@Kristopher Carmona I know Dante Alighieri, but Dante it's a real strange and old name (as Michelangelo, Donatello). His name means Durante (means the one who last), and even during the time of Dante Alighieri his name wasn't so used. Because Dante it's a medieval name, but in Italy we use more name from the Bible (Luca, Paolo, Matteo, Gianluca, Gianpaolo, Pietro, Gianpietro ecc.).

My grandfather jumped out of his seat and ran into the hospital room looking for my mom and exclaimed in broken English “Maria! Whatever you do! Do NOT name that boy! As a Brazilian, I find it funny that you use names for males that are feminine here in Brazil such as: Simone, Diana, Andrea (similar to Andréia) :D love y'all, Bambini

Why don't people care about meaning of names? For example Muslims and Jews literally search for months through internet what each name means before they give it to the child.

I'm not Italian but I've known a number of Nonnas in my life. Loved them all. Straight shooting and fire from the hip every time. No nonsense, tell you straight and then bake you some sweets or make some pasta to send you on your way. They are the greatest!!

Il plurale di nonna è nonne, in italiano per fare il plurale non si usa solo la s come in inglese (in realtà ora non mi vengono proprio in mente plurali in s in italiano quindi non so dirti nemmeno se esistono o no sicuramente)
