    I suppose to see my family this Christmas 🎅
    And I suppose you'll get a chance to do that as well.

    • @LearnEnglishwithCarly
      @LearnEnglishwithCarly  Год назад +1

      Great use of 'I suppose' in the second sentence, Joseph. The first sentence uses 'to be supposed to' because you expect to see your family or you believe that you will see your family, so the sentence needs a couple of small chances: "I'm supposed to see my family this Christmas." (If you wish to double-check how to use 'to be supposed to', check out this video: ruclips.net/video/1JcUkfRm3Do/видео.html) I hope this helps. Many, many thanks for watching and remember that these words 'suppose' and 'to be supposed to' are very, very tricky - this is Advanced English, so you're doing AMAZING! Carly

      @LearnEnglishwithCarly  Год назад +1

      In answer to your question, I won't see my family in the UK this Christmas as we were just there in the summer. I will spend Christmas here in Vancouver, and then I will go skiing over the New Year period. Do your family live near you, or do you need to travel to see them?

      @@LearnEnglishwithCarly that's so kind of you, after writing this comment a thought came to my mind and I realized this is an expectation I could have used here I am supposed to see the family this Christmas, and as you said it's Little tricky to understand both believe and expectation now I figured it out
      And I'm glad you mentioned that video here that helps me to brush up on my learning
