Hi Carly! Thanks for another informative lesson on phrasal verbs with ‘get.’ Your explanations are always so clear and helpful. I appreciate the examples you provided, especially how you broke down each usage with different prepositions. I’m looking forward to practicing these phrasal verbs and incorporating them into my everyday English. Keep up the great work! 1. Get about: During the summer, tourists love to get about and explore the vibrant streets of the city. 2. Get ahead in: To succeed in learning English, it’s essential to stay organized and study consistently to get ahead in your studies. 3. Get ahead of: The company’s innovative approach helped them get ahead of their competitors in the market. 4. Get back: After a long holliday, it’s always difficult to get back into the routine of work. 5. Get back at: Instead of seeking revenge, she decided to forgive and forget rather than get back at her coworker. 6. Get back in: After a brief hiatus, the artist is eager to get back in the lake and start filming again. 7. Get back into: Taking a break from a hobby doesn’t mean you can’t get back into it later with renewed enthusiasm. 8. Get back together: After some time apart, they realized they still had feelings for each other and decided to get back together. 9. Get by: During tough times, it’s important to find ways to get by and persevere through challenges. 10. Get by on: Some people can get by on very little sleep, but most need a full night’s rest to function properly. 11. Get by with: In times of need, friends and family can provide the support we need to get by with life’s difficulties. As always, a super useful video, it is a bit tricky but I will follow your advice to practice some until I master them all. Thank you very much, the views are fantastic and you are full of energy, spring is wonderful, the most beautiful season. Take care, Manolo
Hi Manolo, great sentences! They're all wonderful - fantastic work! ⭐ Well done! Yes, take your time with learning these. They're super tricky. Do you think 11 'get' phrasal verbs was too many for one video? I tried keep the same ones together, like 'get by, get by on, get by with', and also keep them in alphabetical order, which is why it was a weird total number of 11 phrasal verbs! I always appreciate your hard work, your enthusiasm and your wonderful messages. Have a great week, Carly
@@LearnEnglishwithCarly Hi ✨Carly, I think that phrasal verbs with 'get' are the most important because they are used a lot, some I have never heard of before and others have a different meaning along with the preposition... the video is entertaining to watch but these phrasal verbs are a little tricky and you have to practice them. Hello, Ms. Carly! I am glad that you came back and looked well. I have been trying to get ahead in my company, and I hope to be a technical advisor in the future. Hi Manabu, I'm so glad to hear from you! Enjoy 'Golden Week'! I have some very exciting news...I will be in Japan in July! I plan to come to Osaka around 19th/20th July to 23rd July (I will leave Osaka that morning). So, please let me know what area I should stay in in Osaka, where I should visit and where I should eat. And, if you happen to be available, it would be amazing to meet you for a tea/coffee or something! I cannot wait to visit your country! Carly
@LearnEnglishwithCarly Thank you for your answer, Ms. Carly! I am glad to hear your plan to visit Osaka. Actually, I have seen a lot of foreign tourists around Osaka. There are some popular places in Osaka, for example, Osaka-jo castle, Dotonbori area, Tsutenkaku area, and so on. Especially, Dotonbori and Tsutenkaku can be the best places that make you feel Osaka, though they are crowded. Tsutenkaku area is called 'Shin Sekai'. I mean, 'New World' in English. If I can see you in July, of course, only tea/cofee in a cafe is alright, but I recommend 'Kushi-Katsu', which is the specialty of Osaka. Kushi-Katsu means fried of a variety of foods, for example, vegetables and seafoods etc. Please keep in mind that it will be hot and humid due to the end of the rainy season in late July. 😀😀
