@@RaptorJesus I feel like that part is the only place we see the true feelings of the singer. Everything else is false bluster (how he's better than the agent, how the agent could work hard to get on his level, how everyone loves him, how he's the major star and the agent is just a minor character). It's the only part of the song where he isn't boasting about how great he is (and he interrupts the rich pleasant baritone singing to add a hiss of hatred that deviates from the otherwise professional singing in the rest of the song), which implies this is the true motivation behind all that he's doing.
I didn't think they could make a song that both better fit the Spy esthetic as well as being better period. But they did it. Wish more youtube channels did these games. Everyone played the first but IMO the second and third are ten times the quality each and it's flown under a lot of radars. I wanna see reactions!
Saw some of a lets-play of this game and honestly didn't realise VR games were being produced with this level of production quality and writing. Genuinely now considering buying a headset so I can try them for myself, including playing through your games (and part 3, of course!) And yeah, the comments about the song are totally right, it's so damn rare these days that a theme song really communicates what the experience will be like and gets you in the right frame of mind to be playing it (or watching, same issue with movies!). Amazing work to the team behind it all!
The opening credits to both the sequel and the original are top notch productions. I especially like the new song. After playing the game it fits perfectly with the story line and is an absolute fantastic musical piece on its own.. Bravo!
Honestly, I think you guys are the only ones that managed to use VR like this for the intro. I kind of expected Valve to have something similar for HL Alyx, like they did back then with Half Life 1.
I can not describe the feeling I got when I first opened the game and saw this. Viewing this for the first time in VR is not something that can be captured by a video. Good job for making 2 of the best VR games I’ve ever played.
I didnt play rhe first game, I wasnt expecting a lot. This intro completely won me over in 30 seconds with that first transition. They completely nailed the bond intro song aesthetic.

I really liked John Juniper's character in this game. He's so prickly and greedy, consumed by the idea of himself. I'm glad that the devs keep the game interesting by having a somewhat new focus character as a villain each game, even if Zor is always the presiding one in the end.
In VR its even better. I shed a tear everytime I play it on repeat. Its become part of my routine when I play the game. Its always 2 things. Play the oprning credits and eat everything out of the minifridge like a goblin.
I can't believe I missed out on the sequel. As always, amazing work schell, you really are magicians at this craft. And great vocals by the puddles pity party, "Cuz the truth is, I despise you" sounded so raw and emotional, I loved it

Playing the sequel made the first game look like a proof of concept. This game improved on it in every way.
When the intro is this good, you know this game is going to be something special!
"But Agent! Without power... you'll fall to your death!"
"There's only one issue with that, you expect me to die."
WHY ISN'T THIS MORE GODDAMN FAMOUS
Its been nine months you'd think from the popularity of the first game would make this game more famous
"The credits are more than just the end"
GOD that hit hard
I know nothing about the game but the theme song is killer! Five gold thumbs up!
if you have a vr set get this game
if you dont have a vr set get one
and then you have a vr set so uh
you should get this game. now.
@@georgeknox9042 yeah but no money
:(
Im gonna be honest not only is the spy and the liar a excellent title i feel like it would make for a great movie title too and the song is once again amazing too
Thank you. You guys created one of my favorite games of all time, and now I get to experience the next chapter alongside everyone else. So thank you. Already finished the first 2 levels, having so much fun so far. :)
Someone get MGM on the line. We've found an artist for the next bond film
Puddles Pity Party's singing is simply SPECTACULAR!
Still one of the best openings I've seen for a set of games, great job!
Puddles Pity Party did an amazing job! The whole thing is amazing
"you be the spy and i'll be the liar" is a line that goes so unbelievably hard
Big news, Agents! Your new missions will be available on August 24, 2021.

