paranoid about these dragons coming to her kingdom but then we get to swordtail in chapter 1. The gist is they get to pyrrhia and while trying to throw these leafwings and silk wings together without anyone fighting swordtail ends up becoming friends with snowfall over something like his mom also died from a sickness from the enemy(maybe hivewing venom?!?!) and swordtail helps snowfall become a better queen and figures out how to be helpful at the same time (wanna keep snowfalls arc)we are also gonna need a new prophecy because no Cotten mouth so yeah Turn your eyes your wings your fire To the land across the sea Where dragons are poisoned and dragons are trapped And no one can ever be free A secret hides inside their eggs a secret lurks within their queen A secret hidden so very deep it is very hard to see Open your hearts you minds your wing to the dragons who flee from the hive Face the wasp with talons united or all the tribes shall not survive
I do like how the two continents meet so, maybe there could be a second epilogue (I’ve seen it multiple times in other books) where Moon still has her vision of the other continent. Epilogue of book 10: Still the same until she goes to the beach (alone). Moonwatcher gazed at the ocean, it seemed to be endless but she *knew* the other tribes were there. The other continent. Without realising she stretched her wings when a familiar voice spoke behind her. “Going somewhere?” She turned around and there was Qibli, she squeaked surprised. “Vision?” He asked looking at the ocean. “Yes, I believe there’s another continent out there with new dragons.” Qiblis eyes widened and he stumbled back, which didn’t happen often. “New dragons? New continent? Alright, I’m coming with you.” Qibli blurted. Moon knew she wouldn’t be able to convince him, but she was also grateful to have her partner be with her on this journey, she didn’t even know how far the continent would be!… that might be a problem. “Okay, let’s get ready and tell our carers where we’d be, I’m pretty sure we’d be gone for a while… plus we don’t know how long the trip would take. So we are going to have to prepare for multiple days of flying in the air. Qibli rolled his eyes, “Yes yes, Uhm… what if this was just a dream? And… we end up flying all the way around the world and once we finally find land again it’s actually the other side of Pyrrhia?” He pointed out. “Valid concern… you still coming with me?” Moon asked, “Of course!” Qibli smirked, “Let’s go surprise these new dragons!… with more of us! One of each tribe!” Moon exclaimed, she thought it would be nice to introduce all of them to the other dragons, but Qibli raised a better option, “Or we could just bring Kinkajou to show off all the tribes, so we wouldn’t need to pack for seven dragons.” “Good point.” Moon sighed. Before heading back to Jade Mountain to prepare for takeoff, she glanced back towards the ocean one last time, remembering the dragons who looked like bee’s, butterflies and leaf’s. Epilogue of book 15: (Gonna do this in Kinkajous pov since we don’t have one of those yet) The journey was long, a little too long. But alas, Moon, Qibli, Kinkajou, and Tsunami (Animus magic doesn’t work still) spotted the largest chunk of land yet. “This… must be… it!” Kinkajou exclaimed. “Almost… there,” Tsunami grumbled (Why couldn’t she be happy about this? Were the first dragons in THOUSANDS OF YEARS! To reach this place!) They could already see a group of dragons at the shore watching them, great, new dragons! Kinkajou beat her wings faster, anxious to arrive as quickly as possible, which she did. By tumbling out of the sky into a green/lime dragon who shrieked with surprise. “AHH! WAIT- who are *you?* Are why did you come out from the sea?” She asked, her eyes widening in surprise as she saw my scales shift to a pale yellow which symbolised me being in pain now, but also OMG OMG WE REACHED IT YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! “Hello! I’m Kinkajou!” She yelled, still on top the lime dragon. The others reached the shore just then, Lime stopped looking at me and her gaze instantly went to Moon, (I know she’s great and all but WHY MOON? I’M THE ONE WITH THE COLOUR CHANGING SCALES!?) “Oh my Clearsight-“ She gasped, and so did the other weird looking dragons, she counted six in all. Most of them had four wings (FOUR? ISN’T TWO ENOUGH?) but a couple had the proper amount of two. Then what Lime said finally was processed by my brain, “Clearsight? How do you know her?” Kinkajou asked finally getting off of her and helping her up. She began to stutter and Moon stood