This is actually a great idea but I really hope it improves in quality, given its only a few days old, but they should have perfected it before making it available to the public
We can all shit on this service but gotta try personally and give it time for improvement. I can see this becoming a really popular and eco-friendly service when there are way more cars and more parking spot. Give it time and a chance for a more eco friendly singapore
Not when the prices are not justifiable.
The service is good but safety is a huge concern.
Prices might be better when it gets more uses since its cost is probably alot now

the aircon wasn't switched on - did you see then switch on the button, which is near the gear selector!
I see a lot of the people asking what if you don't have license. Guys you will need a license. You will include your license details when you start registering.
TMN Bruce The thing is there's no way of verifying that the driver has a licence. One could always get a friend with licence to register for an account and then use it to rent a car.
That could be one of the problem, in that case, if would need to be responsible if anything happens.

They do. And you have to be above 21 to book too. So even if you're a driver at 18 years old, sorry not shit electric car for you.
Ya when u register, u need to provide photo of NRIC & driving licence. But who knows is it the user be the driver or not? Maybe my kid use my card and go drive the car ? Lol
i cannot rmb what it was, but there is a 2 step verification upon unlocking the car.
If not you lose wallet, people also can anyhow take your card go rent the car.
But that's what I read on their website. I haven't personally try it out yet either.
You will need to press and hold on the ac button for the ac to be on. You should see a ac indication on the electronic dash. Ask me how I know.

As bad as this service is for now, i really hope most cars could be like this in future? after all its electric based and sounds pretty eco friendly? (not that im any eco friendly expert)
Maybe more suitable for more experienced older folks drivers... Like me... Just tried and I like the concept. Handling new and a different car differs for individuals. Some familiarise faster some slower (I am slower). So have to try out yourselves. Overall I love this concept and will use this service. Affordable for point A to point B ... Will be expensive for longer usage where many have said one day rental is cheaper. Carclub is collect and return same location, not suitable for me.

Thx for sharing ladies! Wanted to try it and be a little eco-friendlier but having 2nd thoughts now. Still quite expensive. Also, i believe you forgot to press the A/C button and thus the fogging.
I drove bluesg around 10+ times to work and back home. All trips the aircon is fine and cold. From the video, I don't see the a/c lighted on the display. You need to turn on the aircon by pressing once the a/c button and at the same time the a/c will be lighted on the display to indicate that the aircon is in operation.

I know it is an honest review.. Bcoz I tried it at the launch period. I drive a car daily, and driven hybrid before. This car do not even get close to a hybrid feel, it makes more sound than a petrol car i own.
We felt hot in the car, and that explains why in the video it fogs when it rains. Without air-con in any car, it fogs with windows closed in such weather. We wet out our pants with 4 people in it. The accelerator pedals are bad, brakes are way too stiff for driving and lacks real feedback. I've never driven any car like it, I don't suppose i will again.
The entire setup of the parking system is kinda a big joke.. It is not realistic having to book a parking spot. If it is not available, you park further than your place of visit, so lots of walking after parking. Just book a private hire is way cheaper, and hassle free and you have a driver to help you with it. Best of all, the car will be clean and with real air-conditioning.

Could rent a Honda Jazz for $70/day.... even if petrol it’s probably just $100, definitely not worth.

These cars have instant acceleration and are usually first off the line after a traffic light. No idea how you'd find it slow.
Also the car is only rolling because you haven't stepped on the brake hard enough.
They probably are used to faster cars. Typical sedan car in Singapore is 10 seconds from 0-60. If you are used to your car which is 8 seconds, 10 seconds is really slow.
Sorry but I have actually noticed that the A/C button wasnt turn on. Once you press the A/C button , icon will show up on the dash. Due to the A/C is off it gets so warm inside thus fog up during rain. On my first blueSG experience I have to figure out this A/C button. Overall it is not that bad. Other than the charges per min makes everyone in a drive in a rush.

A typical car rental@60/day add $50(gas) add $30(variance cost) will amount to $140
$140/24 = $5.83/hour
$5.83/60 = $0.097/min

I guess no one saw that China junked over a million bikes that were cluttering up the city, via bike share. The car was obviously a cheap no frills model, but you should figure out all the buttons before driving. The cost sound reasonable, but only for a short drive, time wise, but if you get stuck in a traffic jam, cha-ching, cha-ching. but again, they drove to their destination, but had to drive back. The whole idea is to drive where you need to go, park, then someone else that is nearby that needs a ride, takes the car. The theory is sound on paper, but the reality rarely matches it.
They recently changed TnC without asking consent and forced customers to pay heavy penalties if terminate membership. Typical cheap tricks from nasty corporates. Heard they might be closing down soon

It's definitely not worth it. Worse still have to walk quite a distance to its station as location not well based. Car is way too sloppy when accelerating. Want to find a slot to park also difficult. They should do resource levelling. Ie: to replenish station with no car from station with full of cars. With today's technology , I wonder they have the right expertise to do it ! Charges wise is also not a sweet spot at all ! Aay ... I think better take taxi or grab ... What to do !!! Nevertheless, it is quite a green initiative SG but no green wallets.

Adela Jaini not really. More like because teslas aren't sold in traditional car dealership so it will be cheap af for singaporeans and it uses electricity instead of oil and since Singapore's oil industry is declining not the best interest for singapore to flood the home market with electric cars

Electric cars are not actually better for the environment. They charge the car using electricity and where does the electricity come from? By burning the natural resources, no? Don't tell me we can use the solar technology thing cause it could barely support some home electrical appliances, let alone to charge a car.
