    Just purchased the 75QNED90 at aafes..2149 and no tax..imo, it is much better than a average or "just ok"..great contrast, color, and brightness and blooming is hardly noticeable in a moderately lit room (we use subtitles and no problems). All these reviews do not equate to the average viewers satisfaction/expectations.

    Hey Classy, excellent thorough descriptions of what you test and related video highlighting it. I've had this 2021 8K QNED99 for 2 wks and have been mostly blown away by the TV after tweaks. I agree with the complaint the price is too high but at this point I'm mostly sold on this being a TV I can grow into as more content and gaming is possible at 8K resolutions. I played Gears 5 and Doom Eternal at 8K resolution on my PC and was insanely impressed at the future possibilities of games / engines actually built with 8K in mind. I came from a 2020 Vizio Oled and can see some differences at times and none or seemingly slightly better performance from the QNED99 in others. Xbox series X games also looked great with tweaks to the game optimizer settings. I prefer slightly vibrant colors and received that especially after the latest firmware (3.15.75 up from the 3.15.32 version I had the week before). 3.15.75 seemed to have been released Sunday afternoon. I noticed the built in presets all looked better, notably colors were punchier and the lifted blacks were mostly gone. Setting the energy mode to minimum also helped control some blooming without dimming the brightness too much. I continued to refine the new preset settings with some of your suggestions so thanks for that!! My living room seating is directly in front with very little side seating, but even from the side it looks very good. It is only from very steep side angles or from top down viewing that I can see bad blooming (have it mounted so it is unlikely unless standing up and being over 6'2 tall). Keep up the Classy info.

    My new #1 RUclips reviewer with no emotions TV comparisons. You just convinced me now to keep my LG C1. Now, if a someone review and compare the aggressive black crush presence 85" Samsung VA panel from QN85A, I will set. QN90A had WAY OVER THE TOP black crush issue. Also, LG C1 black crush can be minimized by increasing the brightness setting to 55.

    A lot of forum members trash QNED. But imo, it's pretty competitive with OLED, and certainly with QLED. Blacks aren't quite as dark, but nothing in nature is truly black. In person it looks very respectable. OLED is sharper, and has more contrast, but it's not night and day difference like some would have you believe.

    Hey man. Received my 77” G1 today and I can already confirm that the gamma shift near black is definitely also happening with Boost enabled. I also think that it slightly washes out the colors which I noticed when looking at Spider-Man’s suit in the remaster but I couldn’t measure it yet. Same goes for brightness. Seems a little higher to my eyes but meter not yet here. Numbers to follow soon. I think despite only having a very small channel yet I will also address the issue in a short video just to raise awareness and make LG notice and hopefully fix it.

About 2k now for the 75 is a nice price. That said, for another 500-700 I still think the 77" LG C2 or Sony A80K (or J for that matter) are worth it. Think I'll go with one of those. Thanks bro!!

    Not actually considering an LCD but still curious about QN90A vs QNED 90. Which one handles the blooming better in game mode and why even does the Samsung still have worse blooming game mode than in other picture modes while other brands do not have that? Do they just do another step of processing outside game mode that nobody else does and that would still cause too much latency?
    I think if I were to buy an LCD I‘d pick the QN95A with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports since we do have that here in Germany.

      Samsung is known to gimp their LD algorithm on game mode in favor of input lag that's why their game mode looks bad as compared to outside of game mode. If I were to pick only an LCD & I value image quality on game mode I would go for Sony as they don't gimp their LD on game mode. But personally I'm rocking the LG CX with my PS5.

      @@nateturk7298 I bought my CX in May last year & have been gaming a shit ton on it & as of now no burn in. I do my due diligence to not turn off the main power when I'm not using it & only put it on standby so it can do its pixel refresh every 4hrs of use. There're also settings to detect & turn down the brightness of static logos. Now days these OLED panels are lot more resistant to burn in than the panels in the past. Now that my eyes are accustomed to an OLED image quality it's very hard for me to go back to an LCD. That infinite blacks beside a bright image gives that 3D effect that I've never seen on a LCD. Each time I game on my CX it's a joy for me. But of course it all comes down to whether you love what you see, that's what matters regardless of which TV it is.