there awkwardly (probably reading their strange little minds). All the dragons stood their frozen, Pyrrhians scanning the lost continents tribes, lost continents looking at Moon in awe (AS IF THERE WEREN’T THREE OTHER DRAGONS WITH HER!). To snap the lost continent dragons out of their daze, Kinkajou shifted her scales to Moon’s, (even included the silver teardrop scales by her eyes, that was how dedicated I was to the role of Nightwing). “Okay, listen up! What *are* you? How do you know who Darkstalkers girlfriend is? And… WHAT IS THAT CUTE LITTLE DRAGONET CALLED?” She shouted, pointing at a little beewing (sounds appropriate giving her yelling and black scales). An older beewing snatched her up into her talons. One of the two winged dragons stepped up. Looking at her face, Kinkajou knew that she had a permanent stern face (which I see a lot of from the best queen everrrrr) that was now quite pale and in shock. “You came to *our* continent! You answer *our* questions first!” She stammered. Qibli nodded. Moon still froze trying to cover up her scales with her Nightwing wing. 5 likes for pt 2 cause I’ve got no time to continue at the moment
I love book fifteen luna she become so much more relatable with her stormy season days as she said and learning how to hide it so carefully it's one of my main reasons she's my favorite character, book fifteen added so much depth to her character turning her from just the less satisfied rebellious big sister into a person that shows how hard it can be when everything feels hopeless and doing everything to hide the way you feel and in a way how her becoming invisible adds symbolism she can finally stop hiding yet she still isn't seen and she adds something special with her caring and sympathy for lizard choosing to give her a new name. and the name lizard chooses is symbolic for what she is giving to all of the dragons of Pantala, freedom. her view of the world threw art and tapestries and how she wishes she could just move around the silk to fix all the chaos is amazing it shows a point of view I've never seen in a story the view of an artist in such chaos and a fairly broken one at that it gives a promise of something beautiful rising from the havoc.
I forgot how to edit but I wanted to say that I still love Luna's book 11 personality but it's less relatable to me, yet still a great trait that's why I like sundew as my second favorite.
Omg YES YES YES! Cyprus your so well spoken and intellectually smart! I love hearing your opinions and stuff it’s very interesting and cool! I COMPLETELY agree with you on these❤ your thoughts are so amazing omg- couldn’t say ANYTHING better then u did
I totally agree with all of your points! I actually enjoyed book fourteen, but it has zero place in that arc. I also really disliked book 15 because the ending was just incredibly sad, and in book 11, I liked luna, but in her book, I dispised her. It was the same with Sundew, she seemed cool and a little bit too much like tsunami, but I didn't hate her but after book 12 her personality was just everywhere and wasn't very enjoyable. Anyways, sorry about that rant, lol. I hope everyone has a blessed week😊
Really interesting ideas and a good way to rethink the concept of the arc fully! I would absolutely read this story (and then the winglet about Snowfall, because I actually loved Snowfall as a protagonist and her character development, and do think it could work as a standalone focusing on her, the IceWings and dragons learning that Scavengers are sentient). I like the idea of having Cricket reflect on her own role as a HiveWing during her book - I think one possible way could be to have her be nice to SilkWings, but in an overly patronizing way (in the sense of "I need to save the SilkWings because their lives are pitiful and they aren't smart or educated enough to even understand it"). That'd make Cricket someone who is decidedly not a villain by intention, and someone readers could empathize with, but also someone with a lot to learn during her character arc. Meeting someone like Luna and learning about the Chrysalis, that is SilkWings actively fighting for their rights, could help her on that way.
But, surprisingly i actually liked The Breath of Evil and while it is a weird idea, i would have liked to have seen Wasp, herself have to work with everyone to defeat it, because who doesn't want to see Wasp's ego just crumble, because honestly Wasp loved control, i could just imagine her reaction to learning she ain't in control, but then Wasp would have tried to kill our Main Cast, but eventually would be killed.
