Some cameras have an extra wise lens and the advertise it. For example the Sony ax53 i use to shoot the RUclips videos has a 20x wide. My ax33 has a 10x lens. The 53 goes much wider and and a little closer on the telephoto side of things. The 33 can focus much closer though. Almost the dust on the lens when in wide mode. The 53 not so much but, the 53 will give good close up with the zoom function much closer than the 33. Ax33 i have to be on wide and bring camera in close. Ax53 i can leave it 2 feet away on mount and use the lens to get a close up shot.
I have been trying to get 50 for the DVD camera i picked up last summer. Have plenty of 20 offers. I said for 20 they can have it no battery no charger.
Bargains are out there it’s potluck. An ideal vacation or party camera. How things are changing a tv studio in your pocket to think a camera disks and a few batteries and you could film for a day in hd
Sure did. This one is a keeper. A Blu-ray version would be nice but finding the disks would be tough. At least this records full HD on regular DVD+RW and I have i spindle if 10 or 12 i forget. Its full anyway. Its cool because like tape there is physical media involved and it used a laser. How cool is that. Blu-ray players all play the disks too.
Very nice find! You have beautiful foliage where you live! What is your temperature at the time of recording? Looks like a lot of things are coming back after winter!
I not too long ago found a hard drive based hd camcorder in box with all cables and remote for 20€ its an amazing camera it can also take sd cards up to 128gb and has 30gb internal drive
Thats a great camera for very little money :-D I guess that it would have made your wallet cry if you had bought it new. That disk looked like a hard sectored disk, or im just a bad guesser.
@@12voltvids it cant be better than your cameras, but you do seem very happy. Is it just the ease of downloading a large video and not needing a s.d card?
@@zx8401ztv it's not as good as my production cameras. Its more of a novelty but at least it's HD. The other one i will just sell for what i paid for this one. This was made when Sony was still stuck in the memory stick groove. Might have been the last model to use the MS-Pro. The next model could use a MS or SDHC card. Even the current one I use can use either. It was cool the way they did it too. Memory stick goes in one way and as card the other way. Direct to disk is convenient as you can just pop the disk into computer or Blu-ray player but in reality SD is much more convenient as the transfer time is faster than reading off disk. Disk is faster then tape though. I will do a shoot out video some day to compare the 2 HDV cameras I have with this one. I'll do that once there is more color out in the spring.
I had Best Buy sell me a cable modem that was supposed to be brand new but it had been used in someone else’s house and it wouldn’t activate and they don’t have to tell you that it’s new or refurbished.
Considering what some people think they are worth. Some idiot thinks an hdrcx900 is worth 1000. That's an old HD handycam. It was replaced with the fdtax100 4k, which has since been replaced with the ax700. An ax100 might be worth 800 today but not a cx900. A working hi8 or d8 camera is worth more for playback of old tapes but the modern digital cameras not so much because new cameras have better picture and are cheap.
Nice videos!, very nice neighborhood, Dave, like the nice green plants, shady trees 🌳 😀
Nothing here under 1.8 million.
That's pretty impressive for 40 bucks!
nice camera the thing I miss when using my Panasonic full hd one is the wide camera that most phones now have so you see much more.

That same one as your old one is going for $200 on FB Marketplace in my area. Good deal.

Well i can do that with my SD based camera, and even more. 128g memory card holds hours in 4k!
Now I see why some small market stations that I serviced their transmitters were using these small Sony HD cameras! They look good.

Lol and to think people think 40 years old 8mm cameras are worth 500 untested.
For 5 mbps its pretty damn good
Yes looks good. Even in DVD mode looks better than the other DVD camera.
Nice specs on that camera! Made me want to go and find one. What , you mean it works? I thought this was going to be a repair.
Nice

It is, but no rubber cup to seal out light.

Its just a DVD+RW disk. Nothing fancy just the small 1.4g type.

Looks a little better than the dvd camera. I'll pass that one on to someone else.
Nice camera
It works good. Interesting that the SD videos are better than the other DVD camera. Must be the cmos sensor is higher rez.