    This is a great video. I’m looking at the qned90 right now on Amazon it’s going for almost 2200 dollars for a 75 inch tv and the g1 is going for almost 3800 dollars for a 77 inch tv. I guess my question is is it far to compare these 2 TVs. Since I’m rocking a 8 year old Samsung 60 inch tv now, I feel just about anything would be better now. Also why do all reviews are with all the lights off? Is this the only way you can in-joy your oled? I have a few laps on when we watch tv. Would that knock down blooming?

    • @ClassyTechCalibrations
      @ClassyTechCalibrations  2 года назад +3

      Lights aren't always off. They usually are as it makes it easier to shoot the TV on camera. But sometimes lights are on and then the image is cropped to just show the TV.
      You could compare it to the Sony X95J and the A80J, as well as the C1.
      Which one would be best will depend on the use case and what you are watching or playing the most.
      Any of them should be a massive upgrade to what you have though. And OLED is fine with lights on too. It's just lots of natural light from large windows that it could struggle.

      @mrb0775 3 года назад +1

      Micro-LED will just be a dream for a LONG time for the majority of us who aren't multi-millionaires. Because as FOMO detailed in a recent video, due to the extreme difficulty of accurately placing tiny pixels on a Micro-LED display, (just for 4K , 8K would be EVEN worse) then as odd as it may sound,
      manufacturing costs for 90 inch 4K Micro-LED flat panels , would be higher than manufacturing costs for 110 inch 4K Micro-LED flat panels, because the smaller 90 inch panels will automatically
      have tinier pixels than those found on the larger 110 inch panels, although the total pixel count on each TV is the same, since both size panels have the same resolution.
      So in essence, since the difficulty of manufacturing Micro-LED TVs becomes more intense as the sizes of Micro-LED screens get smaller, then we can expect it to be a long, long time before we see
      Micro-LED flat panels in the 85 or 75" sizes, selling at Best Buy, for prices that are substantially less
      than what the consumer can buy a new Lexus for.

      For bright flowering, the backlight power according to the brightness of the room, that regulates it.

In 2015 I bought a 55" LG 1080p OLED. I used it for 6 years and it never had any permanent screen burn in. Temporary image retention happened sometimes but lasted only a very short time (maybe 5 seconds). Six months ago I upgraded to a 65" 4K OLED and sold the old one to a friend and it's still doing great. Permanent screen burn in is possible but so unlikely it's hardly worth mentioning. Also, burn in prevention technology is even better now than it was in 2015 and even that old TV didn't have an issue. Newer OLED TVs are even less likely to have an issue.
      The only real advantage LCD has over OLED is that LCD can get a lot brighter. If you are someone that likes a TV that can get eye searingly bright then OLED isn't for you. OLED gets more than bright enough for what most people want even in a well lit room.
      OLED has better blacks, better colors, better viewing angles, better contrast, better motion handling and it doesn't suffer from all the issues you get from having a back lit display like haloing, light bleed and the inability to show pure black.
      I never said OLED was perfect. I said it is WAY better.

      @@XBLdynamatrix I have not noticed that and I only watch VIVID Mode which gets the brightest. Standard Mode gets the Brightest while still looking accurate!
      Most TV reviewers ONLY test and test Brightness levels on like Calibrated Bright or Dark modes.
      Not sure how you can test a TV's abilities in the Darkest Modes a TV has to offer.
      I give Props to Classy for admitting that VIVID is where this TV's abilities Shine!

      @@DontBeAWhoreAnymoreJesusIsHere Not saying I don’t trust your feedback but we really need some more reviews of the QNED99 particularly for the 86 inch version which is what I’m eyeing for a possible purchase. I just feel a lot of people’s patience with this TV is very short. Take B The Installer who absolutely left a bad taste in my mouth how he literally trashed the TV with basically every other word that came out of his mouth. I have respect for B so to here him talk like that was surprising. By the way Classy did a pretty damn good job with the QNED 90 review.

      @@XBLdynamatrix Yes, Classy could not have done better!
      I agree, I saw B! He did say he would still mess with it and give it another chance. I think he really wanted to like it.
      I would love to see more reviews.
      Whisper74 is getting the TV within next week, hopefully.
      He is really looking forward to testing and reviewing it!
      I cannot wait, lol. I believe he will really be impressed!
