    1. The Period ( . )
I think it is very important because it helps the text not be seen all together, and in this way it becomes less tedious to read.
    2. The Question Mark ( ? )
It has great importance, we use it all the time in what we say and without it, all sentences would be the same and would be affirmations
    3. The Exclamation Point ( ! )
It helps a lot to differentiate when someone is angry or wants to make what they say noticed
    4. The Comma ( , )
The comma is very important because it separates the ideas in the texts and so you can put everything in different contexts
    5. The Semicolon ( ; )
It helps to unite different ideas in the same part of the text and thus it does not become discontinuous and it is understood that they are different things
    6. The Colon ( : )
It is important because it joins two parts, the second explains the first or talks about its functions
    7. The Dash ( - )
It can be used in two ways to separate dates or years, and also to separate statements
    8. The Hyphen ( - )
It is used to join words such as: 10-years-old
    9. The Bracket ( [ ] )
It is used to emphasize texts or give them more importance
    10. The Braces ( { } )
It is used in different ways, depending on the work area, you can use it to show what information is attached or for mathematical formulas
    11. The Parenthesis ( )
They use them to put ideas in the text or put things that can be skipped
    12. The Apostrophe ( ‘ )
It is important so that the text looks more natural and makes the possessive known
    13. The Quotation Mark ( “ “ )
They are used to highlight words or quote things that other people said
    14. The Ellipse ( . . . )
They are used to keep the text short and from there they jump to other ideas

Punctuation marks are necessary to transmit correctly what you are saying. How to use them? Well, there are videos like this one that can help you! You can take notes of each section, to be able to remember things better, for example:
    -a topic
    -another topic
    -another topic
This way you form a working strategy; make sure it is not confusing.
OMG! I learned more in this video than in 2-3 years of English classes. Missed the brackets [Hello] for emphasis and the {} for math syntax, e.g. {3

The punctuation marks are used since 1450-1460. Well-known the punctuation marks are very important because if you don't use it appropriately, the meaning of what you want to say could change and the other person won't understand you. What else are the punctuation marks for? We use brackets "[ ]" for agrupation signs on Math; also we use braces "{ }" for synoptic table. Finally, there are other punctuation marks like:
    - Parenthesis "( )" that can be used for qualifying marks.
    - Elipse "..." that help us to jump from one phrase to another.
    It's fantastic!

Seriously, thank you for making this video! I started my English Comp 1 in college recently, and as a person who has not attended school in the last 12 years, I had problems understanding the comma rules! The teacher assumed that everyone had a basic knowledge of grammar rules and therefore, did not teach us this stuff. Most of the people at community college are fresh out of high school so they were recently taught these things in school. The Purdue Owl website my teacher referred me to was not very helpful. The information on the website is written in such a way that makes it hard to understand.

Thanks a lot for this video you really cleared a lot of my doubts especially about pauses.
Sir I have a question after doing this exercise.
I made a sentence as follows:-
The process of cement production involves four main steps which are crushing, mixing, heating and grinding.
Is the use of comma in this sentence appropriate or there should be a comma between steps and which.
Would love to hear your advice on this. Thanks again for these helpful videos.

Yes, you need to have a comma after "steps" because the clause that follows is a nonessential relative clause.
