I got this model on mercari that was just opened and never used, for 425 USD . The lady i bought it from got it for free from her work, and she did not know how to change the language (came with windows 10 Chinese) couldn't be more happy with it. using it now to text this :)

Windows trackpad tracking is pretty good compared to MacBook trackpad. Where it falls apart is the clicking parts. You just can’t beat force touch trackpad.

@@elenaflorsalazar5862 Yes. It's a high performing laptop. I'm using mine for more than 1 year for mapping and other heavy-duty programs and no problems and issues encountered so far. The screen size is ideal for editing. Cons: it's just quite heavy.

@@hellohanma5717 Hi, Im using the laptop for more than a year already. Im using it almost everyday (8-9 hours) for writing, analysis, and some other heavy stuff. The laptop is good, battery life is reliable. One minor issue though, the fan start to throttle and emits unnoticeable noise (this is common issue among Mi laptop user) but I replaced it with a new mi fan model (around 50 USD for both fans). So far it's fixed and I hope wont return. Another cons for students, the pro is quite heavy. Overall, the laptop is very good and recommended.

Like the Xiaomi Notebook air but think the Huawei is a little better. Tried both, liked the Huawei matebookX but price is significantly higher here in my country (Malaysia).

This laptop has had some issues with screen burn out and I can't find anywhere in the uk to het it fixed. Also a crack on the track pad. Impossible. Xiaomi won't help because it's not sold in the UK. Anyone guide me in the right direction to get this fixed in the uk?

If you are happy with Windows 10 then this computer could be alright i suppose, i prefer using a MacBook, to be honest.
If you are in the Apple eco-system it makes sense. I like that you can send text messages, make calls and also use facetime on the computer in conjunction with your iPhone.
As far as I'm concerned xiaomi hasn't released any global version of this laptop yet and all the xiaomi laptops has single windows only that's also in chinese. How did your laptop came with English pre-installed?

@@ASBYT is the windows genuine? I used to work in Xiaomi, Beijing. Before leaving i tried my best to get and official English version but i was unable. I saw it on gearbest but wasn't sure about the windows version and the custom duty in my country is pretty high. Anyway i am still in touch with some of the colleagues. Let me ask them and will pick one from China when I go there next month

Thanks , So for £666+ shipping so it's £700 for a i5 processor and ssd , is this expensive ? as you can get a HP with the same specs from PC wourld/curry's for £499 , And if this note book doesn't do anything like video editing then what's the point of getting it as you can get a Ace note book with full HD screen for £250 that looks awesome and Does everything you need , if only this did a good job of video editing then it would be a great choice as I am stuck on what to get for a good all around laptop/ notebook that covers everything for a budget of £700 , thanks and good luck☘️
