I don't know why people keep commenting on the length of the name of the phone.
iPhone 15 pro Max is pretty long as well but no one comments on that.

Absolutely - I reckon (nearly) all reviewers just watch each other's videos, read each other's articles and re-serve it
I also picked up the 9-pro fold. If you want to improve the battery life you should turn off the background usage for apps that you really don't need it for. My first 2 days with the phone the battery barely lasted the whole day. After turning off a lot of the apps running in the background I gained a ton more battery life. By the end of the day I'm around 40-50% battery life left.
Google said it in the interview with mobile. Mike, that the reason they couldn't put more hardware into the phone is because of how thin it is. You got to remember that those camera modules and if you look at the teardown those camera modules that it has right now are large and take up a good chunk of the back of the phone. So if you were to have increased it and made them larger it would have taken even more space and you would have had even less space to put everything else in the the phone. That's the reason they had to cut back on the cameras, megapixels etc. Next year I'm sure we'll get better cameras. Why? Because as the years go by and technology gets better, the camera modules start to shrink and the smaller they get the more you can fit into a smaller space
Bullshit. Chinese phones have better hardware and are thinner and the software is horrible on this. Returned it.
@@markedgerton4170, this 100%. Many Chinese foldable phones are thinner AND have better cameras. I haven't used any chinese phones but ended up returning the p9 pro fold and ended up keeping my one plus open. The price difference just wasn't worth it. I miss call screen and waiting, however, it's not worth the premium. I'm looking forward to the one plus open 2, or potentially next year's p9 pro fold in which they'll hopefully put in better cameras and better charging speeds.
I will say the p9 pro fold had incredible battery life though.
You’re not entirely wrong… the problem is that the Chinese folding phones seem to be better overall. I won’t buy one because of all the backdooring crap they out in Chinese phones but the hardware can already be improved right now.
I don't care how thin the device is, if you're going to charge almost £2000 then I don't want to hear your excuses. You better figure out how to make it work

For better life, you can go into the battery settings and see how much screen on time you've had in any given day and how many hours it's been since it was last fully charged. The only way to give battery info in reviews is to give your rough average screen on time in a given day and maybe include how you generally use your phone day to day.

@@cody7790 if you view a youtube video and open the fold it will then open that app or video in fuld unfolded display. If you mean can you watch two seperate youtube videos side by side or different video from the front and the unfolded screen, then the answer is no. Logistically wouldnt make sense having to cope with two different audio outputs for two different videos

I love it. I'm not big on phone games, so it doesn't bother me I can't run games at max settings. It runs smooth as butter doing day to day tasks/regular phone stuff. Battery life is cool, just hate the slow charging, especially the slow AF wireless charging. Other than that I have no complaints.
Watching this video from a pixel fold pro blah blah whatever the f***. This thing is a masterpiece! The Google UI is fantastic. Android by the people that own Android. No Google wallet and Samsung wallet Samsung pay Samsung Play store on top of everything else. Android belongs to Google so you just get such a clean simplified user experience while having amazing build quality with a competitive price and the best cameras ever put into a cell phone.
can't understand why people say z fold 6 is to narrow it's just perfect for me and I've got big hand's, a bigger front screen, what's the point you will never use the bigger screen that's inside, which it's made for, fold 6 for me any time love the build and software.

Btw... One strange bonus of using a Pixel, is that while viewing RUclips, instead of the only options being standard 1.0 magnification or completely filling the entire screen, you're able to pinch to zoom between 1.0 and filling the entire screen. I think zooming into 1.2 or 1.3 makes great use of the inner screen without cutting off too much content. Idk why every phone isn't able to do this.

had the 1st Google fold, made the switch to the OnePlus Open and I'm glad I did.
What do you like better about the OnePlus Open?
@@DeeePYP you have the ability to make folders big or small for you apps on the screen. it's thin and very light. the Google fold battery would last about 7 to 8 hours I can get a day n some change on the OnePlus Open. The OnePlus Open supports Ethernet and external display as the Google fold doesn't. Google phone has more AI features but I don't use it anyway. The OnePlus Open came with a case, super charger and cable. I can fully charge my phone in about 35 min.
The battery life and warp charging was a game changer when I switched to the 8T a few years ago. It was hard to move on from that, but I liked the Pixel 7 Pro experience a lot. The Pixel fold slow charging makes it hard to justify the price for me....I was always close to pulling the trigger in the Open, but the limited years of updates made me hesitant with the price point. Basically... foldables are not in my price range at the moment 😔

