My most fond memory is my mom and I watching dad play through Banzo Kazooie. It was a nightly family activity. He passed away in 2020. Thank you for remaking this absolutely incredible game.

I'm amazed at how many ip's companies just buy and sit on without doing anything with them, while fans show so much dedication and talent that those companies wish they had.
Banjo kazooie, jazz jackrabbit, earthworm jim, the wario land series, ristar, even big names just forgetting them. Yet the fans keep them alive with remakes or spiritual successors like pizza tower and this.
You are doing so much fantastic work here and I can't wait to see it release. Keep it up and don't overwork yourselves; we can wait.

Its because all the decisions are being made at the whims of out of touch crotchety old white shareholders who are more interested in "Trends" and "Expansion" then they are actually catering to an untapped niche goldmine.
Whats popular now? Fortnut? How much money is it making? MAKE THAT.
Bring those M-Rated games down to a T-Rating and slap a battle pass on them, launch it before the holidays!

And you better pull all those resources and make sure that in-game store is FULLY functional on release!
Companies seem to think the only way to use an IP is to hire 300 people and spend a hundred million dollars.
If they just let ragtag teams of 15 devs make a game for 2 years we’d have so many masterpieces at a fraction the cost

You did an amazing job on this Project Dream! I would want to play a Banjo Kazooie remake in this style as just the remade details from the original levels, Grunty's Lair and Spiral Mountain were well done in this.
A little amazing that Rare hasn't hopped on a graphical remaster of their own game, considering how impressive these videos are.
I swear on god if I could load up Banjo Kazooie and play in 4K or Ultrawide, I'd play for months, no lie!
Rare was going to do a B-K remake before they ultimately went with Nuts and Bolts.

From what I heard, they actually had B&K 3 almost finished but Microsoft didn't want to use it, and they combined B&K with another game in development to BECOME nuts and bolts.

That game was called Banjo X. Rare didn't get too far in development with it.
Might be because the development staff are almost entirely different now. Rare is just Rare in name pretty much.
The crazy thing is that I remember the two Banjo Kazooie games visually exactly as they are shown here. I would give my last underpants for a remake of this quality.
I would crawl a** naked in a Bramble Patch for a BK and BT remaster of this quality.

Just for future reference when animating Banjos run animation, his arms swing in parallel with the leg underneath that arm, unlike standard posture where a persons arm swings counter to the leg underneath that arm.

Honestly the two Banjo games are honestly probably some of the most detailed 64 games I’ve seen on that console. The worlds were pretty mesmerizing to look at along with Grant Kirkhopes music and the sound effects accompanying the melodies.

idk what it is about this feeling so great. usually i dont like older games being "upgraded" as it ruins the charm of their old graphics, but this series is just too amazing

I think a remake of Banjo Kazooie is my most desired remake of any video game ever. Wish Microsoft would make it happen, but I doubt it’ll ever come to fruition.

When that spiral mountain riff hit, man, those tears caught me off guard aye.
This was one of the most memorable 64 games of my childhood.. I really hope to see a remastered version soon so I can hop back into that beautiful nostalgic experience. 🧩🖼
When we were kids, we had an adventure with this game and now that we are parents its time for our little ones to have one of their own; but we'll make sure to watch them have fun every step of the way.

There has already been a remaster, this is proof we need a full blown remake.
Id enjoy it. But it wouldnt sell well nor would many other people enjoy it now days. Its one of the most arduous collectathon games ever made. A lot of old games like this are cursed by their own innovation. It was excellent when it came out, but because it laid the foundation for 3d action adventure platformers, the games after it have blown it out of the water. Its a foundation to build on, its so incredibly basic compared to what people are used to.
So people who really loved the original would buy and like this, but it has no appeal to people outside of that niche
@@Claydood not exactly, the versions on 360 and rare replay are not remasters, they are modified ports that the only thing they changed was the references to nintendo IPs and added stop and swap compilability.

@@garfoonga1 I disagree I think it would sell well, I think you underestimate the amount of fans and how well banjo kazooie is still well known even today.
It would do pretty, I think though they haven't released something like this as a result of what devs have mentioned during the development of nuts and bolts, in that they didn't think a remake of the game would be as compelling.
But if anything its clear Rare are focused on new IPs, I think there is enough of a reason for a remake or remaster to happen, but it totally falls upon rare and microsoft
@@redakdal the port also improved controls to fit modern standards and outputted in 16:9 in HD among several other slight changes. A major change was the Stop N Swap content. A modified port is literally what a remaster is. If we ever got what is shown in this video, it would be a remake, not a remaster.

If this is what Banjo-Kazooie will look like in an upcoming game then give me a price, a date and the chosen console you got me with this one! As an OG player of the first BK in 1998 seeing this makes me truly happy that the game has not died... Rather it has been in a cryogenic stasis and awaits the moment of its rebirth.
honestly I'd play a rejiggied version of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie and a fanmade Banjo-Threeie with the Stop and Swap system updated

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Its like you took how I saw Banjo and Kazooie as a child when I played. Id do anything for Rare to revive some of their IPs, Banjo, Conkers, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Viva Pinata. Banjo Kazooie and Tooie will always be my number 1 favourite games.
