    Great video. What for that last test with the four routers, what would your max wired speed be? Would be good to compare against the control

    With the x20 is one of the nodes dedicated as the access point while the other two are satelites, or can you designate any of them as the base router?

    Not a good product. After buying a couple, the X20's provide no option to specify which one to connect to for physically static devices. Have devices connecting to distant X20's even when a stronger signal X20 is nearby. On TP link MORE EXPENSIVE models, have "Connection Preferences" to resolve this known issue - but no firmware update for X20's. Lower end junk.

      Same.with my Deco S7. I have a deco literally within arms reach inside tye room but some devices connect to the deco downstairs. Stupid deco!

    My ISP provided a modem and router…. I can only get it to work if I plug it into the router, but the internet drops for everyone every couple of seconds now. As if there’s an internments having 2 separate routers and connections

    • @aranapauljohn
      @aranapauljohn Год назад

      It should work if you plug it directly to Modem Ethernet where the “provided” router is plugged in.

      @@aranapauljohn yeah. i got it to work but the internet connection still keeps shitting out for everyone. i reverted back to the ISP router again and it is STILL doing it. lol. idk what to do now. if anyone games they lag.

    According Tp-Link you connect one node to the Modem not the Router, this is misinformation

    • @TechforTechs
      @TechforTechs  2 года назад +4

      99% of Modems have a built in router, this will also work plugging it into a router, but obviously you will need a modem on some part of you network otherwise you will not get internet. what we said is correct. we also stated you plug it into the router that you get from your service provider, the routers you get from service providers include modems.

    • @mickclarke2088
      @mickclarke2088 Год назад +2

      Some ppl call it a router some call it a modem, virgins hubs are both as you can change it from router to modem only, so he was 100% correct in what he said, without your modem or router it’s obvious they won’t work

  • @garyertel3699

    This was a complete waste of time. The TP linl needs to be connected to the Router Physically. I had a D-Link three port and all was woking wee. Made a huge error. Moved to Vodafone who provided a wireless modem and now I have to connect a TP link to the wireless modem so in one Office I have two wireless networks. The TP link stays Green all the time and cannot change settings. the whole TP link has been a complete waste of time. More fool me for trying to make some thing that was working better. Now to try and get the Huawai wireless 4G modem to work with the DLink mesh network.