I haven't have a fold phone since the z fold 3. I love this phone. I was worried about many reviewers talking about low tier tensor 4 chip compared to High powered snapdragon. So far it been fast and snappy. I can multitask and do my work and watch videos. Only gripe for me is no dex style where you can turn it into computer . And battery life. All and all 4 out 5 star for me.
I think the gripe for a bigger outer display creates a situation where opening the phone is more tedious, as pointed out in the video. The outer display being the size of a normal phone is pointless to me, but thats also why i have a flip
I don't understand the dual selfie camera. There's literally no point having one on the "front" display. If you're going to take a selfie you should be using the real camera and if you're doing video conferencing you should be using the internal camera. That "front" camera makes zero sense.
The Pixel software doesn't take advantage of the foldable form factor at all. That, and not supporting a stylus, make it a complete miss relative to any other foldable on the market. Oh, and having the UDC on the Z Fold is actually great because you have a completely uninterrupted inner display with a serviceable webcam when needed for video calls (which it excels at, looking as good as any laptop webcam on a Teams or Zoom call).

You really dont understand why foldables hsve lesser cameras than slab phones? The camera bump would he ridiculously thick if you put the Pixel Pro camera hardware on it. Same with the Z Fold... you can't put the S24U hardware on the Z Fold without it being obnoxious looking/feeling.
The keyboard doesn't have to be split. You can change it in the settings.
wish it had a stylus, feel stlyus are usefull for video and photo editing.

It's the thinnest of the phone is why they couldn't put better cameras in it. What I don't understand is the damn 21 watt charging, for a $2000 phone is egregious. My z fold 6 is too narrow and now for sale if anybody needs a 1tb. The best foldable is the Pixel but the OnePlus open is overall better although it's a year old it's still solid! I wish the Pixel had a 1tb option and it would be my main driver. When the iPhone which I have no intention on getting this year, because it's a money grab now has 45 watt charging! Also I have iPhone 15 pro max 1tb for sale too! I'm going all android this year! The s24 ultra is phone of the year!

Folding phones only sell enough to justify making a new model each year. They do not sell in the qua cities to justify lowering the cost

So random. I used to watch your sneaker videos.
I've had mine for 20 days and I was recommending it like CRAZY... HOWEVER a couple hours ago id say be very cautious and HAVE INSURANCE. I've only opened the inner daily about 7 times. The last one I hear grinding and the inner display is now cracked through the entire crease.

Not as good as the OnePlus. Had the pixel 9 pro fold for 10 days and compared it to my OnePlus, and my Z fold 5 and my OnePlus is still by far the best foldable in my opinion. For many reasons.
The OnePlus feels cheap.i had one and returned it. Notifications wasn't great either .
@@halfmanamazing549 "feels cheap" isn't the same as "is cheap" cause the OnePlus is made with exact same quality materials as the pixel. Notifications is just subjective. I love the notifications.

@@markedgerton4170 Do you like the fast charge? The OnePlus Open fast charge , from 0 to full in 50 minutes. Wireless is so overrated, still takes a wire, so you save 2 seconds of plugging it in.
For the price it is not worth it.

Just my experience... but my P9PF doesnt get any warmer than any other phone ive used. And when he says its thicker than a candy bar phone, i think it's worth clarifying that it's BARELY thicker. Its a minimal difference.
I go back and forth between this and the fold 6, they both have their pluses and minuses. Agree about the cameras for the money they should be better but this is why i have an s23/24 ultra ..if i need to take amazing shots i hop on one of those (plus i use the Spen alot as a die hard former note user)
I have to disagree with the iPhone camera taking better photos than the Pixel. Even the first Pixel Fold took better photos than iPhone 15 Pro.
You're not using the inside screens enough (yet) because you aren't used it - that's why you keep using it as a 'regular' phone. you must unlearn, what you have learned.