I prefer this version because the arc 3 we got I felt was all over the place and this revision is giving you one idea at a time, instead of basically fifty.
Now that you talked about it... I do agree with 'the plot could/should be better' I did like book fifteen (mostly because of Cottonmouth & Freedom's relationship, Freedom's character developement, Bullfrog, and Dusky's and Luna's friendship plus the creepyness of the abyss) And I think the way you would've (re)written it is really creative and I love it!
I agree, not because of the plot line but because the other arcs are just better with better characters. Also, I changed my pfp to your art because it’s so good! I LOVE your art style!
I think it's amazing that you express your own opinion like this and with some points, I can agree but at the end of it all I love the 3rd arc just as much as the rest of the series maybe even more. love the art it's amazing how talented you are! 🥰❤
Good video, but here's how I think the killing Wasp scene ould take place. Luna held out her talons, the glowing glands glimmered like dancing firelight. Hazel stepped aside as Sundew pushed past, her scowl deeper and more angered than ever before. (Will this really be easy?) Hazel looked at the throne Queen Wasp sat upon, her stinger out and glittering dangerusly in the firesilk light. Luna leaped over the woven silk rug stretched out before her, and phumes of orange silk spilled from her wrist. Wasp let out a bellow of agony and her wings flared and closed like currtens thrown briskly over a body. An image that Hazel wished she hadn't thought of.
Yes! Build some kind of hive/silk bridge across the ocean!
who would be the villain if wasp is down for the count?

@@easymodegamer501
May I mention that the Talons of Peace probably did Rebel Stuff, we just don’t see it because the only Talons our protagonists were close to were the Guardians looking after them and they were a separate part of the Talons.
The other Talons were at a camp far away from our protagonists and we know they weren’t babysitting dragonets other than their own.
Is this good enough proof that the Talons of Peace did other things besides looking after the Dragonets of Destiny?

I'd also like to say if I would write an arc 4 it would focus on the rebuilding of pantala (this is going off the original story) and would focus on fact that the Hivewings were basical Germany during ww2 and extemist groups would try to renestate Wasp to the throne, and Phirryia being the western powers would have to act as a peace keeping force there and deal with the problems in thier own kingdom.

I think Cricket having a character arc similar to that of Judy from Zootopia is a great idea
🦂= blister 🐝= wasp
Theoretically / possibly wiped out an entire tribe? 🦂✅🐝✅
Taken control of other tribes? 🦂✅🐝✅
Started wars and killed many dragons? 🦂✅🐝✅ ( and blister wouldve killed more dragons considering they’re more tribes on pyrhia)
Manipulated other authority figures 🦂✅🐝✅( blister worse because again she’s done it to more dragons )
Been at war for 10+ years 🦂✅🐝❌ ( we don’t know how many years the tree wars spanned but I’m assuming not 20)
Literally mind controlled dragons 🦂❌🐝✅
If you have anything else to add like this comment and @ me with your additions! 😊❤
I didn't love Arc 3... But i might have with a few changes similar to this! Great job. I would miss the scavenger reveal and seeing Pyrrhia, but from a story standpoint, I'm inclined to agree a few changes would have been nice
Very sudden beginning! 😂
honestly when I first read this arc I didn't think much about it and enjoyed it a lot, but thank you so much for this video I love your interpretation so much more and now I can think a lot more critically about it and I realize all that was missing.

Love your art! keep up the good work! tysm for inspring my art! and who would you consider your favorite character ?
Then, the LeafWings (very similar, just show how they're angry little things but forced to cooperate)
And if you're wondering, being FORCED to do something CAN work as character development.
3 mins ago wow I love your content keep up the good work Cyprus don’t give up your art has massively inspired me to draw my own dragons thank you!
I freaking agree!
@@GoofyiiDoodler. Me likely.
But with your version of Freedom what do you think she would do to help with her goals of peace?
