      Yes the difference is crazy. T7 has that top-heavy design that makes it harder to flick in tight situations, and then there is power, and stock crash resistance, and stock suspension, and comfort.. everything in favor of Norden 901. It is a touring motorcycle that handles dirt better than some dirt-oriented bikes.
      I was in the saloon sitting on black T7 ready to buy it, decided to wait after the winter and then Norden appeared. Never looked back after that.
      Thanks for the watch 🙌

    -T7,
    -T7 World Raid,
    -Norden E,
    -Afrika otpada zbog tezine i cijene,

      dotaci cu se jos detaljno nekih stvari u reviewu, misim da ce biti ovog il sl. meseca, al eto ti te dve boljke sto su se meni desile da mozes lakse da preseces :)

    Pozdrav .
    Odlican ti je review , a ja vec danima gledam youtube bas mi se svidja ovaj 901 Expedition model i ozbiljno se mislim da ga narucim novog . Ali u svom tom istrazivanju naleteh na gomilu komentara da im se bregasta osteti na delu gde potiskuje ventil i to na nekoj maloj kilometrazi tipa 15000km . Sad vidim da si ti presao vec 50.000 pa kontam jednom si sigurno stelovao ventile . Msm predpostavlaljam "zapravo nadam se" da nisu sve bregaste takvog kvaliteta pa eto znacilo bi mi da neko ko vozi motor da neki komentar po tom pitanju . Bas bi mi bilo zao da odustanem od motora posto u mojim ocima mu ne vidim konkurenciju : izgled, komfort , two-up . Sve mu je nekako odmereno i taman koliko treba a o opremi da ne pricam TOP .

    • @stavrozinio
      @stavrozinio  5 месяцев назад +1

      Nije trebalo stelovanje ventila kad smo proveravali. Odradicu uskoro i drugu proveru, (sad sam na 54.000).
      Nema konkurenciju bajk za te pare, u svim segmentima kida konkurenciju. Probao sam i DX i Afriku 1100 i par razlicitih Tenera 700.. Jedina sa cime moze da se poredi je 890 od KTMa, ali sa obzirom na udobnost i izgled, mislim da i dalje nema konkurenciju.

    • @TrenutnoNedostupan
      @TrenutnoNedostupan 5 месяцев назад +1

      Da to je odlična informacija da nije bilo potrebe za stelovanjem . Msm moguće da jednostavno neke bregaste su dosle sa falinkom pa prave problem. Sto se tice KTM njega inače obozavam ali 890 je jednostavno previse off road I uopste nije lep sto mi je cudno obicno mi se svidjaju KTM . Afrika mi se svidja na izgled I lepo se sedi u njoj ima visok i sirok korman ali Norden mi je puno lepši , douse nisam probao Afriku da bih znao . Mada ja sa bilo kojima od tih motora planiram vise touring sa blagim izletima preko makadama nikako neki ozbiljan Off . Ti vidim da ga teras muski .

    • @stavrozinio
      @stavrozinio  5 месяцев назад

      @@TrenutnoNedostupan Probaj i Afriku i Nordena. Na Nordenu se sedi vise "na" motoru nego "u", i definitivno ti treba veliki vetrobran sa Expeditiona ako ti je prioritet turing. Ali Norden je i dalje udobniji, laksi 30-50kila (u zavisnosti od toga koju Afriku gledas i da li stavljas crash-barove), mnogo nize teziste, i vesanje par kategorija iznad Afrike. Da mi neko pokloni Africoku, prodao bi je instant i opet uzeo Nordena jer je raketa :)

    Great review. Did the prepayment for the Norden E and this bike literally gets me back on two wheels after 10 years on four wheels only (last bike was a 2010 Z1000).
    Question: how does your Norden handled the falls off-road? Do you feel like bars are needed or perhaps a beefier handbar kit is all it takes?
    Also, where did you get your Norden decals from? It looks excellent👍

    • @stavrozinio
      @stavrozinio  Год назад +9

      It performed very, VERY good without bars. I had very hardcore falls on baby-head rock climbs, where it would start falling downhill over me, front tire slides and falling to handlebar at speed, unintentional pivot turns dropping to side from vertical position on rear wheel, and two lowsides on tarmac, one being slow, and one with a honest 20m slide and only things beaten up are AXP Racing skidplate, passenger peg mounts, and exhaust. I even had bars at one moment but they widen the lower part so much and add up weight I decided to ditch them. All the foot levers are protected already with wideness of reservoir and passenger footpeg mounts (don't take them off, they help). Also, I have shortened immediately my hand brake and clutch levers, and for rearview mirror I used Aliexpress dead-angle small convex mirrors and put them on plastics where turn signals are positioned so even less things to break. Not a single crucial damage in 25.000kms for now and I fall 5x every 1k kms for sure 😁

