    Wow! That would make a beautiful bed sized quilt. To save thread, I always build two to three crumb blocks at a time. As I get near finished with at least one of the blocks, I will start two or three more blocks. My tiny scraps, too small to sew up into anything, I save for preschool students to glue onto their art projects. Some of those preschool students may one day be an artist, a quilt designer, a fashion designer, or many other important people. When I finish a crumb block that I find plain, I cut it into four uneven pieces. Then i build new crumb blocks off of those four pieces. All scraps (rick-rack, lace, piping, etc.) are fair game in making crumb blocks. I use cheap copy paper to build my crumb blocks on. l really do enjoy removing the paper pieces (off the back) after the sewing and pressing is finished. When sewing crumbs on to adding machine tape, I always sew on two or more tapes (to save thread and speed up the sewing process)at a time. I also poverty piece scraps together to make them long enough to sew onto the tape.

    Your idea of a crumb wallhanging is a wonderful choice. All your sewing is so striking with whatever you come up with, I can never think of much to do with my blocks so I'm glad you are giving ideas. This was a good one. I'd like to put a small wallhanging on my sewing wall but i only have one wall to work on so it has to be kind of small. Please continue with your expert ideas. I will be watching. Thank you.

    I’m a new subscriber, and I would like to thank you for this video. How do you cut up your fat quartets?😊🇨🇦

    • @quiltingwithlori
      @quiltingwithlori 7 дней назад

      Because I have a massive amount of remnants from previous quilting projects, I don't need to cut into Fat quarters for stash. However, if I did choose to cut into a Fat Quarter, I would first take a look at my current stash sizes to see what I am low on. For instance, if I needed lots of 3.5" squares, or maybe 2.5" WOF strips, etc., that is what I would focus on cutting. If you're just getting started on your stash, then I would use my "Lori's First Scrapping Rule" of cutting the largest piece possible (i.e. 10" square(s)?) from that FQ and then continue cutting the largest piece possible as the piece gets smaller and smaller! Thank you so much for watching my Channel. I do have my book set available out on Amazon/Kindle in Canada and also on Ebay for international orders. Happy Scrapping!