@@Drawing-Roses I feel like if they somehow managed to get her free from cottonmouth she would somewhat reluctantly follow them and realize the chaos pantala has gotten into and try to start helping people while having hatred of scavengers inside her. If she wasn't freed I would assume that maybe she could control the vines and kind of choke or physically control then instead of mentally. I don't remember everything that happened because I haven't read it in awhile
I really really like this idea.
Pretty Art :D
And I like how you rewrote the 3rd arc :) really interesting!
Something I think arc 3 could have done better: GIVE US WASP HIVE CHRYSALYS
a Wasp Hive Chrysalis with HiveWing rebels would be a fantastic literary reward for Cricket after she has to accept that her tribe is corrupt.

I mean, I love your version so much, BUT, I think I like arc three as it is a TINY bit more-
Minor spoilers for third arc
I feel like arc three was mostly just a whole lot of almosts.
Wow! THE ART!!!!!! IO’S DESIGN AAAHHHHH!!!!

yayy im here within the first 30 minutes! I love your content, by the way! Your such a good artist and everything you make is so cool and creative!
9:53 To be fair.... Burn DID have a silkwing wing in her tower.
This rewrite is amazing! I loved the plot of the story.. besides the point where they revealed the breath of evil as sentient. Your rewrite was really interesting, and it would be cool to see someone tackle it as a fic, or something! :)
Maybe to keep the Phyrria arc (while still maintaining every other change you made), a party of earlier-arc protagonists (like Moon, Quibli, etc) could make their way over in the second book, because Moon had a prophecy about Wasp and the situation in Pantala, or the Seawings find the continent in a similar way to canon.
(If it comes across as condescending on accident, I can fix it :3)
Arc three was good, but it has a LOT of issues, and your rework is a really interesting and amazing way to look at it!
We should try making Wasp the POV for a book! It would be... Interesting 😈
3rd arc was my favorite but you have a lot of really good thoughta and critique i 100% agree with. v fun
Yes 3rd Arc of Wings of Fire and agreed and also nice video Cyprus 👍🌟
Your version is so much better! I hated books thirteen and fifteen but I would love to read yours!
Thanks for your thoughts on the matter! It is always so interesting to listen to your opinion! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and art!
Best line of the day- OF this video "I...HATE.. the breath of evil plotline...'' lol
i agree with book 11-13. And Yes Book14 felt like a Legends book or a different focus from the pantala (kinda like we are taking a break from the Arc 3), i had to stop reading and didn't read book 15 in fears it may ruin the "What it could be" for arc 3.
and how you talk about how Arc 3 should be, Yes
I would be down to hear a full detail write :D and see the drawn pictures of the scene, by your hands or by the fans
Love your work Cyprus and, the artwork you did is cute, a real moment to show the fighting is over and peace and joy can enter on Pantala once again.
I agree after book that moved off to the ice wing kingdom ,it made the books a bit complicated,
I LOVE this AU, but I also really enjoyed arc 3, so I think an awesome AU is what it is.
I was feeling really sad and somehow this cheered me up. Thanks!
This was so great!
We love you Cyprus!!!!
Keep up the great work!!!
:)
AHH your art is amazing and so wonderful! This arch 3? Better! Lol! Thanks for posting and keep up ur good work! ❤❤❤
I love the 3rd ark and I’m ngl I clicked on this video for the art because OMG ITS STUNNING
I absolutely ADORE arc 3, but your version is SO MUCH BETTER-
My opinion on the cannon plot:
Book 11: Alright, could've been better, but still good. I'm just really happy that we were introduced to new tribes!
Book 12: Absolutely love it! But again, could've been better... I just like how Bumblebee exists there, and also how we finally found out part of how Wasp controls the HiveWings- Cricket is one of my favorite protagonists tho :D
Book 13: SUNLOW>>>>>
And I loved how we finally got to see how the LeafWings had been living all those years, from the divided tribe to the dangers of the poison jungle. Also, Bumblebee>>>>
Book 14: Probably my least favorite book in the arc, simply because of how little happens. I could literally summarize it in one sentence. 'Paranoid, inexperienced queen finds a magical ring that puts her through irrelevant character development while unfamiliar dragons escape to her continent.'