Cool can’t wait
I have replayed the demo so many times, its amazing
=D
One of the scenes is jittery
Please let us Preorder it on Steam! I don't want to wait until August 24th to purchase it.
Wish more youtube channels did these games. Everyone played the first but IMO the second and third are ten times the quality each and it's flown under a lot of radars. I wanna see reactions!
So...
Another song to belt out in the shower.
Saw some of a lets-play of this game and honestly didn't realise VR games were being produced with this level of production quality and writing. Genuinely now considering buying a headset so I can try them for myself, including playing through your games (and part 3, of course!)
And yeah, the comments about the song are totally right, it's so damn rare these days that a theme song really communicates what the experience will be like and gets you in the right frame of mind to be playing it (or watching, same issue with movies!). Amazing work to the team behind it all!
The best line is "if all the world's a stage let's set it on fire so you be the spy and I'll be the liar"
IEYTD2 was the first of the series I played and this was fantastic to see; i've played VR for a couple of years and haven't seen anything like it
its my favorite one barely beating 3
I've watched this 10 times now I think I'm addicted to the music and visuals
I didnt play rhe first game, I wasnt expecting a lot. This intro completely won me over in 30 seconds with that first transition.
They completely nailed the bond intro song aesthetic.
The original opening credits absolutely blew me away, and although I’ve clicked on this video I’m not going to watch it because I want to see them in VR
One of the all time most perfect villain songs ever
Lyrics:
From the spotlight,
I can see you,
Play your cards right,
kill your stage fright,
this could be you.
If all the worlds a stage,
let’s set it on fire,
So you be the spy and I’ll be the liar.
From the background,
You can hear me,
Highest billing,
makes a killing,
they revere me.
That beautiful mask you wear is all i desire,
So you be the spy and I’ll be the liar.
Face to Face to Face again,
And through the camera lens we ascend,
You’re a minor part,
I’m the major star,
HA
The credits are more than just the eeeeeeend.
Cause the truth is,
I despise you,
I will tear apart,
All these works of art,
That disguise you.
I’m making the Final Cut,
It’s down to the wire,
So you be the spy and I’ll be the liar,
And I’ll be the liar.
And I’ll be the liar.
And I’ll be the liaaarrr.

Thank you for making such an amazing game can’t wait for the third one
I imagine john juniper and Roxanna havening wine together in the zorg office of the afterlife watching zoraxis industrys fall apart
They both expect Zoraxis to die
I’m thinking that the actor is really the main villain from the first game.
no shit sherlock lol
The hollywood movie star actor, I mean he had camera's spotlights on him, and film reels beneath his stand, so I believe that's what you mean
So you mean Zorax is just the face but he's the actual bad guy?
@@stupit467 not willing to go that far
I doubt he’s actually Dr. Zor, but they’re probably working together.
This is the theme song for that theatre kid with a villain complex
The first song was like a start of a musical, this is the final battle of a musical and I love it
out of all 3 songs i love this one the most
Bro this better this is better than the multi million dollar budget international releases that pop craps out on a daily basis 💀
I really liked John Juniper's character in this game. He's so prickly and greedy, consumed by the idea of himself. I'm glad that the devs keep the game interesting by having a somewhat new focus character as a villain each game, even if Zor is always the presiding one in the end.
every Schell Games intro makes me gush as a theater and cinema nerd
Chills, this song is.... awe inspiring. 20/10 I cannot wait for the full release!
I like this one better (in both visuals and actual song) than the first even though that one is really good too.
this is my favourite of the songs so far
one the best ways to show credits in a game
I would just love a movie like this in vr. Stunning as always, music’s amazing, I’m excited for this game 100%
These credits actually made me say “wow, this is awesome” out loud
In VR its even better. I shed a tear everytime I play it on repeat. Its become part of my routine when I play the game. Its always 2 things. Play the oprning credits and eat everything out of the minifridge like a goblin.
Cant wait for this, I expect you to die was my favourite vr game so finding out this was a thing gave me so much joy
I can't believe I missed out on the sequel. As always, amazing work schell, you really are magicians at this craft. And great vocals by the puddles pity party, "Cuz the truth is, I despise you" sounded so raw and emotional, I loved it