    I like the Norden 901 more than the 901 Expedition but feel dumb paying the same price for it.
    Any comments or point of view will be appreciated!
    I want to buy a mid-size adv motorcycle and after watching your video, analizing and comparing the different options out there, the bike I like the most for me is the Norden 901.
    If I buy it, I would add the taller windshield, gps mount, center stand, heated grips, stronger skid plate.
    So, now my issue is that with those additions the bike would end up costing me almost the same as the 901 Expedition which has those additions plus a couple of other ones. (I don't need the rack and panniers because I would prefer/need an SW-Motec rack and bigger panniers and I feel I'm not as an aggressive and technical off-roader to take advantage of the Explorer mode).
    The main reason for me preferring the standard 901 over the 901 Expedition is the height of the bike and that I expect the standard model handles better on-road: I ride 80/20 On-road/Off-road.
    I'm a 51 years old, 1.77 m/5'9" male. Intermediate-advanced (not expert) rider. Have owned: 1997-2000 BMW R1100GS, 2006-2014 Aprilia Caponord 1000.

      People that rode them both, prefer ordinary one for the road. I still prefer Expedition for that suspension as I ride lot offroad, and onroad I am always happy to ride something that handles new to me. Get the Expedition and find on forum someone to exchange that suspension with, sell the rest, profit 🤷‍♂️ Better to do that than upgrade a normal one.

      Hi, no breakdowns. There were some minor issues that I will adress in review video, but ths is a well built machine that will not leave you stranded. @@nikolagigic9118 Well, all those horror stories are true, but Japanese bikes have a good number of stories like that if you decide to google them (I was doing so while researching and thinking about T7), while KTM just gets demonized more nowadays as they have a worse past than others. If same thing happens on ktm and honda, you will hear it first about ktm. At this stage, I believe all new 700-1300cc bikes are more or less the same in terms of reliability mechanically, as they all follow simmilar normes, from China to European manufacturers. Truth is, if you want an engine that will outlive you, get and old AT, do a general service on it, and ride it forever. I on the other hand will ride Norden until it falls appart. My Svartpilen (27k kms) and friends around me on KTMs made me trust the brand, and KTMs are a blast to ride stock in each category compared to other brands, so I will be sticking to them personally. Only thing that can be problem is bad customer service from distributors, and that is whole another story (I am very happy with distributors for Husky in Serbia).

My opinion is that Tuareg to T7 is kinda what Expedition is to normal 901. Go for T7/Tuareg if money is an issue, but otherwise I would go for Expedition/normal all day long. 901 has best fuel economy, is easiest to pick up, crash proof out of the saloon floor, and is comfiest of the bunch.

I have a 2022 890 Adventure which I like but the 901 is like I felt between a GS and GSA. The only things that are an issue: those bags look utterly crap. A half arsed afterthought at best on an otherwise great looking bike. The other is losing 1 litre of fuel. Not a major issue but why not add to the appeal and give it 25 litres to be in keeping with it’s better comfort and range to match.

    • @stavrozinio
      @stavrozinio  10 месяцев назад

      Agreed on bags, but now considering fuel consumption - I am at 3.4l - 4.2l per 100km. Not sure if I would really need more autonomy as I got from Belgrade to Montenegro seaside on one tank of fuel (530km+) with dash showing me 50kms left (so that was something like 3.3l/100km). That of course was an extreme case of my curiosity and riding gently, but otherwise, since I am always packing light, I am at 3.9l/100km overall if I am not offroading.
      I think they cut that 1l to save some weight and/or slim down the reservoir for a tiny bit to match visual lines.
      Are you on 890R or S? I find it they are completely different in terms of riding. Expedition is right there as a more comfortable 890r, and normal 901 felt to me much closer to 890r than s, which is why I own it basically :)

      The engine heat is not as bad as on the Desert X, but on the Desert X as soon as you move the heat is gone, for the norden you need to move more than just away from the stoplight.