Book 15: The first few chapters were okay-ish, but the rest...
I love your version of arc 3 so much!! I feel like the breath of evil was kind of a let down, but I did still enjoy the books!
You opened my eyes to a whole different reaility i think your rewrite would be really good
I love this so much I enjoyed the 14th and 15th books but it did feel like they were rushed book 13 is my favorite of all the books
The rewrite was very interesting and fun to hear about, you made a lot of good points, nice job! ✌️
Love your side of the story! I agree.
This sounds like such an interesting plot line, and something I definitely think I would have enjoyed more that the books that we got. Of course there are many things that still need to be covered, but you would have to write the books to cover them, so overall I think it’s a very interesting plot
Imagine this…fan made forth arc. Idk why I’m putting this here
I'm so glad you mentioned Swordtail's fall of a character after book 11, I've been complaining about that for years. And while I would've loved a book from his perspective, Hazel is actually genius as it also gives us that "New queen perspective" that Snowfall's book did while actually being about an arc relevant character.
I could see book 14 way different but kinda the same
Swordtail as main character trying to prove his worth as a member of the team instead of just being there. The book would have a prologue with snowfall being extremly paranoid about these dragons coming to her kingdom but then we get to swordtail in chapter 1. The gist is they get to pyrrhia and while trying to throw these leafwings and silk wings together without anyone fighting swordtail ends up becoming friends with snowfall over something like his mom also died from a sickness from the enemy(maybe hivewing venom?!?!) and swordtail helps snowfall become a better queen and figures out how to be helpful at the same time (wanna keep snowfalls arc)we are also gonna need a new prophecy because no Cotten mouth so yeah
Turn your eyes your wings your fire
To the land across the sea
Where dragons are poisoned and dragons are trapped
And no one can ever be free
A secret hides inside their eggs a secret lurks within their queen
A secret hidden so very deep it is very hard to see
Open your hearts you minds your wing to the dragons who flee from the hive
Face the wasp with talons united or all the tribes shall not survive
Wow! Just wow! I’ve watched you before but I still don’t know how you draw so good!
I do like how the two continents meet so, maybe there could be a second epilogue (I’ve seen it multiple times in other books) where Moon still has her vision of the other continent.
Epilogue of book 10:
Still the same until she goes to the beach (alone).
Epilogue of book 15:
(Gonna do this in Kinkajous pov since we don’t have one of those yet)
The journey was long, a little too long.
I’M THE ONE WITH THE COLOUR CHANGING SCALES!?)
“Oh my Clearsight-“ She gasped, and so did the other weird looking dragons, she counted six in all.
I definitely enjoy this *way* more!! This is awesome, plus wonderful art! Love the channel.
I COMPLETELY agree with you on these❤ your thoughts are so amazing omg- couldn’t say ANYTHING better then u did
the plant had no brain. a scavenger did
Well then he should have told someone so that he was actually scary
Was the scavenger the invincible lord from dragonslayer? Cant remember, haven’t read the books in a long time
Totally agree, the arc definitely needed some type of change
So glad your back! please do a late easter special on dev-art?
I'd love to read your version of this arc!
Day 5 of asking Cyprus to make a what if Qibli accepted Darkstalkers offer! :3
That would be cool
oh I LOVE your rewrite ideas!
I honestly gave up on the series after I finished reading book 14. It just got so basic, but this! This was so good!
Ever since my reread of arc 3 I've been itching to try and rewrite it and put my own spin on things. I am glad I'm not alone in that want.
I prefer this version because the arc 3 we got I felt was all over the place and this revision is giving you one idea at a time, instead of basically fifty.
oh my gosh I love the paws on the feet so much
Now that you talked about it... I do agree with 'the plot could/should be better'
I did like book fifteen (mostly because of Cottonmouth & Freedom's relationship, Freedom's character developement, Bullfrog, and Dusky's and Luna's friendship plus the creepyness of the abyss)
And I think the way you would've (re)written it is really creative and I love it!
