Your challenge quiltin the red white and black is really stunning! Thank you for sharing that with us. I love Crumb quilts and I have learned that although some people can so things are together at weird angles etc. I’m not one of them. I’d prefer a more regular looking block like you have. It has never occurred to me to search them like that and I think it’s a great idea! I am very fond of the little rectangular chrome box also and have the Accu quilt dies for two different sizes of small rectangles. It’s even more fun when your cats help you sort… Thank you so much for these great videos!

I love the way you make flying geese and triangles and things in the center. It really makes the crumbs pop.

I absolutely love these crumb ideas. I also do this. The end result is so interesting to look at and your idea of sashing them really gives your eye a place to rest!!!! Keep on showing us your crumbs. Your fabrics are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the tutorial on making the crumb blocks. Why do some people use a square piece of fabric or batting as a baste vs. just making the block like you have? I’ve watched tutorials using all three methods and am curious as to why one would chose one over another of these methods. Thank you.

There are a number of methods to put crumb blocks together. Some quilters like to use the QAYG (quilt-as-you-go) technique as it simply allows them to be able to piece the blocks and quilt them all at the same time! Any of the crumb quilt methods are great techniques to learn and to use. I think the method you choose is ultimately your personal preference! I hope you get a chance to try them all! Happy quilting to you, Carla!
