- Enjoy this fully unedited footage of this lane in Mid Wales a couple of us in the group had some issues getting up this lane as you'll see its pretty hilarious but we got there in the end..
Thanks as ever to th SWTRF for the ride and helping us up there...
Typical GoPro flattening everything out..
Why is everybody constantly stopping ? It would annoy the hell out of me that i could not keep going on. You have to keep momentum.
A group were coming down at the same time and blocked our path then someone came off on the corner, unfortunately it happens..
Put it in explorer mode turn off the traction control stand up and give it the business. The Expedition climbs like a billy goat. I never use first gear for climbs second or third. One finger on the clutch modulate as necessary
Explorer mode was locked as I hadn’t had first service. I’m aware of my mistakes so will be setting up the explorer mode on my next ride.
Cheers
All this people should sell their heave bikes and learn to drive on lighter bikes.
Old mate falling off and disappearing into bushes had me in stitches, sorry
It’s ok pal we all had a good laugh at it when we got to the top 😂😂😂
I thought he went down the hill.
@@misfitfarm1937not quite he stop a few yards down
Try to have some more momentum
2nd gear, at least, not first.
For viewer experiance, I recomend you to tilt your camera a bit more up and maybe hide your mike a bit further into the helmet as it is a lot of fan noise. Just some advice.
Liked and subscribed to see what can come out of this channel. Looking to buy a Norden 901 Expedition myself.
I don’t have a mic pal I’ll eventually use a chin mount and then I’ll have a mic. Yes 2nd would of been better.
Absolutely momentum is your friend on the larger bikes it would keep you from laying it down at least 50% less the problem is omentum can be your enemy if you hit the ground too hard LOL
GoPros do a good job a leveling things out makes it a lot easier for me to ride those tracks sitting on my couch😅
Camera is helmet-mounted, so you can tell the poor guy is looking down instead of ahead. Combine that with going too slow, constantly stopping, too little spacing between riders.... Not the way to get up a steep, loose path. Great learning experience, keep at it! Traction control on, stand up, head and eyes up, focus on your desired line ahead, and avoid stopping.
Hi, my mood wasn't to good, so i came back here to 7:20
Man, this was epic! Thank you for being so honnest and showing this. The one that disappeared into the bushes had me going. I rewinded that part at least 8 times, golden. Subscribed for more.
A lot of people with seats too high and legs not long enough for the big girls. It would be fine with momentum and speed though. These big’uns are not made to crawl like this. I should know, I was like this a year ago. Keep at it, you’ll get there, and when you do you’ll master that Norden. Lush bike!
seems all dry and fairly gripy ?. I ruined a few things on my Triumph Tiger 900 R.P in wet conditions in Wales last July.
Sometimes it is all about going for it, without hesitation. Helas...it makes a drop worse than taking it slow
I don't mean to be rude but maybe start out on some xr100's learn to ride then get a bike to big to pick up on your own just saying..Great video.👍
I miss these... Then again there are lot of these in Portugal as well.
It's probably a super popular hill in the UK. So many motorcycles there :) Greetings from Poland
so much fun
Why starting in 2nd gear I don’t understand can you explain I’m a beginner adv 😊
Helps stop the wheel spinning first can be quite aggressive I’m trying to find grip unsuccessfully in this clip haha
@@mattyaztec sir you did a great job. I’m 58 and debating but this bike. This must have been a steep hill. I just baught a Ducati v4 rally to nice to do adv and it’s awesome on the street. Be safe thank you 😊
@maraudermitchelli yes it was very steep the GoPro always flattens them hills out take care and ride safe
I think everyone needs longer suspension so their legs will grow longer and maybe touch the ground. This is KTM 890 Adventure without the R model territory or at the most a 220mm Norden 901😂
It must have been very steep - camera never shows it.
I hope there was something good at the top to make it worthwhile 😁
it s for that, i am afraid to begin off-road alone 😮
Try riding familiar lanes on your owns ones you’re confident on
Get off those dirt couches and get on bikes you can control.
Hardly, and you should have used the first gear but only because you are starting on a steep slope and you were gassing the Norden as if you were in first gear. When you start on a slope in second gear you have to give it the bees the right way, you have to give it more throttle as you let out the clutch feel the release, the bike starts moving than you give it more just to have it level out. Then you don’t stop, you stand up on the pegs lean in to the back a bit and steer the best you can, do everything possible not to brake traction on lose gravel on a down slope.
Get going..superb....
Good video! Hard terrain. I am exhausted just watching it! Did you get any damage on the bike? especially on the fairings?
No damage on the fairing the skid plate is so good that it hits there first. So bit of damage on that and a little bit on the black exhaust protector. 😃
Your first drive on a motorbike ? Hahahahaha !
Painful to watch. It the kindest way, get some training, it will help you massively. With some confidence and momentum its so much easier.
is the traction control giving you issues? Seems like it cut out...
Yeah too slow and when they barely get moving they quit, get moving get on the pegs and keep momentum. Should have learned on little bikes first. But learning now. 😊
My Himalayan has no problems with this. You need to keep thé momentum😂
Looks like one of those trips that were absolutely amazing! Once it was over. Memories. Lots of unsolicited advice on here. They are all correct. Unfortunately, I feel the need to jump in too. Not sure what tire pressures you were running but it seemed like road pressures, you gotta air down offroad or it will feel like you're on ice skates. I feel the pain with gopro not doing justice!
Geez that is tuff to watch.
El problema no es la moto, sino el piloto.
ouch
Povere moto...
