You wouldn’t have crashed if you had the new thirteen inch tft screen and four more off road modes. That doesn’t come til next year’s model. Start practicing the superlatives guys.
Great review Chad, as has been mentioned, video quality is awesome, final question, when you sat down talking, what was the make of the top you are wearing?
And on the soft luggage, i will use only for light off road and touring , use my DirtBags and Wolf man bags for the hard stuff.

I am new to all this adventure bike stuff. Whilst i am not planning on going of road, i am wanting to buy something to go touring on, whilst i can't say what type of roads i would encounter, I assume it would be mostly road with the odd dirt/gravel road.
What i am wanting to know, is it worth paying 13.5k on a 901 or buying a 1250GS for a few grand more{S/H}. I have found myself stumped on what to buy. Not fond of the KTM looks or reliability for that matter, tiger range looks good, but always found triumphs and BMW GS's for that matter, to be 'an old man's bike'. As popular as they are, is a 27-year-old going to get stick for having a GS or Tiger?
If you want long distance touring the GS is the one. You'll only get stick if you become the stereotype of a GS rider.
I say go for something midrange if youre new to the segment. The GS is an absolute unit, you might not like the extra pounds it carries. The midrange bike will do everything well at reasonable weight and price. You can go up or down from there with ease.
Sticky out panniers flopping around like spaniel ears!
Why? Just to accomodate a high exhaust...
So, an all around improvement…..except for what has to be the worst designed pannier racks and panniers. Compare the racks to the stainless KTM Power Parts ones for the 890 Adventure 😳, and then there’s those soft panniers that are so poorly designed that they are flopping around like a clipped wing chicken on every bump 😱.

Yeah those stock tires are no good in the sand.
sand is the worst..... weight on the pegs, pull both grips back and keep the power on.
hopefully dont cross up and cartwheel.
