    Hi Dr. Sugai. I have a quick question. Which is theoretically more effective, 1% retinol or 0.1% retinal?

    • @omarihunte5899
      @omarihunte5899 Год назад +1

      Retinal is. Because it is closer to retinoic acid when converted, it doesn't need a high % to be effective

    Hello Dr. Sugai! Thank you for all of your relevant and engaging videos! One question I have is something that I have not heard anything talk about before. So with Vitamin C and Retinols/Retinals, albeit more so with Vitamin C due to its instability, that these need to be ideally stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Like it is usually recommend to store in a cool dry place at room temperature (like 68-78 degree F), but what about when you order an item online and have it shipped to you. I am guessing that shipping carrier trucks like with USPS, UPS, FedEx are not really climate controlled, and even if they happen to be, what about when a package is left at your door for 4-6 hours in 80-90+ degree weather like during the summer? Does the exposure to possible extreme heat during the 3-5 days when your Vitamin C or Retinols/Retinals are being shipped or the 4+ hours it is left on your doorstep affect the efficacy or longevity of the product? This has been something I am very curious about lately. I live in Florida, FYI. Thank you again!

    Hello ! I’m 24 and have been using Adapalene since I have 14 for acne.
    I’ve seen so many progress but today I still have some adult acne and I want to upgrade to the next level and treat even better my skin to prevent signs of aging.
    I was wondering if I should go for a tretinoid prescription or a retinal (with less irritation) ?
    I don’t know which one would be the next level after Adapalene to treat even better my adult acne and treat signs of aging
    Thank you very much 💗

    can I use Adapalene Differin for anti-aging and skip all retinol or retinal product? By seeing retinol and retinal in the market, I feel guilty not using it and just using adapalene. My skin is adapted to adapalene already. I never use retinol before. Or should I get tretinoin from a dermatologist? My goal is anti-aging..

    Doctor can you explain about granactive retinoid or HPR? from some resources which i read it explain that it doesn't need to be converted to retinoid like retinol, retinal, etc and less irritated so i conclude it's better. In my country (Indonesia), since around 3 years ago the skincare market is so growing up and now the retinoic product become popular. The marketing of granactive retinoid or HPR is kinda like a first step to try retinoic product and will level up to use retinol or others🤔. The price of retinoic product OTC or Prescription that produced in here is so cheap, most of it only cost < 10 USD and the highest that i found < 20 USD☺
