I’m 51 years old and a novice at strength training. My bulk/size has come mainly from very physically demanding jobs. I’m trying to finally get control over my over all fitness and this channel and your content is so on point. I’m drinking in your advice and experience. I look forward to more content that will help me grow and reach my goals!!! Thanks guys!!!! From Franklin Kentucky…
Thanks Gary, after many many searches on RUclips for training tips, I have chosen you as my best instructor. Since last July, I have already lost close to 20 lbs and work out every other day. At 58 I love it🙏
You guys are the best for us older guys. I am 75 and am recovering once again from cancer (for the fourth time). I have worked out an ran most of my life but in wathching your videos you have helped me lift more correctly and avoid injury. Thanks and keep the vids coming.
I push straight down and open my plams at the bottom. Hads are on top of bar not wrapped around the bar. Outside and inside push downs.... Now I have tendinitis in my right elbow and too much pain to do the straight push downs.
For whatever reason, when I try and do a tricep push-back type exercise, my triceps will cramp almost immediately. I can do dip type tri' stuff all day long, but extending and pushing resistance back with the tri' is no-bueno.
53 and not seeing a lot of growth-really like your bicep video and this one too-what are your thoughts on the standing overhead rope tricep extension? Seems to cause me some elbow pain....
Are you speaking of diamond push-ups? I'm 70 and finish my upper body workouts with about 15 in a 30 second limit. Regular ones at 40-50. What others can I do that might be more beneficial?
Great wisdom but keep it simple and don’t talk too much. You’re annoying when you’re talking and try not to sound like someone with PHD just be yourself bro.
Oh, no. So interested, and you do a great job. Then I saw the three crosses. Three. Different sizes. Weights and Jesus. Ancient Hebrew literature. 2023. Help.
Funny thing is that I found this channel about the time I started reading Dr John Walton's "Lost World of Genesis 1." Be better physically, be better spiritually, and be better at studying the word of God!
@@Zancarius Thanks, because I am sure you mean well here for me. However, please consider the entitlement thing about simply "knowing" you are correct about all of that and that I need it. In our time we absolutely KNOW that none of any religion is true; we know it; things have been proven after so much time of man not much of anything. I cannot prove there is no god out there. You cannot prove there is. It's OK. I want you to have that if you need it; that is WHY ancient religions were created and felt. Of course they were! I would have imagined something if I had lived in ancient times-something to explain mysteries and wonder, something to help me feel as if I had a leg up in the world such as prayer (magic spells which also make us feel better) and something to explain death (which is a mystery but I give that its own category!). And, there are much more sinister reasons for religion. It was tough for me at first. I lost my invisible friends and so much of my imagines strengths in this dreadful condition we have here. If you are a Christian, then your god is one of the worst if not THE worst-pure evil, and, he says, the creator of evil. And JESUS!! That character is bizarre and worse than his daddy. "Jesus" wanted to fulfill all the horrific laws of his daddy! I do ask you to think. And, I wish you well.
@@josephcollins6033 this is not the ideal forum to unpack a laundry list of misgivings you have with religion, particularly Christianity. Neither am I particularly interested in addressing each issue, point-by-point when you have already started the discussion dismissively by staying that you "encourage [me] to think," which itself smacks of the same entitlement you have accused me of. I have read-and thought-on this matter for a long time, even through a period of agnosticism and have read volumes and volumes on the topic. I am as convinced by God's existence as you are of his purported nonexistence and doubtless neither will change the other's mind. Good day and I wish you well. Blessings to you.

Great exercises! How many sets and reps do we do for each? Especially the skull crushers, Thanks 🙏
I forgot to tell you I am 74 yrs. old. Do pushup 4 sets at 25 reps, wide, close and shoulder width. On dumbbells...
Thank you Gary. You reinforce many of the things I’m doing. You are my go to person. Like the videos.
Excellent teaching. Well explained, executed and to the point.
Outstanding! Thank you!
Thanks great info bro

I damaged my hands and wrists in the Army. Can I use dumbbells to do the pushups?
Out of curiosity Mr Walker, how big are your arms at the moment?.
What machine is that
Can we older men who no longer can get down on the floor do the close grip push-ups in an incline using bench to place our hands on?

No mention of number of reps and rest period in between sets?
👏🏾💯

LOL. Yeah, I had the same reaction.
